This is a hall of fame speech. Well deserved but should have been way sooner. I always loved hearing him commentate. I’ll never forget what he said in Kobe’s early days, “The key to the game is deception. Once Kobe learns that, he’ll be phenomenal.”

I never liked Doug as a coach because he seemed a little too high and too low. Not steady like Phil was. And I thought he was too hard on Scottie and Horace. But.. I still repsected him because you could tell how competitive he was and how he wanted to win. But as an announcer with all the pressure of winning off he was enjoyable to listen too and enlightening. And when the Bulls drafted Scottie and Horace in that memorable 87 draft he straight up compared Scottie to Magic and I said damn. And he also sang Horace's praises. And I got super excited. And he was right. And we know what followed. And I'll always be grateful for that.

*Why are you concerned with what black people think? Aren’t y’all 🧔🏼‍♂️👈🏿 the majority? Doug wasn’t winning anything! Point, Blink, PERIOD! Doug’s idea of coaching was “Give the ball to Michael 🐐 and get the @“) out of the way” ~ Phil was willing to apply Tex Winters Triangle offense and won 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 six titles because of it. Doug wasn’t willing to allow Tex’s offense. It’s just that simple. Jackson’s REAL REASON for being fired had nothing to do with his coaching but he made comments about the Alphabet community. Had Jackson not made those comments he would have led the Warriors dynasty instead of Kerr. Two different situations but you’re concerned about us.* 🤦🏾‍♂️
