It is a completely restored 16th-century Castle, once owned by the local Marqués, converted into an exclusive Country Estate, keeping many of the original details of this historic property. I have seen so many castles which have been restored and they no longer look like castles on the inside. They look like any common modern day large house. Everytime I see one it makes me cringe. I am so happy to see that the person who restored this place made sure it still has the true castle look while adding the updates of plumbing and electricity. This is the the way a castle should be restored. So beautiful.

WOW!! I've looked at castles all around the world and this one is in a class by itself. Excellent restoration job, bringing back the shine to a real gem of a castle in a very authentic way. If I had the funds, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this amazing castle. Also, thank you Dominik & Patrick, for the wonderfully well done tour. I can see that the current owner made the right choice in representation for this Spanish treasure.

It was a restoration job which took over 10 years of careful planning and restoration 🙏☝️
Both legends; author Ernest Hemingway and Film director and actor Orson Welles (Citizen Kane) were both in love with Ronda. Their ashes rest in the city.

Welles's ashes are indeed in Ronda, but Hemingway was buried in Idaho.

This castle looks very strong the wall is very thick....thumbs up again.
No words... inside is done so nicely and modern. Bathrooms are so elegant and tastefully done.
They had a special carpenter who made all the custom beds, that amazed me the most :p

Wow that is really amazing , I mean the renovations to make a 16th century Fortress into a modernesque home alone must be staggering but the actual villa with the maginficent courtyards and gardens , pool , art house , not to mention 16 hectares of land with grapes and olives and woodlands and open space , truly magnificent , I luved it , and would luv to live in such a place , like a king or a duke or marques , fabulous.

What an amazing video. I really like that you always come back to a point of reference, so that you can get a true idea of the floorplan, and don't feel like you're getting lost. As others have mentioned, this would be a great boutique hotel. And, if any guest didn't pay their bill, you can throw them into your own jail cell. Patrick is a great videographer and Dominic does a wonderful job of expressing his passion. I can't believe you filmed the whole thing without your shoes on (as usual, haha).

I absolutely love this castle. I watch this tour several times each week. Every time, I am even more impressed. If I had the money, I'd buy this. $4.95 million Euros is cheap. I'd gladly pay it. I'd even up it to $20 million Euros if all the gorgeous old style furniture was included. It's worth every penny. I love the history of this place. The House of Alba owned several castles within the region, including this one. At one point, the Duke of Alba, who was appointed the regional governor by the king, ruled from this castle in the early 1400s.

It’s not called a family banner it’s called a family crest, love the video this is a truly magnificent property and the owners have done a great job on the restoration. The good thing about buying a property like this is it still gives you the opportunity to put your own stamp on it, in my head I have spent about 2 million just on landscaping lol. You can keep your modern houses this is a true piece of Spanish history, great job again you guys I look forward to your videos and even though this was an hour long I never once got bored 👍.

I would add some landscaping and turn that dungeon into a wine cellar. Of course there would have to be glass placed in the hole between the dungeon and the spa but everything else is pretty much perfect the way it is.

I couldn’t imagine having the wealth and power to construct this incredible structure. Whoever restored it, did a magnificent job. Can you imagine what a day in the life of someone who had lived here in its hay day?

wow beautiful fortress! restored, excellent finishes and very well cared for, I imagine a court of employees is needed to maintain it. A good point is that it has no neighbors!

One of my favourite thing about your channel is that my inner architect is always satisfied. You show all the rooms in a way that I can map them in my mind. I can figure out the layout and can easily navigate the place in my mind. Great job.

I'm sure there was a time when multiple families and multiple generations lived in the place. That's likely the only way to get sustainable use out of the place today too. It'll take a lot of hands to maintain the grounds.
