In this video i talk about the Tascam DR-10L and the Sanken COS-11D.
I believe this recorder is a must have for any videographer, cinematographer. The Tascam DR-10L really shines when trying to mic a groom, bride and an officiant at weddings.
I prefer to pair up this recorder with the Sanken COS-11D as i believe it captures better audio.

When trying out lavs for the Tascam DR-10L, the Sanken COS-11D and DPA 4063 worked. I tried the DPA 4060 and it didn't work.

Is that the Sanken with the Sennheiser connection or the one with the Sony connection?

It’s the sennheiser connection. Sony connection only works with sony products
would the tascam dr-10l fit inside of the sanken case? just curious.
Chris Ferrer not really because of the dividers inside the case of the Sanken
The dr10l delivers 2v with mic bias activated, the sanken needs 3 to 10v, I'm surprised it works

I just got the Sanken COS-11d. I plugged it in to the Tascam dr10-l and I’m getting nothing. Any ideas?
Did you activate mic bias in the dr10l options?

I don't really know, is your dr10l updated? Is your battery powerful enough? Can you try the sanken on another recorder?
@@meriredetripsandclicks3153 Yes and yes....So far I have tried 2 different Sanken COS-11D lavs. Both don't work on any of the 3 different recorders I have tried. They do work however if the plug is not pushed in all the way but it's very fragile maintaining the sound. I'm getting the feeling that the TRS 1/8th only works with sennhauser evolution wireless.

my testing the most I got out of this thing was 6 hours... 10 is a joke.
