    EXCELLENT video ‘interview’ format. The audience doesn’t need to listen to questions being asked or the host post-paraphrasing what the subject says. Bravo MojoGrip for producing such a clear, succinct, Enjoyable video, with no none of the annoying host interruptions that add no value.

    Ray Lawrence is an excellent representative for UL Power. His being part of the North American team and support for sales & installation, is one good reason to choose ULP.

    What's your opinion of this vs the lightweight Turbine engine you reviewed recently?

    Pondering a future home for this perhaps in a certain SlingTSI? 🤔 🧐

    A Velocity just went down in KTIX. Haven’t heard the reason, or how well pilot was trained in that aircraft.

    Does it run on premium unleaded pump gas?

    • @kvnkaveman
      @kvnkaveman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They claim that they will run on both LL avgas and UL premium. From the little info I've found of people who have these engines is that you are better off using unleaded gas, As leaded avgas builds up deposits on valves and lowers the overhaul time.

  • @nickmcnellis3937

    Nice looking engine but much less complex than an automobile engine with at least four times the cost. Just doesn't add up. Understand your are not mass producing like an auto manufacturer but what justifies the cost at nearly 50 grand?
    The answer is because you can and still be less expensive than a traditional LA engine manufacturer. Get this beauty down in the mid to low 30s and you will sell tons of them.

    40 thousand euros. People in aviation aren't good at math it seems. Maybe some sort of night course? :)
    We desperately need a small turbofan engine. It would be a revolution.

    UL, the US is a big market but why do you have such incompetent sales reps? Your engines are the best in what you find in todays market but this guys knows as much about engines like the guy at Best Buy...

    Why is it in WWII we could build and fly planes for the price of a used car. Now the motors alone are a decent down payment on a house. No wonder aviation is dying. Make an affordable engine

      A new house in 1944 cost 3450.00, A P-51 Mustang cost 50,000.00. so please tell me again how cheap aviation was in WWII compared to today.

    • @hud86
      @hud86 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kvnkaveman that's comparing apples to oranges. Today's homes cost $300k and an F-15 cost 90 million, so the jet cost 300 times more than a home today, where as the mustang only cost about 15 times more than a home

    • @hud86
      @hud86 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kvnkaveman civilian planes could be had for $1,500. Surplus bombers were selling for 1,700

    • @kvnkaveman
      @kvnkaveman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hud86 The point is aviation is expensive now and it was expensive then. Those surplus planes you speak of were delivered in boxes. It cost a lot of money to put them back together not to mention keeping them maintained and flying. Hence that is why such few still exist today. You can buy Cessna's and Pipers today that are in the price range of a used car, the maintenance such as an engine overhaul is still going to be expensive just as it was then. Hobby flying wasn't cheap then and it isn't cheap now, never has been.
