I just bought a 2023 nissan rogue and since i bought it this issues has been a problem, dealer said it was due to bad weather, but now the weather is nice and it still fails, The sensor has been recalibrated and realigned by warranty, but its a safty hazard that with 1500 miles i cant even use cruise control. Nissan upsets me and i recommend with this experience people STAY AWAY from Nissan products…
I’m using Nissan, they are very good cars and keep one safe during collisions. Unfortunately, usually the dealerships have very inexperienced technicians. They can’t rightly diagnose a problem. My cousin car had alternator issue. Dealership was constantly changing sensors and doing diagnostic tests. A local mechanic when looked into the car. He quickly figured out that nothing is wrong with your car sensors just replace alternator. He doesn’t have any issue since then

Yes you can install it just follow my video,but keep in mind that's just installing a part,the sensor is electronic and not mechanical so it may need to be calibrated.
I was involved in a minor accident, someone hit from front. Bodyshop repaired the front bumper, replaced speed sensor and also computer but whenever I see malfuntion light, my SUV reduced speed and if I stop on red light, it hardly move, so I have to turn off and turn back the SUV on. Mechanic advised me to go to the Nissan dealer for replacing the sensor or Radar that is going to cost around $1000 but I have already spent $6K and not sure its going to solve the problem or not????

Same thing,it's either your front sensor like I showed or the one on the rear view mirror,make sure which one is showing and it's not the other side on your display,watch the video again if u have too.

Yup, happen to my 2020 Altima too. It will reset after a while but just annoying. I haven't got times to check mind to make sure level and wire is plugged in securely. Still too cold in the Midwest areas. Wors case, buy a new one and replace it. I know my car have been in a lite front accident, so it could be not reinstalled correctly or has not been recalibrated. Slight bump on the road something set it off then it will go away...etc..

You should put it on a scanner and see what the readings are,might just need a reset. How to reset,Hold the power button on the infotainment system down for a few seconds until it shuts off and you will see the Nissan logo come back then let go,also undo the neg side battery for a few minutes,see if those resolve it.
No,but you are at risk if someone or something runs out in front of you,you'll have to navigate the brakes yourself,lol. You'll be fine but it is a warning light and you will not know if you have any other problems as long as that is faulty.

I wouldn't what to tell you without diagnosis it myself,I haven't came across this warning yet,but I despise Nissan's CVT transmissions, that I do know.And you know what Nissan says that's just icing on the cake"In today's marketplace CVTs can be expected to provide reliable operation up to about 100,000 miles then you have to get them rebuilt or replaced and they are even used very expensive.

Hi Tim, i have a 2018 nissan rogue that was in a mild accident. the front right side is a little bashed in, (rear ended someone), but now the malfunction light comes on about a minute after i start the engine, and just stays on.. ive tried disconnecting the battery to reset, but problem persists.. I bought one of those "FIXD" obd2 scanners and it isnt detecting anything wrong with the vehichle... so do u think its definitely the front crash sensor, or is there something else i need to know? They usually don't show a code,did you watch my video at 0:20 It will walk you through if it's a sensor,try that first and it everything is working it could be something else.
If you got into an accident the I would replace the radar sensor, and have it calibrated by a shop? One of those autobody repair shop should be able to reset it. Most mechanic shop don't have them tool to reset the sensor stuff except autobody shop or glass repair shops. Give it a try.
Hi Tim. I have a 2020 Rogue and my front crash warning light is flashing. I purchased a new sensor and replaced it but then I got a "malfunction warning" for the front crash sensor. The part number of the old and new sensor match exactly. The seller says that the part has be be calibrated and assigned to the vehicle. My scan tool (may be outdated) does not show any codes for the forward crash warning sensor. What kind of scan tool did you need to see the error and is the "flashing light" the same as a steady on "malfunction light". The dealership wants $165 just to scan it for codes. You shouldn't have to calibrate it unless it was in a wreck,also make sure it isn't the other sensor on the rear view mirror,u should be able to check it on a scanner using the srs and abs function.
@@timzauto So the car was previously damaged but the FCW was working after the car was repaired. I was initially getting an intermittent FCW Malfunction error but then the FCW light started flashing and remains flashing. I bought the new module in an attempt to fix it...paid $200 for the sensor the dealership wanted $165 to scan it so I figured it was worth a shot. My scan tool gets an error when I attempt to connect to either the SRS or ABS modules...I guess I'm overdue for a scan tool upgrade. Thanks for your help!
I unclicked on those boxes for front and back brake. I want to permanently disable it because I'm not going to spend $2,500 (quoted by dealership for possible issue). If both boxes are blank is it disabled? I'm still getting the Warning - Malfunction light come on.
Does the car go into limp mode when this fails? I had the same warning come on this morning, and my Rogue would barely go over 10 miles an hour on the way home..
No that only occurs when something happens that can damage your engine or transmission,these are just safety features on your vehicle u would be just find without them.

Easy fixed but don't you have to get it calibrated after installing the new radar sensor or after the installation of the new sensor, it permanently fixed your issue? My Nissan 2020 Altima tend to go off sometimes and not obstruction in front of the radar. Thanks

You can find the front sensor I replaced online for around $130,there is however another sensor on the rear view mirror that can also be the cause of that malfunction,it is called front lane warning camera sensor module ,So be sure to get it diagnosis right,thanks for watching..

Just changed my sensor. Turn vehicle on and still lights up with warning and all those other lights. Im i missing somthing else. Just put new brakes too.
There is another sensor on the rear view mirror called front lane warning camera sensor module,that can also be the cause of this malfunction.Please have it tested and diagnosis properly.

You need to take it somewhere that can scan,calibrate,and fix it right the first time,go to a different dealer or a good import repair shop.

I think on the Maxima the sensor is on the passenger side front lower bumper near the headlight.

Un doing the boxes doesn't fix the error causing the Malfunction light,you will unfortunately have to get it repaired for the light to stay off.
If you don't mind me asking, how would you diagnose and find which sensor is defective?
With a scanner,it should have a code in the abs or air bag system.

No,but it wasn't in a collision,remember I put in the description that this malfunction can also be the sensor on the rear view mirror.

You will have to have a good scanner that will tell you, if you don't then the only way is to replace one.

With what tool can I calibrate the sensor and let the computer know?
A good scanner with the right software.And it only should need to be calibrated if it was in a wreck.

Just changed my sensor. Turn vehicle on and still lights up with warning and all those other lights. Im i missing somthing else. Just put new brakes too.
There is another sensor on the rear view mirror called front lane warning camera sensor module,that can also be the cause of this malfunction.Please have it tested and diagnosis properly.

Make sure at your rear view mirror your front lane warning camera sensor module isn't bad,and if it was in an accident you will have to calibrate it.

Hi I replaced mine and the light is still on .
Make sure you get it diagnosis,it can be the other front sensor as well or something else.
Yes I took it to Nissan and they told me that part needed to be replaced. So I found your video and did it myself . I was in an accident . Does it need to be be recalibrated.

yes,if you were in an accident it does.It will be different due to the front end damage and changing.
$1000 ICC sensor and $200 worth of ADAS calibration here. Guess he left that part out
