Jahmane, It's a thrill to watch you and that beautiful voice of yours grow into such a talented, successful, loving young man. When I was a teenager any time I had a new boyfriend my dad (who was my main caretaker) never asked me any questions about the young men I dated. Not once. The only thing my dad ever said about all that was to "...watch how he treats his mother.." as he was brought up to believe that how a young man treats his mother is more than likely the same way he'll treat his wife. Taking into consideration the fact that my dad is 100% 'Old School' Italian and believe me ~ these 'Old School' Italian dads are no joke. In the same way, EVERYBODY who's seen you on the Xfactor has clearly seen how much you love and respect your mother and it is truly admirable.
You said at your audition that you've ALWAYS wanted to be a singer. The fact is that you ARE a singer and you've always been a singer. A voice like yours is clearly a God given gift meaning you were born to be a singer (with and/or without the Xfactor.) The Xfactor gave you a platform to 'shop your wares' so to speak, and to act as somewhat of a launcher ~ to get you out there and into the eyes of the public. Although you feel that they've exploited you and the others is kind of a double~edged sword because you have to ask yourself where would you be today without the Xfactor? It's a situation where one hand washes the other. My father always told me practically every day of my life that you've got to learn to take the good with the bad. For instance, talk about a double edged sword ~ at one time I was married to a man that was very handsome and charming. He also was the biggest cheater I've ever known. Together we had two perfect baby boys however, they came too soon and we lost both of them. On another occasion I became quite ill with constant fevers and swollen glands. I ended up with a butcher of a Dr. who was going to mame me for the rest of my life by doin an operation going through my neck to reach my submandibular gland and remove whatever it was that was creating the illness. It would have left me with my tongue hanging out and a speech impediment. FOREVER. But unbeknownst to me, my mother-in-law was on the Board of Directors for a famous cancer hospital in Duarte, CA (The City of Hope) that never charged anything as it survived on nothing but donations. The night before this operation with the evil Dr we were at my mother-in-law's for dinner at 7PM ~ 12 hours prior to when this operation was to take place. The look on my mother-in-law's face was one of complete horror and she demanded I cancel this operation immediately. I was in the City of Hope within hours where they went down my throat rather than through it. It was a calcium deposit at the very beginning of the tube leading to the submandibular gland. You see, if I never had married him I would never had seen or held my two baby boys nor would I had been directed by my mother-in-law
to cancel the operation by that butcher of a Doctor who had all intentions to mame me for the rest of my life with my tongue hanging out and a speech impediment. That's what I meant by a double~edged sword and as my father had said for most of my life that I must learn to take the good with the bad. I wish you the very best, Jahmene😁♥️😁
