You deserve a big 'thank you' for this wonderful guidance video. Its really important for the students completing their bachelor's sooner or later to have a basic knowledge regarding the general pay scales varying with different set ups. Students usually have disappointments when it comes to the income of the profession that we all agree should be raised to whatever it is in present. But every single Physiotherapist disappointed with the salary should definitely consider the ..... key skills to excel in the field of Physiotherapy:
    1) A+ theoratical knowledge (sometimes a professional with avg marks can have the best theoratical knowledge and sometimes even a gold medalist doesn'thave a good theoretical knowledge): talking about knowledge i mean the conceptual part should be crystal clear to you in every aspect.
    2) Skills(practical approach)/management of the condition: some professional with an avg. marks records are best with their skills which is 70% of the times is enough to deal with the conditions with mild-moderate severity.
    3) Patient handling: Its very important. Many professional lack this skill.
    4) Communion skills: If in any case you dont wanna consider any of the point that is important for a proffesional. Still, you cannot agree more on how important it is for a professional to have a good communication skills. If its still in the head of any professional that why do we have to convince a patient, we are doctors and not bussinessmen/women. I'd like to explain this in a simple manner.........as a child we always have had excuse to not study or to do something which we were told not to do. So just to make as not do things which were bad for us, our parents use to convince us in some of the ways that we do things in a right manner that what we say Communication skills. That how do you convince others to do good to themselves and also how important physiotherapy is for your physical, mental and social well being. And in country like INDIA which is a developing country and in maximum of the population the bread earner of the family is working day and night for his/her family. How do you expect him to give you even 1000 bucks per session if you have no professional skills, no good communication skills, no conceptual knowledge, no practical knowledge. All they do is just few basic exercises which is available anywhere on the social media and a TENS/Ultrasound, without even knowing the physiology. So, with all these holes do not expect anyone to shut their brains and eyes and pay you even 1000 bucks for a sessions.
Now if we talk about that we are doctors and not bussiness person. I think everyone of us would agree that how do we decide to approach any doctor for our parensts or may be for ourselves. Its always based on the feedback of other patients and then what you personally experience. And first thing that we are convinced with is the counselling by that doctor. The communication skills he/she has...no body would want to visit a doctor who doesn't know how to talk to you, how to make you underatand the conditions, or may be someone who doesnt underatand you physical/mental/social/financial situations. So i think its pretty clear that all of us literally all of us whether its doctor-patient, parents-children, siblings, spouse, professors-students everyone needs good communication skills to convince the other person and make your rapport.
Coming to the point what we as a professional are doing is telling patients to perform exercises thrice a day and themselves not doing any workout session. Why? Students, professionals in this field do not even know how does it feel when you make patient do core activation exercises. So when a professional is not doing what he preaches to his patients. How do you expect your patient to do it and opt exercises over any other passive treatment.
Another point is us as a professional in the field who couldn't or may be didn't ever studied much and still have this obsession of adding Dr. To thier names have included so much fancy terms and treatment which are not included in the field of Physiotherapy just to attract people and make good money out of those. So its really important for all of us to think where we are taking this professional to and how are we going to make this sustain for improve in the future.
And i think many professional who have sticked to their professional, principles have been doing great in this field and i hope they will be able to guide our future professionals to take this field in the right direction.
You must always remember how struggling it was for our freedom fighters and how inspirational their contribution is for us and thw freedom and democracy we enjoy today. Same way the medical professional is really really old and now it has its own reputation. But Physiotherapy is still a growing field and every one of us must constribute well, in a right direction to make our future generation enjoy much success and good reputation of the profession 'PHYSIOTHERAPY'.

Thanks dear for your kind feedback and emphasis on these key attributes that every physio ‘MUST’ possess in order to reach the next level from whatever zone they are currently in.
The positive attribute is indeed commendable and every physio should have this understanding so that we can collectively grow and make this profession evolve further.
Every physio who wishes to improve actually need to understand the reason of their current circumstances and aim to get better by enhancing each of these aforementioned skills.
      Good luck!👍🏻

Nowdays many govt hospitals offering salary from 30k -35k per month to freshers. AIIMS is offering around 60k. Yes we are underpaid but let's hope for the best because now we have NCAHP toh hm iss profession me cheezein ache hone ka soch skte hain. Aur most imp salary khud pe bhi decide krti hai aap ki knowledge aap ki skills etc. Maine kch physios aise bhi dekhe hain jo shyd monthly 50k bhi earn nhi kr pa rhe aur kch aise bhi dekhe hain jo montly 1-1.5lac or more bhi earn kr rhe it's totally depends upon you. Kya jo MBBS krte hain usme har ek insaan ye sure kr skta hai ki vo monthly lacs me earn kr hi lega ? I think "No" kyu ki agr aap ke pass MBBS m bhi skills knowledge nhi hai na toh aap vha bhi earn nhi kr paoge. Bht se mbbs dr bhi ese hai jo sirf naam ki clinic khol k baithe hain. Aur hospitals ya dusre ki clinic pe depend rehna hi kyu hai ? As a physio aap ke pass is time bht si opportunities available hai bs mehnat ki jruart hai and then ofcs you will earn a good amount.

    I'm a 12th pass student..
I'm very confused. Should i opt for physiotherapy or not.. as the salary in real is soo low..
And if not this then what will be better to opt for?

Hi dear, thanks for the query. Well, if you like the course then forget about the salary. I’m saying that because if you are good in your field then you can earn as much as you would like to. And physiotherapy offers really good salaries to the ones who study and work well.
