      Thanks very much , the people we saw on the trail were amazing and we'll never forgot Pete the ex Soldier walking the full route. We saw him at Sahagun we have a great picture together. Thanks for watching the series , the next VLOG shows our route back to the boat across the northern coastline back to Bilboa and home. Best wishes Helen and Martin

    Fantastic video guys. I could hear the emotion in Helen’s voice and had to hold my own tears back. We love watching your videos as they give inspiration to others. We have always wanted to do the Camino de Santiago but like you thought it would be impossible in the motorhome but you have shown us that it’s possible to capture some of it and still enjoy being in the motorhome which we all share a love. Thanks again guys you really are great.

    Probably your best comment from your entire awesome tour ... thank you for taking us all along with you. It was never too crowded in your motor home!!

    We also watched “The Way” some years ago. What an inspiring film. It inspired us to one day walk the Camino. Watching your vlogs has really ignited that desire once more! We’re currently in northern Spain having been to Santiago de Compostela a few weeks ago. It was quite an emotional experience just to be there at the cathedral and watch the pilgrims arriving. Thanks for a fantastic vlog. We love your great work! Keep going!

    That was one of the most enjoyable, informative trips I have seen in a vlog. I have throroughly enjoyed this journey. Someday, I'd like to walk the Camino. Someday!! But I must ask the important question, "where are we off to next?" Italy sounds nice.
    Thank you for a really wonderful series of videos of your trip. I can only imagine the hard work that went into making each video. I very much appreciate the work.

      Thanks for kind comments , it is very good of you , we really appreciate your words. The Camino is amazing and I have put all our maps , references and information points including where we stayed here. www.helenandmartinsmotorhometreks.uk/blog/our-camino-story. If it's of any use to you your are welcome to use it Italy, is very nice we have already toured there quite a bit and don't rule out going about back, especially to the Dolomites. We did an Italian Cities tour in 2018 which was amazing, We'll probably return to Portugal in the Autumn just because of the climate at that time of year, but we are planning another special trip for 2023 which should be a little different to celebrate Martin's 60th and our 30th Wedding anniversary. It will be in the Van of course 😁.

    Enjoyed all of the vlogs - well done - as a sign off it would be good to know your highlight places to visit/ sights to see perhaps by region if someone was touring northern Spain or Portugal etc - OR the best campsites and aires you stayed at - always useful for those that might be planning a trip that isn’t necessarily the same trip as you - anyway I’ll look forward to the next tour!

    That has been a really enjoyable series documenting your journey. The photography and presentation was perfect. I was thinking when I watched these final stages of the route that I must ask the name of the film you referred to at the start of the journey and Martin saved me the bother! I will definitely watch the film now. A huge thank you to you both for talking the time to record and share this adventure. Following some inspiration from yourselves and The Frenchies, Mike and Kirsty, we’re off to Sandringham, West Runton, Kessingland and Polestead over the next couple of weeks. I’m really looking forward to it.

      Hi Sylvia, we're pretty sure you'll enjoy that trip , did we mention Lavenham from Polestead, the place used as Godrics Hollow in the Harry Potter franchise , a very nice place. Nice walk to the Pub from Polestead to. Give us a shout if we can help at all. Thanks for watching , best wishes Helen and Martin .

    Not only is this another superbly crafted Travel Vlog, but you add so much more; ‘Spirit & heart’ of the Camino experience to give us some sense of the Pilgrimage. Great sensitivity context - personally loved the Templar elements too. Definitely on our bucket list to do in similar fashion (when properly retired, 20 months to do!). Brilliant job - you could lead a MH Compostela Safari? Waiting with baited breath for next adventures.

      Loving the MH transition & the greater flexibility. Got a good almost month stretch across the channel Aug/Sep so looking forward to using Aires etc. with the bikes it really suits our touring preference which looks similar to yours. Presumably you’re now grounded in UK for a while on the 90 day restriction, hope you have a great summer. Quick Q, do you have Air Con on your van? I’m considering fitting.

    • @helenandmartinsTreks
      @helenandmartinsTreks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@petermccall6880 we’ve never gone down the air con route , we tend to avoid Europe in the summer especially now we have a dog , but I’d would consider it if we were going in August definitely. Glad you are enjoying your new van.

      Hi Rita-Ellen , thanks for taking time to watch the video. There were three parking places in this video, we stayed on a campsite in Santiago called Camping As Cancelas , we book this as we thought it would be busy. The second stop on the video was at Fisterra at a camper stop - (Area De Estacion Amento Auto Caravanas O Campo) and then at Camper stop at Muxia - Parking area at the side of Church Santuario Da VI R Xe Da Barca (free) . We use the Camper Contact App when we travel and found all three on there. Have a great day it’s a wonderful part of the world . Helen and Martin
