  • Enhance your climate resilience and awareness with My Climate View. With the warmer temperatures and increased frequency of extreme heat events predicted across much of Australia, this Being Heatwaves Ready Webinar shows how you can use the latest digital tools to better understand the current climate data and future projections in your local area.
This webinar is presented by Sarah Clarry, Project Communications Manager at FarmLink Research. It outlines how you can use the My Climate View website - www.myclimateview.com.au - to get tailored insights into changing climate and explore climate trends by your location and commodity. The website presents agriculturally relevant historical and future climate information, the goal is to provide landholders with a strong awareness of future climate when making decisions for their enterprise.
My Climate View is a collaboration between Australia's national science agency CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology, and has been designed together with Australian farmers as part of the Climate Services for Agriculture program thanks to funding from the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.
This webinar series was produced in May 2024 by Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council with the support of our regional South East Landcare network. We’d like to thank all presenters for their contribution to the project, Local Landcare Coordinator Erin Brinkley, as well as Instant Andy video production house for capturing and creating the series.
This video was made possible through funding from the Landcare NSW People Led Prevention project. Landcare NSW’s People Led Prevention project empowers communities across regional NSW in developing disaster resilience and preparedness skills. The Disaster Risk Reduction Fund is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments.
The Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council would also like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands where we live and work, celebrating the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing cultures and connections to the lands and waters of NSW.
