At 36 per case, that's less than 6 cases to see 200 on average (218 in 6 cases) if that stays consistent. People dooming on ratios - thats similar/better than core where you see 25 total but here you see way more. While it's really Platinum Secret Bonanza, thats still a great number of QCRs.

Looks very solid, better than RC2. I think a few cards like Fenrir, Druiswurm, Lubellion, Metamorphosis etc would have made this rival RC1. My wallet is ready :)

The more i look at the set the better it feels like it gets. People may not know some of the old format cards that are just annoying to get a hold of. There are just some random cards you do a double take on and go "oh thats in there too? Dang".
It's a great set for Time Wizard formats, Edison/GOAT mostly but also Toss format as well as giving Rulers, Nekroz max rarity for being meta defining. One card I really wished to see though, was Bagooska. Still hasn't got its LART and still hasn't got a more shiny version, despite being arguably the most played generic Rank 4 since release.
I think overall it’s a great set. Loved to have seen Glad Beast Retiari and Trap Dustshoot in the nostalgia pool and the Salamangreat link 4 in the main set but you can’t have them all. Kudos to Konami to make these kind of reprint sets other games could only dream of

Okay, this looks very promising. Seems like it should be fun to open, maybe a single pack will miss but a full box is guaranteed to be full of bangers. A few cards in need of reprints are noticeably missing (magical android comes to mind) but there are sooo many of these that were randomly just $5-10 and difficult to find in good condition, a handful that were $20+. And for once, the huge set list can be excused because somehow they managed to find 200 cards where almost every one seems like it belongs and is worth putting in there
I want to preface this by saying that rhis set is probably the best set since RC1 and eons better than RC2. The omissions are still glaring on the time wizard side. No Dustshoot or Metamorphosis upgrades. No Royal Oppression, no Tribe Infecting Virus, no X Sabers or Glad Beast cards that desperately need them like Retiari, War Chariot, Hyunlei, or Faultroll. And the crown jewel of missed opportunities Pheonixian Cluster Amaryllis which commands an obnoxious 60+ usd price point now though I retract slightly by saying g8ven the pull ratios of this set it wouldn't have affected the secondary market much. Overall still a 8.5/10 set.
I can't even imagine how much a full set of the nostalgia pool would be in 5-10 years. Lots of stuff I'm picking up. I feel like they struck a good balance between Rarity 1/2, it's affordable and you get 1 platinum guaranteed in every pack. I think I'll probably go for a full plat set over time. With Edison/goat being popular, there is so much long term value here. I also feel like a lot of cards will go overlooked, like vampire lord. With Surging Sparks, Prismatic Evolutions, and now Bonanza my wallet is on fire. (Yes I know I mentioned Pokemon)
I’m laying in bed and I’m looking at this list. Fuck man I see beast, barkion, Kizan, gateway, shi-en,Hyperion,machinas. That brought back so many memories of me and a bunch of the guys back in high school sitting in the cafeteria playing Agents, Dragunity, Sam, Dino Rabbits, Frogs and having mad people look at us yet we took up tables around 3 whole tables so about 15-20 players all dueling. We had our girls jump in too mine playing psychic with grandsoil. Shit that was a whole lifetime ago like around 2010-2012. Can’t believe it’s been over a decade and I’m still playing this damn game and out of that whole group only 1 of those guys still rolls with me. Man I fucking hate this game sometimes but were it not for this game I wouldn’t have met so many people today plus being a judge I wouldn’t have traveled the country as much as I have. Damn legit started to tear up. I think I might buy my old deck back thanks to this set and sit there and play a game with my boy like old times
Wow I’m kind of shocked Destiny Hero Plasma didn’t make the cut. But that list is still one of the best. A lot of well deserving cards that needed a reprint, especially in QCR.
Best set since RC1. I'll wait until these singles drop in price after the market flood and then I'll buy. Don't expect a lot of volatility in prices because the ratios are all over the place.
The thing I am most disappointed is the complete lack of Pendulums. I get it, they regret the mechanic and whatever but honestly they made players hate the mechanic due to MR3 rather than the mechanic in itself. And if one is celebrating 25th anniversary, it deserved more recognition, especially iconic ones which defined formats and which were on the banlist like Joker, Monkeyboard, Kirin.

Cool that S:P is going to finally be cheap (maybe it's time is near like what happened with Savage, Baronne, Apollousa. If not I can now always ruin someone's day with Ghost Reaper reveal S:P) the Nekroz cards also look appealing, especially if Terminal 2 from the OCG does have Nekroz and not Gishki as it's fourth archetype (still haven't officially learned yet as of typing this) and it may give me enough incentive to build Dogmatika/Nekroz (nice fuwalos playset, idiot. My extra deck is almost exclusively tribute fodder and a means to dismantle both your extra deck and board while I barely special from deck. Possible new support helps my mentality on this) The only thing I'm not happy about is there's still no Reaper on the Nightmare reprint. I put it as a desired future qcr in konami's poll seeing as it has only two really old, hard to find printings that aren't usually in good condition but I'm personally worried the winner of that poll is going to be done like Magia (Konami, if you see this, just make Bonanza 2/another Rarity Collection set with all the cards in the poll. It would be better and make the people who put cards for it happy)

to me this makes no sense to reprint old cards with their errata. as a retro player i will always prefer to buy a version of the card before its errata regardless of the rarity because those cards mostly see no play today, they only make sense in retro formats like brain control or future fusion. it is a shame that they have their errata text in this edition
probably, considering they were doing surveys on what to include next, and we know that for OCG Supreme Darkness has QCR, indicating that it'll continue into 2025 at least for TCG.
So what I'm seeing is only 2 Toon cards have been turned into QCR, Kingdom in tins and BLS in this. If this is the only other QCR reprint set that has TOONS, I will be a very sad person

Dweller, seals, goddess, e con, lance, cyclone, fusion deployment, the planets that were all pricey, ultimate slayer, skill drain,anti spell, I'm sure i missed some but those are generic enough to be in metas for years to come. Just falling to see how there's anything comparable to that in bonanza for the meta.

Then on top you cant get the cards that would be the most expansive qcr cards bcs they already have a qcr print. The Umr still look terrible the crs look like super rares the only raritys that somewhat looks ok ish that is objective ofc are platinum sec and qcr.

It's too soon (from Konami's perspective.) The people who've spent £800 on a Magia will always have the QCSR version that's a collectible / valuable, then the rest of us peasants can have the ultra or whatever it is, my guess is that it won't happen until after the Blue Eyes SD comes to TCG in Feb.

Contrary to what everyone's saying here because it's how I see it but...this set is awful. The nostalgia pool ruined it by wasting a spot in each pack. The greatest majority of those cards are already very cheap as singles. If you're buying packs for what's in the nostalgia pool, you're the idiot funding Konami in their bad practices and you'll have to be buying product after product just to get something satisfying. Then there's the 78 card main set... watching the pulls hurts. Drastically less satisfying than either of the Rarity Collections where you're pulling amongst a pool of significantly more card names that consistently recur throughout several formats. And the fact there are some cards excluded from being qcr and they're good cards too takes away from the main qcr pool which is really the whole selling point of the RCs. RC1 your one box gave you several copies amongst several rarities of cards like Ash, Droplet, Prosperity to where a case got you multiple playsets of staples in super, ultra, AND secret. Here I'm seeing 1 super S:P and 2 Thrusts in different rarities between the 2 leaked boxes. Why? You only get 4 cards per pack versus 5; 24 less cards per box that come from the main set. They could've easily added Kash and Bystials to help change this, yet they didn't for really no reason, but let's take Ostinato that just got a reprint in OTS 26 and put that in...put in the cards from the tins and spit in the face of people who bought the tins (which were already a trash product as it was.) This is easily another singles set. Let the vendors buy the cases and sift through the sea of garbage pulls.
You say this, but the vendors are easily going to profit because the nostalgia pool is huge but the amount of nostalgia pulls per pack isn't. It almost makes up for the 2024 tins which are likely dead now as far as sealed product goes.
@@Vendetta162X Konami made the pool that large and harder to get so that the price could be inflated anyway. If you're buying sealed product you have to buy a lot to finish your collection. The chase singles for meta players are cards that should've been in the 2024 tins anyway. The real sell here is the nostalgia cards. If you care about that stuff you'll have to pay.

As a vintage player & collector, i want nothing to do with this set. The QCRs will look so ugly in a Goat / Edison deck.

Exactly. Everyone acting as if anyone and their grandma would pull SP, TTT and other singles they specifically want, in a single pack, in every pack. The sheer amount of pack openings and luck required is vast still.

Most people want the reprint for modern cards sp thrust diabellstar wanted princess etc, what the dont see is the chance of geting these is lower bcs 1 slot per pack is gone for the nostalgic cards. Then on top you cant get the cards that would be the most expansive qcr cards bcs they already have a qcr print. The Umr still look terrible the crs look like super rares the only raritys that somewhat looks ok ish that is objective ofc are platinum sec and qcr.

It's too soon (from Konami's perspective.) The people who've spent £800 on a Magia will always have the QCSR version that's a collectible / valuable, then the rest of us peasants can have the ultra or whatever it is, my guess is that it won't happen until after the Blue Eyes SD comes to TCG in Feb.

Contrary to what everyone's saying here because it's how I see it but...this set is awful.
The nostalgia pool ruined it by wasting a spot in each pack. The greatest majority of those cards are already very cheap as singles. If you're buying packs for what's in the nostalgia pool, you're the idiot funding Konami in their bad practices and you'll have to be buying product after product just to get something satisfying.
Then there's the 78 card main set... watching the pulls hurts. Drastically less satisfying than either of the Rarity Collections where you're pulling amongst a pool of significantly more card names that consistently recur throughout several formats. And the fact there are some cards excluded from being qcr and they're good cards too takes away from the main qcr pool which is really the whole selling point of the RCs.
RC1 your one box gave you several copies amongst several rarities of cards like Ash, Droplet, Prosperity to where a case got you multiple playsets of staples in super, ultra, AND secret. Here I'm seeing 1 super S:P and 2 Thrusts in different rarities between the 2 leaked boxes. Why? You only get 4 cards per pack versus 5; 24 less cards per box that come from the main set. They could've easily added Kash and Bystials to help change this, yet they didn't for really no reason, but let's take Ostinato that just got a reprint in OTS 26 and put that in...put in the cards from the tins and spit in the face of people who bought the tins (which were already a trash product as it was.)
This is easily another singles set. Let the vendors buy the cases and sift through the sea of garbage pulls.
You say this, but the vendors are easily going to profit because the nostalgia pool is huge but the amount of nostalgia pulls per pack isn't. It almost makes up for the 2024 tins which are likely dead now as far as sealed product goes.
@DReppin2009 I'm talking on the non-vendor, player/collector side. Of course they're going to inflate the prices of the nostalgia cards.
@@Vendetta162X Konami made the pool that large and harder to get so that the price could be inflated anyway. If you're buying sealed product you have to buy a lot to finish your collection. The chase singles for meta players are cards that should've been in the 2024 tins anyway. The real sell here is the nostalgia cards. If you care about that stuff you'll have to pay.
