Fantastic and genuine. For many reasons. It's before modern football ruined all the fun. No football tourism. And it's before mobile phones had cameras on them so there's no twats filming it on their mobile phones instead of joining in. It's just real. I'd give up a testicle to go back to those days when football was football.
Its 2023 and this is nearly 30 years ago, I was there sneaked in when they opened the gates after the match, top days! Nothing will beat the night we beat Blackburn the year before, never had a brief so couldn't get in, there was thousands outside all bouncing about, I along with me mate climbed on a billboard, ( what a sight) I had a bobbed haircut and wearing a bright orange top lol some fella took a photo of us, if he reads this get in touch! Would love the photo as my mate is no longer with us! RIP ant gone but never forgotten, ! Mufc!
Had a LMTB in there for 17yrs, best seat in the ground. Stair 19, Row 12, Seat 141. Right on the aisle it was, cud nip for a piss in 60secs without disturbing anyone ! Knocker
That is why we have great fans and follow our teams all over the world. The repetition of the song which went on for longer than the video depicts how tribal following sport is. If you could ever feel that intensity you would be in awe and praising the Red Army.
Appreciate the offer, man...may have to take you up on it some day. Hopefully sooner than later. ;) You guys sounded great yesterday....was watching from Main Event here in Toronto, the official home of the Manchester United Supporters Club of Canada. Good crowd there too, singing right along with you.
i will be going to the arsenal game at old trafford and i may be a day tripper but don't worry i'm gonna stand and sing my fookin heart out even if the people in the directors box tell me to sit down i ain't gonna listen lol
The scarves for United did well last night, the spinning for the Ronaldo song was good but, how good was the Red Flag. I thoght K stand looked good from our end my mate said the Stretford End looked good. Well done!!!! credit to you for the spectacle. I watched a rerun of the game this morning but you did not see the scarves on TV. Booked my flight for Moscow today no accommodation yet.
I stood down there about 6 rows back from the goal against Sunderland this season on a mates season ticket and the atmosphere was brilliant. Usually when I go to Old Trafford I get stuck in poxy seats like the quadrants or Tier 2 of the Scoreboard End and it's full of bloody day trippers
My best guess is that the 'hardcore fans' sit in the K Stand and Stretford End (more specifically tier 2). I have a season ticket in the K Stand (E237).
classic vid mate, see that their creating a singin section in old trafford now, need to do something, if only home support was as good as our away support, top notch that is
I agree, take a look at the picture in last months Red News centre spread taken by John Chesworth (well done) I was so caught up in the atmosphere that I did'nt have the forethought to take such a great picture. It looked brilliant as a spectical. We do seem to be singing Never Die recently.
It was when this was video was taken but it was the same as the Stretford End. I have some great memories standing. The atmoshere was much much better than it is today. I am Stretford End lower and we will stand most if not all night tomorrow.
If im right in saying that, back in the day, it was only known as the Scoreboard End. But when a few seats where put in the seated section became known as the K Stand and a standing section along the front was known as the Scoreboard Paddock. And I take it the United Road Paddock is a section of the nowadays North stand, where it connects up with the J Stand.
This was the last ever game in which standing terracing featured at Old Trafford. Straight after this game, this whole stand in the video was essentially renovated with seats added for standing and the concourse replaced with the one that's there today. This is therefore the last ever time I got caught up in a huge surge at Old Trafford, we had a dissalowed goal and when it went in everyone pushed forward and I went flying .. hasn't happened since.
did u go to the derby match ? saw a dozen lads in the k-stand get ejected out of the stadium after we scored the 4th goal, looked like they ran up to the man city fans and were really giving it to them haha loved it... best atmosphere in a long time !!
Well done mate, you are totally right. Another thing we should do is ut away fans inthe top tier of the North Stand. We should start a campaign "AWAY FANS IN NORTH STAND"
Alright mate. Do you think the atmosphere has improved at all this season compared to the beginning of last season? And I want to try more campaigns have you got any ideas because I haen't, thanks.
It is gathering momentum. It has been mentioned by quite a few of my mates on Sunday in the Greatstone. Keep putting threads on Red Issue and Red News and United We Stand. Keep the Red flag flying high at the West Ham game. Keep up the good work
I was there pal great day this was after the Coventry match, I stand was brilliant, I remember being in k stand when we played arsenal it was the match when david rowcastle got sent off, we was right above the arsenal fans and they took the whole scoreboard end ( fare play) it was around bonfire night, when they scored a few whistling bangers were thrown on to them, they didnt know what was going on haha only trying to keep them warm! Welcome to old Trafford!! Mufc!
3 of my mates got kicked out Wednesday night singing on the concourse after half time. The Police went in heavy handed nicking young lads. They said it was a good buzz all the same
thats cuz nowadays the lower stand stretford end is sadly filling up with a lot of family members (except for the upper tier which has the vocal fans), glad to see the k stand has still kept it`s hardcore support over the years though and ur right this stand doesnt get enough credit.
I agree with you. I did toy with the idea of not renewing this year, but I changed my mind as usual. It is annoying that you get so many tourists with the cameras and eating ice cream etc. we are not affected to much in the stretford end, although quite a few don't show and sell their tickets for the big games. It is their choice after all. Lets hope we have another good season.
K Stand ppl still sing nowadays guys, maybe it doesn't rock like it used to but unlike the Prawn Sandwich Brigade and the North Stand (mainly Tier 1 and 2), we still make some noise (sometimes, if not often enough, it is comparable to the Stretford End) K Stand Barmy Army
this is the best video on yout ube bar none. Fucking love it. I wish they'd call the stands the proper names again, United Rd, K stand J stand and the paddocks on each of those. Tho i suppose north west east n south are easier for day trippers and execs.
Thats rich coming from a prick from the virgin islands. At least I can read and write. If you have ever watched football you would recognise our Eric as one of the finest footballers to grace the Old Trafford turf. Eric the King we thank you for your skill and making us the team we are today
I agree with you the Villa fans were so insignificant, it does not add to the match day atmosphere. What is needed is safe standing to create an atmosphere, as match-days are pretty poor for most games and getting worse. How many regulars have disappeared from around you. How much does the crowd change at cup games. Away is better and possibly the best was Blackburn last year. Keep singing and keep the faith. See you in Hanover
UNITED SUPPORTERS We are trying to get the song 'We'll never die' sung pre-match with scarves aloft like it was at the city match. We need help to do this. This would make sure the atmosphere at Old Trafford is fucking loud again. If you want to help re-post this comment on every United TH-cam video you watch and help spread the message about our 'Scarves for United' campaign.
East stand is the old K and scoreboard end. The reason for the change was due to the tradgedy at Hillsborough. All clubs with the exception of Liverpool to my knowledge have changed the names for the benefit of the emergency services. And yes the Stretford End or West stand is where most of the singers are. I am in W13 which is the lower stand and i would not change it.
@JRBoothy2009 The Atmosphere against the bitters Semi final was tops in K stand. Being so close to the dissapointment of the last 34 years being extended was priceless. Off to Munich Sunday.
Don't wish to upset you mate, a Red is a Red whatever part of the ground you are in. Baiting the away fans is about the best buzz you can get andyes a lot of TOP Reds are in that part of the stand. I sit next to Ken in Stretford lower as he had to leave that part of K for his own health. Its OK when you are winning to be there, but not as good when we get a bad result. Away games are the best for atmosphere. Tickets for these games seem to go to a lot of corporates. Lets all sing UNITED
Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the Spurs fans at OT. Last season both in the league and cup Spurs gave a good account of themselves. Plus a few of you were drinking in the Greatstone prior to the game. Always welcome. By the way thanks for Berbatov and good luck against all but us this season. Well done at chelski last week
Finally someone who knows what they're on about. My mate keeps saying just have safe standing for the Stretty but what's the point when everybody stands anyway? K Stand needs more help. SAFE STANDING AT OLD TRAFFORD!!!!
Brilliant video...put a huge smile on my face. Never been to Old Trafford, or any English ground,f or that matter (being Canadian), but OT tops my list. Being a lifelong United supporter will do that to a lad. ;) Hope to be celebrating with you lot come May.
Fantastic and genuine. For many reasons. It's before modern football ruined all the fun. No football tourism. And it's before mobile phones had cameras on them so there's no twats filming it on their mobile phones instead of joining in. It's just real. Back in the good old days. Used to be like this in the 00s too - before the Glazers sucked the life and soul out of the club.
Awesome.
Get this kind of atmosphere back at Old Trafford now.
Brings a tear to my eye, oh what a night! although the J stand was the place to be!! RIP the mighty mighty K stand. MUFCUM.
This is mental, would have loved to been there that day.. would pay a million to go back in time!
the good old days. sends shivers down your spine. manchester born and bRED.
Goosebumps overload!❤
this is frickin awesome.....to all others watch and learn (i have my book out taking notes....lol)
This aint nothing compared to the Scoreboard Paddock in the 70's ha ha....Now that was Barmy.
👌👌👍
Too true mate it had wooden flooring as well right at the back
Oh aye I remember that jumping on the wooden stands made some noise
Had a LMTB in there for 17yrs, best seat in the ground. Stair 19, Row 12, Seat 141. Right on the aisle it was, cud nip for a piss in 60secs without disturbing anyone ! Knocker
This was the last game of the season in 1994 v Coventry.
That is why we have great fans and follow our teams all over the world. The repetition of the song which went on for longer than the video depicts how tribal following sport is. If you could ever feel that intensity you would be in awe and praising the Red Army.
i miss these days soo much
I'm stunned! Wish it could be like that in todays game.
those where the days my freinds!!
LEGENDARY !! Quality !
i was in there. Just an ace day.
You had me searching for ages as well "K" stand barmy army
Appreciate the offer, man...may have to take you up on it some day. Hopefully sooner than later. ;)

This is unreal. Pity I wasn't there. I was only 6 at the time, but as a massive Utd fan it looks unbelivable.
Top video mate.I was in the Scoreboard End below that day. Some fucker let off a red smoke flare and everyones skin and clothes turned red.Great days!
The scarves for United did well last night, the spinning for the Ronaldo song was good but, how good was the Red Flag. Class
Sooo damn goood!!
wiches from Germany
Great vid. Was a 'United Roader' myself but this looks like fun. Would only see scenes like this at away grounds now sadly.
me too till my mate got boring and started us going in the stretford padock
what is even rarer is a video of your mob singing at home
My best guess is that the 'hardcore fans' sit in the K Stand and Stretford End (more specifically tier 2). I have a season ticket in the K Stand (E237).
classic vid mate, see that their creating a singin section in old trafford now, need to do something, if only home support was as good as our away support, top notch that is

No mongs chucking beer about . Proper united
I was there that night in k stand unforgettable night 30 yrs season ticket holder brilliant
It was real then, it will never be repeated. They just throw beer now. This is legendary. Stretford lower now
If im right in saying that, back in the day, it was only known as the Scoreboard End. But when a few seats where put in the seated section became known as the K Stand and a standing section along the front was known as the Scoreboard Paddock.

Yes! we can't go back to the days of fighting on the terrace but safe standing areas behind the goal would help mto get the atmosphere going.
Fuckin amazing! I'm too young to have been able to be apart of times like this. It's a fuckin shame it's still not like that.
This is K stand which was never standing, the standing was below in the scoreboard paddock
@@rw7871 I'm inclined to think this footage is of the scoreboard end concourse
This chant would make a great techno track!
Before mobile phones had camera's on them! It's before mobile phones for the majority of matchgoing fans back in them days!
couldnt agree more!
we need more chants that get the fans on there feet
did u go to the derby match ? saw a dozen lads in the k-stand get ejected out of the stadium after we scored the 4th goal, looked like they ran up to the man city fans and were really giving it to them haha loved it... best atmosphere in a long time !!
north stand season ticketholder wishing i could be a k stand
Well done mate, you are totally right. Another thing we should do is ut away fans inthe top tier of the North Stand. We should start a campaign "AWAY FANS IN NORTH STAND"
im there somewhere , those were the days
i was in with lot it was an ace day .
'K Stand' is the old name for the 1st tier of the East Stand.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Think we're gonna try and recreate this tomorrow at Red Square! Should be good!
You are not wrong, the away games are the best. Euro aways are the ultimate.
Nice one.
class
yea would be amazing wudnt it imagin that every game would be unreal mate spread the word we can get the atmosphere back at OT!!
if you look on the video, it was from 1994,
you dont get that anymore nowadays
good show on the scarves today. I think the last home match against WHU will see a great show
Alright mate. Do you think the atmosphere has improved at all this season compared to the beginning of last season? And I want to try more campaigns have you got any ideas because I haen't, thanks.
If you are asking me, the answer is yes and one of the blokes that goes up with us travels from Pompey each game. That is called dedication.
It is gathering momentum. It has been mentioned by quite a few of my mates on Sunday in the Greatstone. Keep putting threads on Red Issue and Red News and United We Stand. Keep the Red flag flying high at the West Ham game. Keep up the good work

nice chant ;)

32 Years.
Do you know where the 'J Stand - We Do Alright' quote is from?
J stand as the old scoreboard section next to K stand. The opposite side to the away fans section.
thats cuz nowadays the lower stand stretford end is sadly filling up with a lot of family members (except for the upper tier which has the vocal fans), glad to see the k stand has still kept it`s hardcore support over the years though and ur right this stand doesnt get enough credit.
imagine a man city fan walking into that lot and asking "where are the gents toilets" lol
I agree with you. I did toy with the idea of not renewing this year, but I changed my mind as usual. Heard this was against Coventry in 94??
If so i was there!! Still got my stub.
GLad you enjoyed it.
My Mates were in it same again this Saturday at Worst Ham or maybe News Years Day against Birmingham
yea mate we need to do it!!! would be good and get the daytrippers out :D
at least ppl on K Stand make an effort in generating some noise
Those were the days
My pleasure. Hope to have some good vids from Moscow
Thats rich coming from a prick from the virgin islands. At least I can read and write. If you have ever watched football you would recognise our Eric as one of the finest footballers to grace the Old Trafford turf. Eric the King we thank you for your skill and making us the team we are today

Im a ST holder in the K Stand nowadays.
This video upsets me :(, our fans used to be so good
Amazing. LOVE UNITED HATE GLAZER.
Respect from Poland.
an 'army' that is slightly mental in a fun way
@JRBoothy2009
The Atmosphere against the bitters Semi final was tops in K stand. Being so close to the dissapointment of the last 34 years being extended was priceless. Off to Munich Sunday.
can you tell me, what the k stand is??
Don't wish to upset you mate, a Red is a Red whatever part of the ground you are in. Baiting the away fans is about the best buzz you can get andyes a lot of TOP Reds are in that part of the stand. Good idea to get out of the North stand, although the atmosphere has been better up there this season
Safe standing and cheaper tickets. I think the standing areas should be season ticket only, to reward the loyal fans who follow them everywhere
Proper days in the K Stand 🔴⚪️⚫️
IMO no, but on the big games the K-Stand is quality, but still for me the Stretford end is where all the noise comes from.
I heard Rise was arrested on the M62 heading the wrong way
Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the Spurs fans at OT. Last season both in the league and cup Spurs gave a good account of themselves. Spread the WORD
sadly couldnt re-new. however i will be at most home and away games.
Blackpool Reds we are here.
Awesome lets have it again son
Do you recognise any of the Preston boys on the train from Rome
Finally someone who knows what they're on about. My mate keeps saying just have safe standing for the Stretty but what's the point when everybody stands anyway? K Stand needs more help.
SAFE STANDING AT OLD TRAFFORD!!!!
Brilliant video...put a huge smile on my face.
Never been to Old Trafford, or any English ground,f or that matter (being Canadian), but OT tops my list. Being a lifelong United supporter will do that to a lad. ;)
Hope to be celebrating with you lot come May.
Lifelong, eh...?
😁
