I have recently purchased a used set labeled as Lego 4277678, and the box is same as yours. There's another box in different print in the market, which is labeled as Lego G678, seems to have all the same pieces as your one. Do you have any idea about this? Thanks.
@@DemarcationMedia Thank you, I think you are right. Really good to have your input, it's so difficult to find information regarding this old chess set.
@@edmundduck Any of the Lego games are weird in general since they're counted more as 'Gear' than as 'Sets' which means there's all kinds of varying extra numbers and sometimes even names for the same thing
Me sees demarcation media upload a vid before 1 week Me: :) Also: you're not getting a lot of views for this vid because that people are studying for their exams i think. Also also: how many chess sets are there? Edit: can't wait for the 4k special :) ... Read more
@@DemarcationMedia what makes this chess sets expensive again?, it's usually a novelty item or a collector piece right, i mean if you got a deal with 80 bucks and you just wait until the price go up, you can resell it for 600+ right?
@@user-mk1gn4ek1z The $500+ one is a MASSIVE beast of a set and it's also castle themed which drives the price up. The normal size ones average between $100 and $200, depending on the theme
I have insane Nostalgia for Knight's Kingdom. Loved the more goofy ahh vibes of the early 2000s sets. Todays sets are better, but less fun.
I agree with that--design gets better but Lego isn't as creative anymore with their themes
I don’t get legos anymore but they amaze me with their ideas.

I'm not sure the other box is a different print, but rather a sleeve that fits over the outside of the box.

I remember wanting this so much back when I was obsessed with medieval legos. I just want to know how did you get your hands on this?
Patrolling Mercari. Happened across it in the midst of the other more pricey ones
@@DemarcationMedia yeah same for me found one for 118 not a bad deal. Most of these sell for hundreds so 80 is a really good deal.
I beat you my first try!!! I'll never forget that
Yea yea yea, laugh it up XD
6:14 nice helmets.
They're pretty cool!
What would of made this set really good would be if you could of built it
Yes and no. I'm sure people would have complained about how repetitive it was to build, but it would have been a nice touch anyway.
I would of been fine with building it but that’s my opinion
Awesome
Your board is set up wrong. King short castles to the right
No, it's correct. Queen always is placed on her own color. Then the King. Everyone else is pretty self explanatory
Didn’t know there was a lego chess 🤯
There's quite a handful of them actually.
I got one recently for 80$
That is a steal!
@@DemarcationMedia hella bro just had one the clips on the horses broken and a missing chestplate on the blue queen

It's an old set too so I expect the view count to stay low. There's somewhere around 8 to 10 Lego chess sets I believe
@@DemarcationMedia oh wow that's a lot, are you going to review them all?
@@user-mk1gn4ek1z I wish. Some of them cost upwards of $500 each these days
