A jaguar's bite force is the most powerful of all cats. Tigers, lions, leopards and cheetahs generally kill their prey by biting the underside of the neck, crushing the windpipe. The jaguar's bite applies so much PSI, they go for a piggyback kill position, snapping the spine, or crushing the skull and brain.

Fun Fact: At 8:17 the cobra bites the honey badger. The venom would only knock out the honey badger for a few hours instead of it dying from envenomation. This is due to molecular mutations that prevent the venom from entering the cells.

I worked at a zoo in the 80s. One of the keepers was prone to bullying the elephants he was in charge of. He bullied the wrong one (a wild caught) and the elephant crushed his skull. Fortunately, the elephant wasn't blamed for getting revenge.
Donkeys are wonderful at guarding other animals. They'll protect their charges against mountain lions, if they need to.

My favorite part of the whole thing is the capybara just not even reacting to the pelican trying to eat it.
The tiger that fell out of the tree did that thing where it was embarrassed but playing it off.

(5:16) I've seen that clip. The Buffalo herd had just killed that Mother Elephant's baby. She went insane (like any Mother) and the young one was all she could catch. (6:52) Grew up next to a swamp. It's amazing how well animals blend in. When you're 8 or 9 and on the way to hunt ducks, about an hour before sun up so everything is normal when ducks come in.

another Fun Fact: @2:20 Those would be Gibbons, they're part of the Hominidae family along with humans and other apes, so they aren't monkeys. We share 96% of the same DNA sequence with these little guys and they're like our 4th closest cousin Just behind Orangutans at 97%, Gorillas at 98%, and our closest relatives Chimpanzees and Bonobos at 99%.

Male elephants paticularly young male elephants can get super violent durring musk.

So, you like animals, live in London and have been doing movie reactions lately- perhaps you'd be down for An American Werewolf in London? It's really good, I promise 👍 Also contains what many people to this day consider the best werewolf transformation in film.

3:30 the jaguar has the most powerful bite bite force of all the big cats (1500 pounds per square inch). Their jaw power and teeth are designed to kill by biting and crushing/piercing the skull. they regularly do eat caiman like that one. 🙂

And isn’t it something, that violence is one of the most marked, profound characteristics of intelligent species?

Only the crocodile and alligator have stronger jaws and psi in bite force than a Jag. A pitbull is known for its jaw strength but its childs play compared to a Jags jaw strength.

I like domesticated cats but bigger ones 😬 now that's scary because they are bigger than a fully grown man & they are wild so if you try to befriend a big cat like wild most likely instead of being the big cats friend you will be it's next meal but house cats are way more easy to bond with especially when you adopted a young kitten & they will be a lot of coexisting with other animals when you adopted a small one.
