    Simply the VERY best ever. I discovered him in the mid sixties (I was only a littlely till then), and even though I still loved all the great, late 60s and 70s rock bands I found a special place in my heart for Sammy and its never gone away all these years after he left us way too soon. I will always adore him. He has that very special indefinable thing. There are no words. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    A great talent. So versatile and entertaining. The old songs were so much better than you hear today. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett. Sadly all gone now. The entertainers danced, played piano, actors one and all. RIP dear souls. ❤

    Absolutely out of this world.
    Not even his pals Sinatra or Dean Martin could come close to him. He was so amasingly versatile.

    I just gained HUGE admiration for Sammy Davis Jr. as a performer. Lost a link to Connie Francis for this tune, ended up here, and he owned it with his impressionistic takes. I'm going to take a closer view, this man was an ENTERTAINER.

    Mr. Sammy Davis can do no wrong, his voice and showmanship is right up there of course, with his friends--------- Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

    He didn't do Jerry Lewis! Why'd he skip Jerry Lewis, who had a hit cover of this very song back in 1955?

      @@cjc4765 I wonder if Jolson could have done impressions of those artists and get so much mileage out of them.

    • @cjc4765
      @cjc4765 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielscuiry2847 impressions and what Jolson did are two different things. Jolson was a singer not an impressionists. Sammy could never be Jolson and vice versa. Apples and oranges. 🍊
      Did you see 100 years of laughter when Alan King took George Burns to see Sammy for the first time? Watch that video it’s on here and you’ll love what Burns told Alan King
