Bought a replacement mirror from A1 Auto and changed it out on the passenger side using this video. Excellent, clear instructions and mirror fit/operates perfectly. The only thing I did differently is NOT take off the foam sound panel. It’s not necessary since the mirror power cord is placed so high on the door. THANK YOU for making this repair possible in my at-home garage!
Really appreciate the time you took to make this instructional video. I followed it point by point and successfully installed a new passenger side mirror.
Just installed these side mirrors on my 2008 Tahoe LT. Total time was less than 1.5 hours for both sides. My dealership wanted over $1000 to change these out! So far they are working perfectly. Thank You A1 for providing the very helpful video and reasonably priced aftermarket part. TK
This video, and the part from 1A Auto, are both FANTASTIC! I replaced the right passenger folding mirror on my 2009 Chevy Tahoe LTZ in less than 30 minutes. Even though this video is for a Suburban, the 2009 Tahoe door was EXACTLY the same. I am not a mechanic; it could not have been easier. The new electronic folding mirror arrived on time (4 days) and works perfectly. Make sure you order the correct mirror (driver/passenger, heated, light on bottom, blind zone, etc.). The dealer quoted $700 - my cost was $185 for the mirror and $0 for cheap labor.

Thanks for the awesome video, very detailed and easy to follow. Dealer quoted over $500 to replace driver side mirror that no longer folded in on my 2008 Suburban. Other GM Parts online stores the part cost ~$350. I ordered the part from your website for $120 and followed your video step by step, took less than an hour and works great. Thanks again!
Just did this job using this video. I'm not even close to a mechanic, only somewhat mechanically inclined. This video made it so easy. You guys are awesome. Thank you for your video.
thank you so much for sending the correct part(which was a drivers side mirror for2011 suburban) and also the video showing how to replace, excellent job
This is exactly what I needed! My LTZ passenger mirror no longer retracts in and I was looking for something like this to walk me through the door panel logistics. Thanks!

I ordered these mirrors from y’all. Just got them in yesterday. Thank y’all so much for the instruction videos for things like this. It saves us “DIY” guys a boat load of money. 👍 I’m actually looking forward to replacing them tomorrow.
Very useful. My truck differs slightly, but this video definitely helped me get the job done. My truck has a handle over the buttons that needs to be removed first. Plastic pry tool to remove the cover and 2 more 10mm bolts underneath.
Saw this done in another video where you don't have to completely remove the door panel, just as long as you have enough room to clip the wires off. Then just replace the mirror and feed the wires back. No need to remove the cable to the door handle or the entire panel.
Thanks for the video. It is way easier than I thought it was going to be. I'm no mechanic, but I think I'm just bright enough to handle this myself LOL.
Excellent Detailed & Complete Video! I really appreciate the quality of your videos and I use them often. Another tip to add: Instead of painter's tape, I use a small piece of a paper towel. It provides a great friction hold on the bolt and falls free after installation easily. 🙂
It sure would have made things easier if GM would have put the harness plug right where the mirror bolts to the door behind the foam piece!!! Great video though! Definitely a help!!!
Greetings Marcus my thoughts exactly if I had the time and inclination I would have made an extension cable and made a disconnect behind the triangle piece. Don’t know if there is enough room to make it. But wouldn’t it surprise the next peep who had to chance the mirror.! OH BLESS YOU PREVIOUS OWNER 🍺☕️🥤🍮🍭🍰🧁🍦🍨, I replaced the passenger side mirror on my 2009 Suburban and did not remove the door cable I just supported the door and R/R the mirror.

My 2009 Suburban has Turn Signal Lights and this is very similar the only difference might be a different plug.TWAS PLUG AND PLAY for me. Sometimes you have to cycle the mirrors in/OUT to get them synchronized after installation.
Can I possibly get you guys to do a video on how to change the rear quarter panel (the whole thing) on 07-09 Suburban? Some people call it outer body panel and some quarter panel even though it is 1 big piece from the top of the vehicle, around the window and to the wheel well. Thanks
+LeeAndre Coltrane Set the mirror control switch to the center position. Press the power fold switch rearward to cycle them in and out 4 times. When you hear an audible pop then the power folding mirrors are synchronized. 1aauto.com
Hi, I ordered and installed this mirror on my 2007 Tahoe. Everything is working great, except that the power to my door switches stays on after turning my vehicle off causing my battery to drain. If anyone can offer any help so that I can fix this issue it would be greatly appreciated!
+Rodin Ramos Thanks for watching! No, it will be a different process on a Traverse. Here is a link to our website that has two videos for your application! www.1aauto.com/mirror/i/1amre02308?f=627435&y=2009
Why on earth would they design it this way. Why not make it user friendly simply by making the wire on the mirror short and having the bulk of the wire set in place and a connection to connect the wires up at the top so i Dont have to take the entire door apart. This is so annoying

Does it also have the on mirror turning signal? How is now 1 year later?

Perfect. Thank you. I just replaced my drivers mirror after someone knocked it off. It was an easy job because of your walk thru.

Great advice
I purchased mirrors for my avalanche from you guys. Power folding but my driver side doesn’t fold all the way. It’s halfway only. Any suggestions?

Can you replace the arm rest individually?
Is there an easier way to tighten one that's loose?? Do I really have to disassemble my entire door??
What if I installed Turn Signal Mirrors instead? My 2007 Suburban is the LT trim but I’m not sure if it’s plug and play or not?
My 2009 Suburban has Turn Signal Lights and this is very similar the only difference might be a different plug.TWAS PLUG AND PLAY for me. Sometimes you have to cycle the mirrors in/OUT to get them synchronized after installation.

These instructions were great but how do you calibrate the mirror to fold in?
+LeeAndre Coltrane Set the mirror control switch to the center position. Press the power fold switch rearward to cycle them in and out 4 times. When you hear an audible pop then the power folding mirrors are synchronized. 1aauto.com
Thanks worked like a charm.

Look up how to do a manual reset of your power windows. That might fix your problem.
Where can I find that part at 0:41 seconds
just bought a mirror from 1A replaced it and to my luck that part broke off 😳🥺
+Adriizz Galvan We do not offer the trim piece for the mirror. We do apologize for that.

+Lyndell O The installation process should be the same for the Escalade as well.
