Hey everybody welcome back to the Channel! Today we will be riding onboard for my first ever endurance karting race. We are starting 5th out of 30 and this one heats up fast! Within just a few laps we find ourselves leading the race. I have to learn fast to try to hold on to a top ten result. The Tin Man is CalSpeeds 30 minute endurance event, its not for championship points, just for fun and seat time. I figured I needed at least some endurance experience before the Machismo 12 hour Endurance race in December!

That pit stop messed it up for everybody.
I did learn a few things in this endurance race though. If you stop an inch after the cone on a pit stop, it’s a penalty and if you don’t stop completely in the penalty lane, it’s another penalty. LOL. Won’t be doing that anymore.

Tin man is all about learning! You didnt slow me down at all you sped me up haha I drive faster with some pressure!

Great race! The big trick on the endurance races is knowing when to come in for the pit stop as that can entirely change your race!

We were having a great race up front and had no idea what happened until they stopped us. I was P3 until they stopped us and then when they resumed the race 11 others drivers cut off in pits while I was asked to hold. A bit frustrating.

I have an endurance race coming up this Saturday. It’s a three person team and 18 teams. I’m super excited. There is 300 dollars up for grabs too.

Hey! love the vids, just got into my first karting league monday. I qualified p5 dropped down to p10, went up to p3 and got spun out last lap finishing in p5. any tips on defensive driving and or know any more competitive leagues in florida!? i feel like p5 is pretty good for my first league race ever
Hey sorry I missed this comment! The best defense is to try to park your kart on the apex and open your line up. Don’t ever look behind only forward and stay on the racing line, I am not sure exactly which leagues run in Florida but I know you guys have a great karting scene
