The actress who played Ja-yoon (Kim Da-mi) and Nobleman (Choi Woo-shik) acted as lovers in Our Beloved Summer, which is a pretty good Kdrama. She also acted in Itaewon Class and he acted in Train to Busan (baseball player) and Parasite (the poor family's son/tutor).

@@jadiepedrola i know this was her breakthrough and it's the movie that put her on top so she already got a lead role for her first drama. What I meant about worse is that the popularity of this movie. Most people only watched this after seeing her in Itaewon Class. They played this movie in korea so much while and after Itaewon Class was showing.
they are enemy in here but the guy(Kim Wooshik) and the our girl (Kim Dami) will be a lover in the kdrama "Our Beloved Summer" it's a very beautiful kdrama. you should check it out.

The director had originally intended to create this movie as a trilogy. However, after the release of the first part, the American company that had agreed to invest reneged on their promise, causing financial difficulties. As a result, they modified the script and moved some of the material originally planned for the third installment to the second part. Please keep this in mind when watching the second installment.

@@ishikag8427 Since most of the key characters from the second installment are still alive, and their issues remain unresolved, it's reasonable to assume that there is still a story left for the third part to explore.The film director, who also wrote the screenplay mentioned in an interview that he couldn't showcase even 1/10th of what he wanted to. This implies that the original trilogy could potentially expand into a 10-part series. However, as of now, there is no information available about when the third installment will be released. The decision to make the movie doesn't solely depend on the director's desire but is subject to the will of the film studio that holds the rights, which currently belong to Warner. In another interview, he stated that the second movie had to surpass the break-even point for the third installment to be possible. Although it did technically reach that point, it was a close call, so whether the third part will actually happen remains uncertain. There is still no information about its release date.
yeah, there are plenty of stories could be expanded based on what showcase in the sequel, the witchs' mom origin story, their biological dad story, first gen and second gen supersoldier story, the shanghai lab rats story, that secret organisation split into two organisation story, and also what happen to Ja yun in between Witch 1 and Witch 2 story.

@@subarunatsuki4185 nah, as far as I know there ain't any manhwa webtoon or novel for reference, that's why we can't explore the untold story outside of the movie yet. But if there must be an inspiration for the movie, i would guess Carrie and X-men combined.

The cute guy in the train is Choi Wooshik. His the main character in the movie "Parasite" that won movie of the year. It's a korean movie you need to react to that too.

Watched this movie years ago and to this day it’s still one of my top fav Korean films it was so good and like the girl said I too I’m very good at predicting plots but this one got me like that was insane and I agree I don’t normally like fight scenes and stuff but I loved the ones here it was amazing. Kim da-mi had a fan in me since that day and I’ve watched everything she’s in since then and she never disappoints I love her she’s such an amazing actress.
Also if you guys are gonna watch part 2 keep in mind it’s not centered around her it’s a new cast and the script was terrible but some people enjoyed it but it’s up to you guys

Koreans are so good at every facet of making these shows - the acting, directing, story telling, character building - etc. They are on an entirely different level. And the actors are so professional - so different than americans.
She's not A biological weapon, she is THE biological weapon!! That is the problem she wasn't supposed to last 10 years without that serum, and because she is the best of the best everyone literally everyone wants her dead!! 😂 I love this movie I've watched it a thousand times!!
Same lol Jayoon is like Gojo Satoru(they even have the same powers!). The strongest in their world and everyone can't do anything about it

You both definitely saw their chemistry (the main lead and the other guy) because in 2021 we get their romance kdrama titled OUR BELOVED SUMMER. The story of this one is also interesting, refreshing, even the use of cinematography. I wish you both could react to it.

Finally the Witch part 1: the subversion is getting some recognition.
This Korean action flick blew my mind with the 3rd act when it first came out in 2018.
Next one to check is
Along with the Gods: the 2 worlds. You won't regret it. It give Marvel and DC a run for its money at 1/3 of Hollywood vfx budget.
I genuinely think this is one of the best action movies ever made I was also with my jaw on the floor with the action sequences.

I was so excited for the show but was big let down!
I just recently watched a 2023 Kim Da-mi film named 'Soulmate', a Korean remake of a Chinese film. Da-mi says her friends hate watching her on screen because they know her as her. Seeing her as other people freaks them out.
That just means she is a GREAT actor. That's probably the highest praise anybody could get.
There was a film critic who watched a certain movie. The film was halfway through before the critic even remembered that this was an already established actor he was watching, one that he already knew of and had seen plenty of their movies before. This particular movie was SO different from the usual thing the actor was in that it was almost incongruous. But their acting was so great that the critic had to remind himself exactly who he was watching.
He got to interview the actor during all the promotions for it and told them about that incident, which they took as the highest of praise.
I forget who the critic/ interviewer is (only saw the interview once). The actor is Emma Watson, the movie was 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower'. Admittedly I have not seen the movie myself yet (I do hope to at some point) but apparently Emma pulls off an American Accent just fine. And of course, playing a high school kid while she was at it (not to far out, just no magic to play with). :)
I really like this movie I like the plot twist when I first watch it. The second part is awesome too, cool psychic power but Dami only appear at the last part. Its good but I like the Part 1 more plus the hand to hand fighting here looks 🔥 After this I watch My Beloved Summer they are the main lead there. Dami and the cute guy you said

This movie needs more attention. I love this movie so much. Kim Dami (main actress) and Choi Woosik are amazing. The action was godly as well. Fun fact: Choi Woosik was baseball kid from Train to Busan and the son of the poor family from Parasite 😊 Check out Our Beloved Summer where these two act as ex lovers 😅😂 The actress who played the best friend is called Go Min Si. Also a stellar actress from Sweet Hone :)

The first film was a good work, but the second film was produced by a director who fell into the trap of self-replication.
The friend next to the female protagonist is the girlfriend of the male protagonist of Sweet Home.
I agree. The 2nd film wasn't as good in my opinion. I love the lead actress but by the end of the 2nd movie I was ready see someone else as the hero character. Perhaps a male lead/hero? Just one idea.

underrated in Western countries but not in Asia. It was pretty popular back then and it was star making role for Kim Da-Mi. She became big from this movie and then Itaewon Class drama.

I would highly recommend Itaewon class! Its also a journey. One of the leads there have a sociopath tendency. And that Kdrama is such a an amazing Kdrama. Its not the usual Revenge Kdrama bcs of its characters. You'll see how every character growth especially the Female Lead character. And also the journey of life of Main Male character. The characters are one of the reasons to watch because they not the usual "perfect" Leads character that the show usually portray. youll get annoyed by them at times but thats bcs they human. They're relatable.
Also Flower of evil too! It also involves mental illness there.
You two have to watch The Witch part 2: the other ones. Things get really wild and complex

This movie is severely underrated
One of the best movies out there. The female lead actress won best actress for this. You can't miss any part of this movie or you will miss something important. The second part is good too but more cgi.
I'm surprised you did not recognise Mr choi in the Moving TV series. 🙂. He more or less played the same role too, superhero hunter.
