Andrew’s message today is so important. Over the last year, his teachings have helped me see that being a workaholic and a people-pleaser is essentially a trust issue with God. I became a consultant 20 years ago because my husband's career required us to move to a new place every few years. Now, at 63, I find myself enslaved to my clients' timelines, which I've come to believe is the chief reason I get work. I've prioritized work over time spent in the Word, over my health, over vacations, and over companionable evenings out with my husband or friends. This isn't about money-my salary is very average. Don’t be like me. I am depending on God to reclaim the time, but so very sad that it’s an issue at all.
Hey Karen, i read your message and thought it is nice to know that im not the only one working on solutions to such problems. I thank Jesus and through AWM for providing teachings and answers.
Hi Karen, we're glad Andrew's teachings have brought revelation to you. We pray you'll enjoy your freedom in Christ, and redeem the time as you know and follow God's will for your life (Gal. 5:1, Eph. 5:16-17). You're blessed! - AWMI Team
Thanks for sharing I have had a very similar experience... I learned the root cause of our trust issues and why we people please and become work aholics In reality it's very simple.... We don't really know and don't really believe we have a heavenly Father that loves us For faith, or trust, works by love When you know how much u are loved u won't be striving to provide. You know u will be provided for because ur loved When you know you're loved by the Almighty, you won't care about how much others in this fallen world love you. Cause Gods love is so much better then there's. You won't even care or bother to people please. Cause being pleasing to your heavenly Father will be so much more important... And after seeing his love compared to others your not going to stop pleasing him to please people that will stop loving you and caring about u at the drop of a hat...
So much elaborated Sir, how to live in our lives : with utmost priority in our lives spending with WOG and balance of our other things : like our professional things , balancely in our lives . 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for my Daily Bread/Word today. I am spending a Lot of time watching Christian programs and services and I had wondered if I was doing ok You just answered me that listening to you and other pastors Is Not the same as my spending My Own time Actually reading and meditating on the Word of God myself. Thank you again. Really like your teaching But I need to set aside X amount of time to listen to my favorite teachers and pastors and the rest of the time with my nose in the Bible Thank You Jesus that You gave me a heart for reading. I will enjoy reading Even If I Do Not understand everything Holy Spirit will just have to sit with me and be at the ready to explain passages or words or contexts. Thank God for Holy Spirit.. Amen.
Hi Olivia, we're glad Andrew's teaching has pointed you to your own relationship with God! We know you'll be blessed as you follow the Lord's leading in discerning the use of your time. Blessings, - AWMI Team
Oh Olivia, how I can relate! I *love* listening and/or watching Andrew and other preachers and teachers, as much as possible! I fall asleep listening to sermons or audio Bible. *However*, a balance is necessary. Reading and studying the Word myself gives me such peace! May we press on towards the goal in Christ Jesus, amen!! 🙌🙏💜🌸🌺
Thank you so much, Pastor Andrew. There's no substitute for our personal relationship with God - not even watching messages. This is profound and blessed me.
I was a single mom with chronic son, 2 other boys, they kept going to church but I became a workaholic, I knew I shouldn't of done it, when I said, yes to working on Sun. I knew bad move, but being raised, job, college, I could of made the time but didn't. It's a waste, trusting God to handle most of it would of been better, I choked the Word, now I'm in Word 10hrs a day. Listen to teachings,, you can't go back, Priority God!!!!
You're right!! We can't go back!! Admittedly, I have chosen to work on Sundays to distract myself from my obligations at home. Just not wanting to deal with it. It's funny because I remember being the woman who thought the women who woke up an hour or so earlier in the mornings to pray and spend time with God, had much different lives than mine and didn't "get it" (I'm also a single mom). I learned they were right! God blesses us, He redeems the time! All times with Him are valuable and He *is* worthy!! I'm more capable after spending time with Him, and I enjoy it! How can we not? He's our Abba who desires our love and relationship! Hallelujah!!🙌🙌 Keep walking in the love, favor, and blessings from our Dad!! 🙌💜🌺🌸
Exceptions and excuses! (aka, "unbelief"). The rich young ruler wanted to know what he had to do to inherit eternal life (I.e. Gods promises), Jesus testing him offered religious duty... which was countered by the assertion of fulfilling the "legal" criteria; Jesus knowing the real problem, then pinpointed the issue which was the ingrained "exceptions and excuses" in this young man's life... comfort, convenience, position and control! Other examples of ineffective faith is seen where Jesus speaks of casting trees or mountains into the sea or camels passing through a needles eye... each one immediately amplifying the obvious exceptions and excuses that follow! Every believer has enough faith. But faith is made ineffective by exceptions and excuses!
I've sent money to Israel, and I tithe into AWM, so now my vehicle is broken down where I can't work so I can't tithe, I would say I'm being persecuted. I'm standing in faith!
Amen, I stand with you. May our Father guide you through His Word and still voice to a place of receiving and reaping. Maybe His blessing overtake you.
I find it very egosentric, how many Christians really believe that God Himself attend to they're every need everyday ..How self- absorbed... My guess is God Himself have a lot more importante things to attend to...even though we are Christians ever so much ..
You are the best❤❤
Great ❤
