Today we headed back to one of our favorite rockhounding spots, the Wisconsin Moonstone field in Marathon County Wisconsin. The crew at this 'pay to dig' site are top notch and very accommodating, they will make sure everyone leaves with some great moonstone! We have been back several times and love to promote what they are doing. It's a great trip for all ages, rockhounding Wisconsin moonstone will be something you'll never forget. This is such a rare mineral it can only be found at this spot in the entire United States. We hope you enjoy the video and be sure to subscribe, like and/or come on back next week for another great adventure.

You know its hot when the weather is referred to as Satan's taint!🤣🤣
You guys found some incredible material! It reminds me of the electric blue chiclids I had in my tank.
Basil was the show stopper!!😂
Haha it was so hot, and yeah that Basil 🌿 🔥🔥 I’m a big fan of this material, I just stabilized some pretty incredible slabs so they wouldn’t fracture on me, I can’t wait to cut into them 🙌
@@Operocks I'll be waiting to see it!🤜🏻🙌🏻
Very neat stones indeed. I hope to make the trip someday. Those blues flashing is crazy especially on the deep blue ones. Keep having fun and thanks for sharing 👍.

Interesting, do you Rockhound Marathon County WI often?
Very cool. Would be interested in seeing your polishing process. Thank you.
I will definitely have a video coming out polishing some of this stuff
Sweet chunk of Arfvedsonite!
That was my goal for this trip, just one nice defined piece
@@Operocks I’ll probly go back to classify for some zircons sometime…I got 1 good piece already but I want a couple little ones
@@PlanetaryLapidaryI’m 0-3 on zircons, I’m considering going back just to hunt Arfvedsonite and zircons 🤷♂️
@@Operocks yea that’s what I did my second trip
Private land with an admission fee? Charged by the pound? Both?
Admission includes 20lbs, everything over is an additional charge but 20lbs is a hard task to fill lol we have yet to do it
You should have enough to last your lifetime now lol…nice stuff🙂
Probably two lifetimes lol
