When a scale is drawn with the help of lines it is known as linear Scale. So this plain scale is an example of Linear scale. On my channel Time scale. comparative scales are also example of linear scale.

You can Divide it into 6 parts also but in that case you have to take the base line of 18 cm instead of 15 cm so that you can show 5kms distance in secondary part as per the question.
