I bought this same hitch as a novelty, I had to buy some adapters and I used it, WOW!!! it worked from day 1 on all my implements, my toughest one was my box blade, it's easy now, I don't know how to be without a quick attach anymore. Great video.
The top hook on the quick hitch should go on the lower pin/bushing directly below the one you are using on the tiller. Then you don't have to remove the pins in the quick hitch each time you hook up and unhook it. Just back up, lift your hitch, and flip the levers. Most quick hitch implements have a setup similar to that so they can be used either way. Nice setup you have, thanks for posting.
I know and I tried it but the hook I have doesn't fit not enough clearance. You are right it would be simpler; but, still not much work. Thanks for the comments.
Tractor Supply has the Class 2 & 3 adapter sleeves I use on My Rear Quick Hitch. They end up costing about the same but I transfer them from My implements like Box Blade, Scraper Blade, 5 foot Tiller and the Brush Hog I have the L-2501 HST also
Yeah good point. I ease along nice and slow in areas I don't know, for that reason. Its got some light tack welds and would break if pressure was great enough to damage loader. Tested😁
I can't believe everyone doesn't have one. I switch out my tiller, mower and box blade pretty frequently and can't imagine having to get tools and stuff all going to do it. My neighbor has all the same stuff I have without the quick attach and would you believe that he asks me to do things for him because he can't be bothered to switch implements? The funny thing: He says he doesn't need one and likes it better his way.
I need to get a tractor tiller. I've been wanting one for 20 years. I can't decide if I want one for the big tractors or small tractors. Probably the big ones though. It's just a grand more.
I don't till very deep our ground is sand and top soil mix. So it doesn't take but about 8 inches. It's pretty soft almost fluffy when I get it done. The disc would leave it too clumpy for me. We do have a small amount of clay also its sporadic but if I go too deep it definitely mixes in. In this case clumps .some of my blueberry row edges get this way.
Remember with a quick hitch style hitch it pushes the tiller back another 4 inches or more. Without that I may have had to cut the pto shaft that came with the tiller.
Yeah never could figure out why and best I can tell is that there is a remote chance that it could break through the clamps or perhaps twist it. It was an old timer that told me so I didn't dare take a chansce. Ha!@@tractortotrail
Not clear as to why you came to not using it as designed? Why are you pulling pins? Is that big steel yoke not intended to come up from under and capture the top point? Not picking on you or saying your doing it wrong just wanting to understand? Im in my late 50's now have a good amount of implements and Im getting less interested in wrestling them on and off of my TC30 HST. Thanks for sharing your video.
No problem I understand and tried, didn't work with my set up. I couldn't get the hook low enough I could fab something up but its not much work with pins. It's the lower pins without a quick hitch that are a pain.
How has the tractor ben doing with the five foot tiller so far'''i red a lot also ''went to rual king to day 'make sure they had the one i wonted we have the 2501 as well
No when you get it at rural king the shaft they supply is made for that tiller and fit perfect with my quick hitch. The hitch sets it back a couple more inches than it would be, if it was straight hooked to 3 pt.
I could probably use most implements without the adapter but it makes for a tighter connection. I'll have to check out the rural king quick hitch. Thanks
I use a Ford 3000 diesel tractor with a 6 foot tiller it does a good job but I took a 2 plow and plowed my neighbor and my daughter and our gardens last fall so it will be a breeze to till Lord willing this year
I'm obsessed with the tiller usage and process on the grounds! Viewed, Liked, Shared, Subscribed!
Thanks

Thanks, I agree. I cringe thinking of all the times I struggled hooking up implements.
Who sells those adapters if I may ask? I am in the process of getting a tiller as well. Thanks

Good to know thanks. I ended up welding up an adapter for the plow.
Looks like you got your process down pat. Love the edger idea. Genius. I need to get me a tiller like that too. I’m Ronnie from SC. Nice to meet ya.
Thanks and same to you. Yes the edger works great in the blueberry rows. Just used it last week to keep the grass roots from working into the mulch.
@@tractortotrail I like that idea of it.
You want to be real careful with that blade on one side of your bucket, It is real easy to tweak your loader that way.
Yeah good point. I ease along nice and slow in areas I don't know, for that reason. Its got some light tack welds and would break if pressure was great enough to damage loader. Tested😁
Great Video. I have a
MF 17OOM, 48.8 Engine horsepower, 29.1 PTO horsepower. What USA made quick hitch would work on my tractor?
Thanks and not sure which is best for yours.... but I do know you'll be happy you got one when you do.
Get the Land Pride it works great!
Nice video. I'm going to have to invest in a quick hitch.
Thanks. I can't believe I struggled for so long changing implements. After you use one you'll wish you had done it sooner.

@@tractortotrail That depends on intelligence. Some people are slow, slow to change.
@@roflstomps324 How funny, he's lucky to have you for a neighbor
@@roflstomps324 On a bad day it can take me twenty minutes to switch implements. That's with the help of a 3 lb hammer.

I would go as big as your tractor will handle. Of course that depends on your garden or food plot size.
Wish I could find a video of this being done in orange clay soil.
Yeah lucky for me I have more sand mixed in.
I would like to seeing you actually hooking up the tiller
I should be hooking it up in a couple weeks I'll try to put something together
@@tractortotrail thanks
New video is up...

Great video thank you
Thanks... glad to hear someone enjoying it.
How deep will the tiller till? Are you using wood chips on parts of you garden? Will the tiller make a hard pan like a disk harrow?
I don't till very deep our ground is sand and top soil mix. So it doesn't take but about 8 inches. It's pretty soft almost fluffy when I get it done. The disc would leave it too clumpy for me. @@tractortotrail I would be concerned about a hard pan forming.
@@charlescoker7752 No, hasn't yet.
Did you have to shorten or buy a shorter PTO shaft to run the tiller? Or is that the stock shaft?
No I was able to use the one it came with.
@@tractortotrail Thanks!!
Remember with a quick hitch style hitch it pushes the tiller back another 4 inches or more. Without that I may have had to cut the pto shaft that came with the tiller.
I was taught that you shouldn't use a quick hitch with implements engaging the ground.
Theory makes sense; but hasn't given me any trouble. Stick with what you're used to and what works best for you.
Yeah never could figure out why and best I can tell is that there is a remote chance that it could break through the clamps or perhaps twist it. It was an old timer that told me so I didn't dare take a chansce. Ha!@@tractortotrail
Lol. That’s what it’s made for 🤔. I’d say whoever gave that advice is afraid of modern changes 😂
My tiller has a sticker rite on it that says quick hitch ready
no adapters needed with the speeco quick hitch
Thanks I'll check it out

Looks like he has good soil there
It's pretty good down to about 3 ft then there is some clay.
Nice video I have the same tractor and tiller. I just have the Ag tires.
Thanks
I got my QH at Rural King for $100. It doesn't need adapters.

Dealer here now wants 22k for just tractor and front loader..says it went up 10 percent...HST is 24k
Wow, don't think it changed much either. Guess I'll be happy with mine for a while.
@@tractortotrail How much was your setup?
Those are the tires that are more easy on your turf/grass right??
I paid a little over 18k for a tractor and loader, almost 4 years ago.
