You’re the first person to open the lever make your guide lines and immediately close to blend it out ! That makes sense when you’re teaching ! You would be an amazing instructor ! Thanks ! I’m super new ! Like self teaching and you’re my favorite !
I've been cutting my own hair for about 7 years now and this technic help me finally see results. I have the confidence to start cutting other people hair.
Due to pandemic I am also a first timer, I’m a girl so I know nothing about fades, levels , fading, etc. but loved how specific and detail you were. The whole “open and close” lever thing was so confusing to me!! Thank you for clearing that up. I will be attempting to cut my 2 y/o old sons hair! Wish me luck
Oh also, what trimmer would you recommend? My son moves a lot! I tried cutting his hair ONCE but he moves a lot, I’m afraid of messing up his hair or simply cutting him
I recently started barber school so this video was very helpful to me. Had never picked up a pair of clippers until I started school. Tutorials like this are always good to help newbies develop their craft. Thanks. Subscribed.
The best way to explain a cut without so much this and that, a true barber knows the best way is hands on. You got my vote for president. Much respect!!!!!!!
Wow I found this channel by chance you brothers are holding the industry down at one point it was dying I am a licensed cosmetologist only because the state were I'm from merged everything into one so in order to get my license I had to graduate from a cosmetologist course anyway its back to the old way I'm 60 years old now I don't work in a shop anymore my son does I'm so proud of all of you and so happy to see my chosen profession has come back and actually been improving all of the time keep up the good GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I
To ALL beginner barbers. Please try to find tutorials that show the proper way to cut hair. I've been cutting hair almost 37 years and I want to commend the barbers that take their time out to give tutorials and get views. My number 1 pet peeve is when I see barbers teaching you guys to cut with the grain. If you notice, I don't care what video you watch, you will ALWAYS see spots in the haircuts. This is because of cutting with the grain. These barbers are teaching the fast money way of cutting. A. Figure out the length of the cut. B. Select proper guard to cut AGAINST the grain. C. Figure out the proper guard to "POLISH" WITH the grain. I promise you YOUNG barbers that it will be a cleaner, crispier, and most of all an EVEN cut. This will take a few minutes longer, but try them both and you decide.
Even if a person has waves, brother, that doesn't mean you cut with the grain. Normally, a person that has waves has been told that you must cut with the grain. Once again, my friend, that is a myth. If a person has waves, they will have waves, regardless of how the hair is cut or no matter how low it is cut. @@FederalYuter
I have watched five videos and this is the BEST taper tutorial I've seen!! I haven't cut my own hair in over 20 years, but this video will definitely help me not look crazy!!
Great video, you shared everything you were doing showing and telling the people watching in your video when you were open and closed and what guard you were using. Thanks. I am an up incoming female barber and blending has been my recent struggle but getting better. Thanks again for sharing
I remember when my mom use to cut my hair and not because she wanted to be a barber I had to go to school with a bowl cut lol my sons and nephews were kept tight
Bro thanks for the tutorial it makes it easier for me to do the step by step when I do my hair!!! I usually have a hard time following the steps and takes me about 2 hrs to get done good stuff!
Your video is detailed and easy to understand. I made my first haircut to my lil nephew and eveone said seems I've been cutting hair in the past. Thanks man. Please what actually is that white substance you added to the hair before shaving?
thank you. I used a .5 a 1 and left and right ear guard on my 6 year old. He has locs and I keep his sides low in a v but i like a tapered blend but not bald so I improvised with my guards. This was helpful and got me a pleasing outcome.
As far as cutting my own hair. The left side of my hair is thicker than the right side. With that being said if I use the same steps I did on the right then apply them to the left the fade dnt look identical on both sides. It seems like one side was cut lower than the other (if that makes since). Knowing that I now almost do the same steps on both sides but I do like a half size lower than I did on the thick side and they come out looking the same. Great video by the way 💯
I've looked over all of your videos and this is the one I was looking for. I use the 1/16 guard and was looking for how to remove the faint line on the top half of the cut blinding into the 1/16 closed on top. Great video, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Ur class n barbing section is easy and transparent...u take ur time to do more of the practical than the talking... showing ur viewers the exact thing u are doing....but I have a question, is it compulsory to use liquid to relax the hair before shaving?
Got so far nice 20-25 minute haircut I really needed that man thanks I'm trying to learn to cut hair right now man I appreciate your Channel Dog for real
You’re so dope for these videos!! I work in a salon clipper cuts scare the shit out me cause of blending but the way you explain gives me confidence on trying again. The salon offers classes but on a mannequin it doesn’t really help with practice on blending.
Truly god bless you honey I went to school and still couldn’t tinder stand this until my sons barber hung up on me super unprofessional but agin thank you now I can cut my kids hair with no issue

Hello 👋🏾 what channel would you recommend for beginner barbers that really impressed you?
But if you cut against the grain you take away the waves
Good Job Bruh!!
He has waves, you’ve been cutting for almost 4 decades and you don’t know that you cut waves with the grain? How are you a barber 😂
