That is true, I almost hurt or potentially killed a 3 year old child running into the road from behind a car, my body reacts automatically, no harm done. But I was really upset with his parents.

From the title I thought you were going to ride the sweet singletrack at the top of Mandeville Canyon Road up to the ridge. I just discovered your channel. Love it! In the mid to late 2000s I rode all these dirt rides and all the singletracks in the Santa Monica Mountains on my CX bike. I did a lot of group rides with people on mountain bikes and we called it "mountain biking." I'm still riding that old rig with 32 or 33 mm tires and cantilever brakes. Supa fun!

as crazy as you are on a bike it was a very mature and considerate move to slow down when you saw the kids, they are indeed unpredictable and their sudden movements could risk a crash. stay safe and keep the panoramic videos going
