    Had a chance to see a set of these last week. Impressive system. 👍

    Another option for placing the wingtip strobes... Open the velcro on the leaky butt holes(LBH). Use some zip-ties to close the sleeve inside. Pop your strobes in and close the velcro back up.

    Glad you’re getting some winter flying in. Strobes look good. I looked up “self healing wireless synchronization” as noted in the product description. Cool stuff 😎

    Cool video, but I guess I was hoping to see the strobes in action. Mine just arrived, and with no instructions included, I guess we just turn them on? I thought we could turn them on/off in flight, but don’t see how that’d work.

    Looking forward to how the strobes do over time, I only have one from the original set of 3 that still work thank goodness it's the master. With out the master the rest don't work. Of the group of guys i fly with regularly we all seem to have parts & trash bins full of the first gen smoke strobes...
    Great flight, great vid, good luck with your purchase! And yes keep us informed with your experience with them.

      Yeah, I think the track record on gen 1 is good context. We will see how these hold up. Appreciate the note. - Ben

    Lookin good. Im also wishing for spring! Skyflar user here. Lights are well worth it for the safety and the less worry for those late sunset flights... Atom 80 is defintely a smooth little motor.

    very nice. i am searching for strobes as well...
    i saw you launch and land in zero wind. what are your trim settings? dudes at my local park say trims all out for full speed (in my last video i kinda crashed because i was way too fast and didnt even want to try stand that landing in case you wanna have a look). others say 50% and my paraglider manual say all the way in for slowest speed(25km/h).
    but then they are very close to the stall point of 23km/h. i am really confused. teachers here where i live know nothing and everybody have another opinion.

    • @ParamotorNC
      @ParamotorNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason that you would land trims out, is to land very fast which gives you more flare authority. This is great for somebody who is dialed in. Sometimes I do land trimmed out, and it feels great if you nail it. But 80% of the time, I takeoff and land in the slowest position. It works well for me given my wing, weighting, and nil wind conditions. I would probably trim out if there were 10 kn of wind, or if I were landing at the beach.

      @@ParamotorNC my dude. you literally might saved my life. thank you so much for that answer. so tomorrow i have my 3. flight.
      and trims all way in it is! my wing is 31m and the biggest i could buy last year. max weight is rated for 165kg for PPG. include my moster 185 and all gear i am around 170kg so its already on the faster side to fly that wing. and that means i dont need to worry about stall points now right? 🤗

    Don't know when you turned them on. Didnt see them till about 7.30 in.

    • @mickey1299
      @mickey1299 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah , i'm afraid i have to agree . I've been looking at strobes in general , over the last couple of years , to enhance visibility from a safety point of view , but frankly i seriously doubted they are little more than a gimmick . Unfortunately this video has proved exactly that .
      The honest truth is , even with the close up filming , the wing tip strobes were only just visible , with the helmet strobe basically invisible amongst the clutter behind the guys head . I'm afraid , from videos i've seen , very few people would actually see them let alone be looking for them . I suspect they would be on top of you , before they even saw you , and by then the strobes would be the least of their worries . And i'm afraid that even includes military pilots , who often have an even higher workload . An aircraft flying at 100mph , is covering a single mile , in something like one and a half minutes , some of the high performance stuff reduces that to seconds .
      I will concede closer to sunset they may well give a small advantage , but these lights are so low output , it would be easy for them to get lost in low level clutter , at dusk . The only time they may gain is with an aircraft on the same level , or lower than ones self . Of course it could be argued that's the point , but remember i said may , other factors become involved here .
      Hands up here , it's rare for me to be airborne late evening anyway . I fly a hang glider , and also being power rated , i use a Doodlebug power harness . Disassembly of this outfit , in the dark , is a sure way of losing something . I've done it , but didn't enjoy it .
      Nah in conclusion , this review was very good , but to be honest , i think i'll start looking in a different direction , strobes are definitely not the answer .

    Bought these strobe a week or so ago. They have not worked correctly yet. I have to play with the on and off switch to get it to turn on over half the time. After charging for 3 hours, I went for a 15 minute flight and when I landed, only two were still blinking. You have any suggestions or have you had issues as well?

    • @ParamotorNC
      @ParamotorNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yikes. I have had zero issues with these strobe. I thought they just releases an improved version recently.

    It says to tether them into the wing tips. Can you please upload a video showing how or upload a TikTok? Or did you just leave them in the corners freely?

    • @ParamotorNC

      I just left them in the corners freely. But that may have been a mistake because one of my strobes went missing and I don’t know when or how. 😳
