Thank you for such a helpful and well put together video for new MacBook users. I received my MacBook Air today. I ordered a transparent case to protect it and that comes tomorrow. I will set up my MacBook tomorrow when the case is delivered. I used to be a Windows user, then to Tablets and finally to a Chromebook. This is my 5th Chromebook but now I'm interested in the MacBook and so no more Chromebooks for awhile. I think this device will be a good thing. I have to learn it like I had to learn Windows and the Chromebook. Once you start actually using the device then you will automatically pick up the usage of what's important to you. Thank you again for your time in filming this video!

My surface pro 5 a bit laggy now and as a teacher, I need something that is reliable. still havent decide yet. If only this macbook is a touch screen. easy for me to pin point when do online class for my student

I use an external keyboard because I use my macbook like a desktop computer at home. That’s why I placed it on a laptop stand like that. I still use the actual keyboard dw. 😊

@@kem4221 Yeah, it is fast. The battery is amazing but it all depends on what you do. I run a flight simulator using a joystick and it takes the whole battery in about 5h. But not bad for a pc that is not designed for gaming. Dis you get yours ?

Is there any pro and cons on buying a educational version compared to the regular mac other than price?
I’m not so sure but I think when you buy from the Apple store you can pay in installment, but when you but in educ store you need to pay in full.

Hey, one question! I am also planning to get that K380 keyboard for MacBook Air M1, is that comfortable? For full days of office workload? As compared to the Macs inbuilt keyboard, is it comparable and comfortable to type on? Thanks!
I can say the Mac keyboard is better, but the K380 is still good. I use the external keyboard all the time for my schoolworks.

Hi Cyrine! So far I’m enjoying my case 😊 I still cut a small part in the hinge part because I think it bumps with the screen but no scratches or dents 😊

Hi! Casetify is also a great brand for macbook cases. They ship worldwide, the only cons is it’s quite pricey.
Have you checked Amazon? That's where I bought my new MacBook Air and a clear case to protect it from wear and tear. I'm really hard on laptops. I dropped and cracked the screen on my Asus CX5 (2021) and then I cracked a piece on the bottom of my Asus CX5 (2023). So before I manage the MacBook, I'm going to fully protect it before I touch it. I've been watching any and all MacBook Air M1 2020 unboxing and setting up videos on TH-cam. I just ordered a raised lap stand for it and a case to garage it when I put it up. What's your take on leaving this device in Sleep Mode when not in use or is shutting it down better?

Did you just buy every thing other than an USB dock ? And as far as i know, MBA M1 cools passively. Blocking direct heat dissipation by adding a cover will only add upto the laptop's struggle.

Hi! Yes, I’m still using both the mouse and keyboard (Replaced the battery of the mouse already). I actually haven’t purchased any new accessories, but I’m planning to purchase a USB dock if I need to connect it to a desktop.

I feel like the hinge on my mabcook air m1 is tight. When kept idle for longer periods of time then i am not able to open the lid with one hand infact the keyboard part also lifts up. Do you also face same issue or feel like the hinger is tight ?
I also can’t open it with one hand. I think m1’s are built different.

hi! would definitely recommend the mouse and keyboard. no connectivity issues so far. I think the only issue is that when my bf used my mba, he told me that the mouse was quite laggy, but I when I used it I can’t see what he was talking about.

Nope mine doesn’t overheat at all. I once left it charging overnight because I forgot to remove it from the socket and when I touched the back part of it, it’s not hot at all.
