i tested both and benny gives higher personal damage for hu tao, but jean boost furina and yelans damage instead, overall jean makes smother rotations specially after the first one where you need to rotate a lot more to heal everyone on benny's circle. id go with jean but both work fine.
@@PrimogemGI yeah it isn’t hard to have 4 5 stars but to have gotten lucky enough to have gotten the specific 4 for a team comp is a bit much, unless you’re whaling.
@kadoggie7808 eh not really I got hutao first figured out her good supports and that's how I built around my account. But the biggest problem is jean is never guaranteed so players may not have her
@@Zythroxes yeah I agree that it’s pretty easy to make a team out of any characters you have but again, it’s kinda unlikely to have the exact same characters as another player because of the gacha
Unfortunately I don't have Jean but I see Bennet is a good option to accompany Hu Tao in this TEAM. By the way, I see that Bennet's c6 has to be activated, that helps replace Hu Tao's passive a bit. When Hu Tao is below 50% health you get 33% pyro damage but on this team she will almost always be above 50% health. But bennet's c6 gives 15% pyro damage. So should I activate Bennet's c6 to improve my Hu Tao?
Furina already helping by giving a large amount of damage bonus herself. Bennett C6 will help some as well but it's not mandatory. I would only do it if you for sure don't/won't use anyone who he ruins (physical carries other than Fischl, Keqing, Ayaka)
You can but you may run into issues with hydro application. From what I've tested, sometimes furina + a hydro infused Kazuha burst isn't enough to keep vapes consistent. It will give you more damage with hu tao assuming you do a double swirl setup (swirl pyro on E, and swirl Hydro on burst) but overall it'll be a harder team to manage.
Bennet might give higher buff specially if Furina is C1 and above but it´s more of a risky option because all characters go below 50% hp, if the field character happens to miss Bennet´s ult it gets risky, personally, I play my C0 Furina with Jean with a lot of ER.
The problem with this comparison is that the boss is too weak, Jean is there to help hydro while Bennett is for Hutao. All the three have 18s CD, with this fast clear time, hydro units haven't got a chance to fully deal their full damage in a rotation, remember that Hutao has downtime as well. This video just showed that Bennett helped with front-loaded damage. If you're really strong then front-loaded dmg is usually better, otherwise total team rotation damage is more important. Not that I know whether Bennett or Jean is better for the team though.
I mean maybe? I can't see that making major difference tho. Hu Tao's downtime before the next rotation starts realistically is only maybe 2-4s and the only one dealing damage in that time is an unbuffed (no fanfare) Furina (Yelan's will have expired). Not to mention a longer clear time would play more into the Bennett team's favor since fanfare is not immediately maxed out like with Jean. Not only that but, there's not really another boss I can try with very high HP and little to no attacking/movement to eliminate as much human error as possible.
@@KinkleGenshinviviane of the lake will do…at least you’ll be able to segragate the hydro damage from the team and see if your hutao is really getting premium effect from the said comp and if you’ll really manage to build fanfare stacks with bennet as healer or everything is just copium.
@@Zerocyxone9Vivianne would completely negate Hydro damage making Bennett the easy winner in this comparison. That'd be a horrible test, even here you can clearly see Bennett's buff + about 60-70% initial fanfare is much stronger for hu tao's personal damage than the max fanfare buff alone that you get with jean, so there's little point in testing that separately. The point of the jean variation is to see if the extra team damage than jean will give to the hydros via hydro VV swirl and maxing fanfare immediately will outweigh what Bennett does for hu tao's personal damage, and in this case Bennett came on top.
@KinkleGenshin you don't practice this on overworld bosses, you practice this in abyss. Bennett necessitates more resets than jean/charlotte/whatever over the course of 3 chambers, meaning that those teams will likely be faster in real time. Speedrun timing is an entirely separate meta and doesn't really matter. Try comparing on 12-3-2 when your team is all at half hp and you can't get any fanfare because Bennett is being useless or you have to waste time doing extended rotations. I have tried both versions, and ttds charlotte tends to outperform bennett as the healer over an entire abyss run.
@@exnecross3141 Though not shown here, there rotations for the Bennett team variation that allow Bennett to heal everyone in the party during setup such that fanfare can keep building each rotation/chamber. Now whether he's actually better than Jean in those scenarios depends mostly on one's hu tao and Bennett investment which would determine whether it's worthwhile to put that much power into hu tao. Jean is just much simpler to use than Bennett so that's her advantage. For Charlotte, though I haven't tested her myself, I imagine she is worse than jean considering that her ability to buff hu tao will be much weaker than Bennett (due to hu tao's low base ATK, TTDS is a much weaker buff for her than Bennett) and the benefit of jean is that she increases DMG for Yelan and Furina via VV which heavily makes up for the lack of Hu Tao buffing as shown in the video.
For me there is no substantial difference running both team. I took a look at the Hu Tau build in this video and it has 226 CV not counting weapons on top of having over 140 EM and over 32k hp. Most people will not have such a godly Hu Tao. My Yelan and Furina does slightly more damage than his but my Hu Tau hits for below 100k per charge attack on Jean team. Second rotation onwards also feels somewhat worse with Bennett. You are also more vulnerable to getting on shot with a reaction since you have pyro aura while Jean swirls elemental aura away from you. If your Hu Tau is well built it makes more sense to focus more power into her.
An actual good argument. I came to a similar conclusion while testing. There are many factors that can determine which is better than which. I do believe that for high invested Hu Taos, the Bennett variation is better in terms of overall damage per rotation, but at the end of the day, it just comes down to personal preference.
personally i'd use xingqiu instead of yelan for his defensive capability. My hu tao's not that invested and i just hate seeing my character getting knocked around.

Also note that with Jean, I had everyone's HP low to make sure she maxes fanfare immediately. Also also, if you play close attention to fanfare indicators, you'll notice the Bennett team did not max fanfare at all.
