    What is left of the original Club Med fares. A little further down is the best place to watch the sunset on Moorea.
    Used to be a great spot called the Sunset Bar just outside of Club Med. Awesome location.

    What are the best snorkeling beaches??!! Headed there tomorrow!!!!

    • @MikeandLauraTravel
      @MikeandLauraTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Three of these beaches were my favorite.This is just my opinion really but Tamae beach is very accessable and has some great reefs!
      Tipaniers beach is where we went and saw sharks and stingray. The people that work on the beach have great suggestions for whatever it is you want to see. They are very helpful! Renting a kayak is like $7 for a couple of hours.
      The secret beach we showed is hit or miss with the water level and depends on if the current is strong that day or not but the reefs there are less visited and have A LOT of fish. I've definitely seen black tip reef sharks there.
      Hope this helps. You can reach any of these beaches by motor vehicle. Walking will be a different story depending on where you are at.

    I was in Mo’orea in 1968. Where is “Paula’s White Beach?” Do you know? Back then, there was only one beach. Zero tourists.
    Do you know of this? Thx!

      Wow! We would have loved it even more during that time! Mo'orea is an amazing destination, but unfortunately we didn't even hear of such a beach. Where was it? Secondarily most beaches will be owned by resorts within the next few years for certain... "The times they are a changin'"

    How are the COVID restrictions? I was suppose to travel there in April, 2021 but now my trip has been rescheduled for November, 2021.

    • @MikeandLauraTravel
      @MikeandLauraTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Holly! Sorry that trip was rescheduled so far down the line. That will actually be a great time to be there for the Humpback whale watching though! ( I believe )
      The Covid restrictions there are pretty standard. Other than the 9 PM curfew, it is just like the U.S. . You will need your mask to enter buildings and up until you sit down at a restaurant to eat. Some shops have different hours or are closed so just keep that in mind as well. Hope this helps!

      We were there a couple of months before that, in October and November, however I'm sure the weather is comparable then as well. Rain would come most afternoons, but never squashed more than a few of our days completely. Hope this helps! Safe travels friend!

We'll be there this fall so it's coming up soon and it's awesome watching your different beach locations...so helpful as we plan our first trip there! Didn't realize it was topless everywhere?
