    You guys really are great ambassadors for traveling. You offer so much good sensible, logical advice. We're got three weeks before we head to the South Island NZ for three months & we're doing what we do before any big trips.
    We're planning our loading, looking at things we'll need & those we don't.
    The old saying.."if you fail to plan, your planning to fail ".
    Thanks guys. Love following you. ❤️

      Thank you so much Dave for your kind words! Wow 3 months to explore the South Island will be incredible!! We will get to travel NZ one day (we’ve been for work years ago) take care, happy planning and thank you again 🙏😊💙

    Thanks guys you really cover everything. We picked up our brand-new van on 21st December from Yatala (after 20 months wait) and just did 3 weeks in North Queensland and loved it. It was a massive trip but well worth it. We're planning our 4month trip starting in May down south we realise its winter but living in hot weather all the time we can't wait, got a sneaky little trip to Big Red Bash planned with our kids and their families for us this will be special as we live so far apart and we will both be 60 this year. Thanks again 💖💖💖

    A fabulous episode regarding a full range of advice . Thoroughly enjoy your You Tube Chanel with all you have to see and do . We are oldies ( I mean retired ) but have been part time caravanning for a very long time . We have done the big lap a few times , Cape York , Gibb RR , central Australia to name a few but totally agree with all that you are saying re travelling the road . After 2 1/2 weeks down on the south coast east of Esperance in February , we head across the Nullarbor to Melbourne to change our caravan over for our new build and then to wherever en route back to Perth . Well done , and look forward to your 2023 travels .

    Thanks Guy’s, as usual great presentation, I like your recommendation re recording the hand over , you are right there is a lot to take in.. Our new Caravan has been delayed once again, I was supposed to be ready for pick up in October, now pushed out to March 23, on the bright side maybe diesel fuel will have come down by then😅

    Thank you both for sharing your wisdom and good times.
    If you have young children (I have a 2 year old) did you test the waters with some shorter trips first to make sure your plans wouldn’t be ruined by tears?

    • @TheFeelGoodFamily
      @TheFeelGoodFamily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, glad you enjoyed the episode. Yes we did a lot of shorter trips before we set off, and even did 3 weeks in a hired Motorhome down to NSW and VIC. Thankfully Jasper has always loved being in the car 😅 Kids are so resilient and adaptable 👍

    • @JayWilFo
      @JayWilFo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheFeelGoodFamily Depends on the kid. Mine has never been a fan of being in the car. Think he gets motion sickness as used to regularly vomit even going to the shops. Might have to wait until he’s 3 and we have actual communication happening and can explain the adventure.
      Anyways, until my time comes I will live the lifestyle vicariously through yourselves as I have been the past six months 😅
      P.S. I know it’s been said before but whoever does the editing out of you both, deserves a Logie. Top notch production even back in season 1 👍🏻

    Great info, well done. Question re Starlink, does Starlink connect to telsta samsung or iphone for wifi calls? So when out of mobile range you can still make wifi only calls. Thanks for concidering this question.

    • @TheFeelGoodFamily
      @TheFeelGoodFamily  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Denise, you will need to check in store with the telco provider. We are Telstra and it works perfectly for us using wifi to make calls, video calls, FaceTime etc. amazing!! 😊

      Hi guys, we have a couple of episodes dedicated to this question and can be found in our YT playlist. I don’t mean this question in a bad way. But with no doors in your caravan how do you umm have private special parent time? … asking for a friend

    • @TheFeelGoodFamily
      @TheFeelGoodFamily  ปีที่แล้ว

      😅 we love that you have called it private special parent time - in our last van we had a concertina door…. In this one we have a curtain on the bunk… so timing is everything!! A favourite saying of ours in the caravan world is ‘windy night parents delight!’ 😂

    We are looking to travel next year and was looking at 24ft caravans, some sales people told us that we shouldnt buy that size because a lot of caravans will say you are too big, can you provide some advice on this?

    • @TheFeelGoodFamily
      @TheFeelGoodFamily  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi guys, exciting times ahead for you. We travelled full time in a 23ft van for the first few years, staying in van parks at least 60% of the time and in that period had an issue at 3 or 4 parks where we were too big. That said we also realised that losing a couple of feet in length can make a lot of positive difference to towing, overall weight, campgrounds etc. we now realise that you ‘need’ a lot less than you think and the less you have the easier life becomes 🙏 if you are travelling with a large family 24’ makes sense…. But maybe looking at 19’-21’ foot vans is worth considering 😅 our van is 21’ with twin bunks and can come with triple bunks 👍
