It was such a chill game that I could play in short bursts while never getting tired of the experience. I like the addition of mounts in this as well as it seems there is more to explore and collect in the process
This is my most anticipated game this year. I loved the Trials of Mana remake from a few years ago and so am really looking forward to this one. I'll be playing it with the original Japanese dialog though as I don't care for the English dubbing.
Having just recently finished Trials and played the Visions demo, I'm loving the distinction between the two. At first, I was merely hoping they'd just do Trials again, that was a solid game. However, the demo showed me that they instead are aiming for more exploration VS Trials' combat heavy take. See, Trials is what I'd call a "video game ass video game" in all it's glory. Visions wants to be something else, which I respect. Visions focuses way more on the elemental vessels (which can also be used at points for traversal), to the point that class strikes were actually nerfed. In Trials, each party member had their own respective meter, while now, it's a shared resource that take WAY longer to charge; the caveat being that they seem to do way more damage and neatly collect all enemies in a cut scene attack, so no one evades hits. The only issues I had so far were nitpick worthy. Using the Pikuls is cumbersome. After playing Rebirth and seeing that as a point of comparison, I was kinda shocked to see that you couldn't just leap into combat from their backs and instead had to manually dismount, and then remount after battle. Rebirth made a huge quality of life addition by just letting you leap off of your chocobo/vehicle and then very quickly get back in afterwards. Aside from that, there was A LOT of voice lines getting interrupted. For example, a character has a line for opening a chest and another for getting an item. The second line would almost always cut off the first. I'm wondering if this is an old Sonic Adventure 2 dub issue that they haven't addressed. Lastly, there's a lot of field pop in and I did encounter a bug where I got stuck in combat mode after a battle finished. Whatever the case, I'm ready for this game. It's already hit the bar Trials set, so I have high hopes for Visions.
Whats crazy is that i just put 120 hours on trials of mana with no prior knowledge of the series. Then i found visions of mana coming out soon. Wow too hyped
I finally went through trials of mana a few months ago, although I found some personal issues with the game I really enjoyed it and I hope this one is just as good with some improvements. If they are going off trails of mana which is what it looks like I’m pretty excited for this.
I love this map design of jrpgs there nothing more annoying than a huge open world in which 30% is empty. I can’t wait for tor this game it looks really fun and well designed
I'm still sceptical, but it's worth playing for the visuals and all the beautiful monsters alone. I see a Minos Hedgehog in 3D, look at the cute critter...!
Looks good, after Granblue ReLink this will be added on my collection. I really hope the Devs will separate the ambient sounds from everything else as I’ve never seen this done before.
Buy it on Ps4 / Ps5 … you dont imagine how much better it looks than the play doh effeft the old hardware of the switch allows developers to display instead of the crisp and beautiful way on Ps5/Ps4 (I learned it the Hard way with secret of mana remake)
Legend was my intro, it was so unique with its world creation and exploration system that i just can't get into the other titles. I wish there was a system similar to that but I'm glad the mana series is doing well and strong!
@@dychostarryeah i love the artifact system and the calendar system i also love the decision of just giving 3 major storyline with couple of minor storyline
@@dychostarr what i love about legend is that devs actually put an effort of introducing different races not availble in mana series so legend feels more original compared to the other mana games that borrowed alot from final fantasy
It looks great my only complaint that I hope this game fixes is the difficulty because the Trials of Mana remake (compared to the original) was way too easy, like, insultingly easy. Even on the hardest difficulty, super-bosses were a complete joke, let alone the standard mobs/bosses. At the very least, they should make the A.I reaction time faster or respond quicker to getting attack and players spam dodging out of attacks.
Not gonna stop being salty about the lack of multiplayer though...Mana was almost defined by its multiplayer co-op. Heck I remember poor Legend of Mana being SLAMMED by reviewers for being "only 2 player" and not 3 player. The fact that we so easily throw away multiplayer co-op again and again and again is legitmately heart breaking. There is a serious co-op crisis going on in gaming this past generation with so many former co-op games abandoning it and no one caring because we all live such lonely lives in the modern day. Finding something as simple as a Gauntlet-esque game for Switch is near impossible. I am deeply glad that at least Trinity Trigger exists, but I won't deny that that game is also quite disappointing in its overly simplistic mechanics. This game looks AMAZING...but I am sad.
i was very dissapointed when online multiplayer wasnt incorporated into the remakes. The same thing is happening here. I really want to play this with my friends and yet no multiplayer… Thats the maulim-selling ooint for me…
