    Wow! I know this video is a year old or more, but I just bought this plugin on Apple Store for $4.99 on 1-6-24, and unless I missed it, no mention of subscription. Thanks.

    This is one of my go-to compressors. Red Rock Sound plugins are really outstanding

    Great review! And thanks for covering the little guys like RRS, who we'd otherwise never know about.

    Is it shit? I had to subscribe and like merely because of that!! The fact this was a very useful video and made me aware of a make of plugin I'd not heard of before was just a pleasant bonus! Thanks guys. Now looking forward to watching more great (and humorous) content!

    New to this channel and this is the first video I've watched - "Is it shit?" format way better than the Snake Oil guy reviews! I'm now a fan

    How you feel about red rock vs fab filter? Can I do just as good with red rock?

    • @StudioLife101
      @StudioLife101  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course…different interfaces but same results 👍

    Hm, just learnt RRS is a Russian company with payment sanctions...due to war and other problems. Can we get this plugin anyway?

    Between the Red Rock 609 and Arturia Diode 609, which one do you prefer?

    • @StudioLife101
      @StudioLife101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Arturia is most faithful to the original...Redrock is loads cheaper and still really good... Try both and see what you think. 👍

      @@michaelalexson8359 I have both but I prefer the Arturia especially on vocals

    I've seen that somme great mix engineers like using the 33609 on drum bus actually

    • @StudioLife101
      @StudioLife101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep... Lots do. Just not my choice.... Always prefer a 2500 or even an SSL bus comp. Drawmer 1978 is great on drum bus too.. 👍

    The example to „remix a song in 10 years“ is a bit far stretched.
    Yes, the subscription is gone, but long before that your whole system probably won’t run anyways. The OS, the DAW, all the plugins…
    There’s only one professional way: bounce tracks to audio after the mix is done, do Stems and you’re fine.

      I have to reload projects from 10 years ago often… most plugins from big companies work fine….hate to say it, but waves plugins from 2002 still load up and remember all settings…😂 When we get a new studio computer, we often mothball the old one ready to resurrect old projects when needed…

    good stuff but IMO you should do audio demos at the start them sum it up if its shite etc at the end...would have lied to hear it...

    • @StudioLife101
      @StudioLife101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, I think it's just too subjective to do audio demos...there's loads online and they all sound different depending on the source material...everyone should be trying demo versions for themselves. How many audio demos on TH-cam use loops or recordings that are already processed? Loads....just doesn't give a worthwhile idea of the plug ins capabilities. Just my opinion..👍 Thanks for watching.😎

    • @stevejhkhfda
      @stevejhkhfda 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@StudioLife101 your opinion is subjective, the audio demos people can hear themselves to make their own mind up would be more objective...There are so many plugins these days I only want to install a demo if they are a cut above, so a quick demo on some mix/drums is always welcome...plugin folder is crazy otherwise...anyways no biggie just a bit of feedback...
