@Jeeses99 Not even just that, 9 times out of ten, Natsu Goku and Naruto don't get stronger when they're fired up. Metal Bat does. It's that fighting spirit that makes him as strong as he is.

@@shazzzz uhhh no..you remember when he fought Kabuto? His hair got all frizzy. Also when he was sparring with Saitama, and he threw that fake out punch, his hair was messed up then as well. Hair is never really affected by fire/energy blasts in anime.

Metal Bat's greatest strength is his greatest weakness: "he fights until he wins"... meaning after he wins (or stops fighting, like with Garou), his fighting spirit wears off, and he can easily die from his injuries like any of the other S-Class. So even in the crazy scenario where Metal Bat becomes strong enough to oneshot Boros, he'll instantly die from his immense injuries a minute or two after the fight's over. It's a one trick pony that could end up killing Metal Bat through his over reliance on it.
None None Maybe, but if he didn’t die from a wound when his fighting spirit was in play, then he likely wouldn’t die afterwards. If Metal Bats head was cut off, even if he was in his pumped up phase, he’s dead. So as long as he can put up with wounds that wouldn’t kill him instantly, he can live until then. Metal Bat has insane paint tolerance, I would say the best in the Anime/Manga besides ZM (if he even feels pain) He can put up with the wounds and broken bones before he goes to any ER, Hospital, or whatever. Just like what happened in the Anime/Manga, I’m sure normal humans would die from that amount of Pain, Blood loss, and Broken bones. Or at least would have had to recovered for a much longer time.

I love it when he say "I'm just pumped up." It's a nod to his pompadour or pomp hairstyle. Dudes with pomps always say "I'm pomped up" after fixing their hair. Real nice touch

If Metal Bat were really immortal then his fighting spirit and him never dying from as many injuries he takes and his fighting spirit, he would have really reached infinity and give a nice fight to Saitama
In that case Metal Bat would shine in a fighting game. You lower his health bar and he just gets back up for another powerful swing.
The more his health gets lower the more damage ur character will receive

I think when metal bat gets to 100% fighting spirit, he is gonna be like awakened garou where he can control his power anymore, and maybe become a monster? Or just lose his fighting spirit ability?

I feel heros that fought pre awaken garou seem to have some importance. When it comes to story telling, why would we see garou fight watchdog and metal bat? 2 random S heros. Idk maybe I'm thinking to much
He both learned from them
To show Garou's journey to becoming awakened garou. He fought many heroes and learned from every encounter to become the ultimate monster. It also introdues us to Metal Bat and Watchdogman who are both cool characters that will probably get more attention later

I think the implication is is that his power is similar to Saitama, basically he can grow infinitely strong sort of.
I think what it's implying is that metal bats power is the ability to keep growing stronger the more damage he takes and the longer a fight goes on, and until the fight is over he can keep fighting.
Basically he has an infinite endurance that's so long as his will is unbroken he can just keep fighting endlessly and will literally be brought back from death to continue to fight, however I'm thinking once the fight is over or if his will is broken he'll die on the spot but until the final blow is landed he will keep getting up even if he is relatively blown to bits
He is def one of my favorite characters in OPM although he has so small screentime. Hope One does him some justice

Well I mean the fighting spirit trope does sometimes involve full on resurrection so it’s probably not to far off, and metal bat probably has a lot more power then he showed against garou, because the only reason he past out was because he didn’t wanna fight anymore with his sister there.
I think it's his little sister that brings up the phenomenon of metal bats immortality and maybe she is like the "energy tank" for metal bat and maybe she is the reason metal bat never dies because he doesn't want to let his little sister down

Metal Bat probably got a zenkai boost from his fight with Garou. If he is implied to have been capable of 1-2 shorting Garou in his near death state, he likely rose to Dragon for that time. And if he can fight against Carnage Cabuto for 3 minutes without getting to that near death power boosted state then it's possible he can fight against Mid-High Dragons in said near death state. However he would be doing so at the risk of his own life.
All the heroes might as well be immortal, because I doubt One is ever gonna have the balls to kill one of them
Metal bat is amazing, damn this show is so good its stupid, and so much of it is just so simple to, I mean they essentially made a bunch of random ass heroes then gave them mega man boss names that almost certainly took minutes to create, and yet almost every single one of them is just awesome and great characters.

I think that he is not immortal but can keep fighting until he wins, and after he wins, if his injuries are too severe he might actually die.
Use him in the battle of Stalingrad.
Maybe Metal Bat has an ability to only temporarily remove his limiter after he takes enough damage but then afterwards he goes back to his still very strong S class natural strength levels.
We'll see how immortal he is against a Serious Punch , lel

his limit is not broken, but different. He can break his limit when he gets his fighting spirit and keep going. His physical abilities increase MASSIVLY, from being able to not do shit against garou to being so fast and strong to kill in in 1 HIT. Thats just insaine.

Lets put it like this, "fighting spirit" So long as he wants to beat someone, he will keep going... Even IF you beat him and you think hes done, if he WANTED to beat you it doesnt matter what you do or did, he WILL keep going
Im guessing he wont die as long as his body is realitivly intact. So if you decapitate him he will die but if you just break everything in his body he will kinda just keep going

And if he was immortal and he knew it, the vgs would have recognized that metal was in no serious danger (Like it did Zombie man)

I have a theory, i dont know if its in the manga or in this comment section but i think as long as Metal Bat's fighting and has some fighting spirit he couldnt die. But if he gets like assassinated and like dies after one blow, I think he might die. So I also have a situation for that to simplify it, So metal bat just walking around and gets sniped in the head. I think he wont be revive cause he doesnt have any fighting spirit since he doesnt expect that to happen. That's only a theory tho, An OPM THEORY >w< Thanks for reading

I'd say his recovery isn't a total immortality, as you suspected, but I doubt pure vaporization is needed. Something tells me Metal Bat has a much bigger weakness than that. As his Fighting Spirit is required to bounce back, naturally his getting pumped in a fight is a must. But what if he never got pumped to begin with? What if it was a surprise assassination? If he never sees it coming, he never has time to get all revved up. Perhaps this is the key to taking him out? Maybe, going further into speculation, would tranquilizing him first yield similar results? As if he can't muster the adrenaline, what's to bring on the second wind? This might give him a lot more depth than one gets just by seeing him fight.
Or just wait till he bleeds all the blood out of his body.

Elder Centipede with low-mid difficulty, I really doubt Kabuto can do much against Elder Centipede considering Bang and Bomb combined just destroyed one of his "shells".

honestly I feel like Metal Bat is too mad to die
lol the only thing that actually stopped him was his sisters slap... that actually knocked him out...his powers dont work on his little sis. cute detail added by One.
my theory is that Metal bat isn't really immortal, but that he has a kind of broken limiter: Saitama has completely broken his limiter and as such he can continue to grow infinitely, instead Metal bat's limiter might not be completely broken and as such he can temporarly go beyond his limits and scale infinitely if he needs to, but as soon as he stops fighting he just reverts back to bein a normal human. this would explain why once he finished fighting with Garou he lost conciousness from his sister's punch; maybe it wasn't the punch that got him K.O. but rather he got back to the limit of his abilities and suddenly became a normal human being that has recieved multiple fractures and has lost a lot of blood. He didn't loose conciousness before beacuse he had temporarly surpassed his limiter. The end resoult is that you either one shot him before he gets pumped up and his fighting spirit temporarly removes his limiter, or he starts to scale the longer he is in combat, and since his endurance increases as he keeps growing stronger he manages to keep on fighting even after recieving significant damage.
therefore when he stated that he would have done a better job in the real world he might hint at that: his fighting spirit would have kicked in as soon as he recieved a serious hit from Kabuto (which is practically at the very start), allowing him to eventually outmatch Kabuto and survive through his increased endurance
