i had him booked for the third time @ SHARKY'S BEACH BAR, PANAMA CITY BCH.,FLA., it would have been, 16 days later? i got that call from TONY HEATHERLY, and it broke my heart~!!(lost a myte fine man)*****
My band was fortunate enough to open for these guys back in the ‘90’s. It was funny to park my funky little VW bus next to their Prevost tour bus backstage. I also ran sound for them at a festival in the 2010’s. Doug was a blast to BS with.Seems like a great guy!
Doug Gray and Toy Caldwell, talk about a dynamic duo. And I don't want to discount the rest of the band in any way. The original line-up couldn't be topped by any other great southern rock band. I have to laugh...they were up and off the stage like someone had just phoned in a bomb threat.
God I miss this kinda Southern Rock What a great era to be young in.Thats what we did Ramble
I guess I was really fortunate to see this band intact the one time.
Remembering Toy Caldwell on this day of his passing in 1993. So long ago, yet seems like yesterday.
