Physiotherapy is no longer a paramedic course ...there was a bill filed (NCAHP bill) in 2020 and in 2021 the bill got passed ..and since then physiotherapy comes under a professional medical course..

Physiotherapy(BPT) some realities
1)The vast majority of physiotherapists are unemployed or in low paying jobs and many have sought other employment for livelihood.
2)There are over 5060 physiotherapists passed out in South India alone. The number of physiotherapists required in a 200-bed hospital is just one. Those who have studied in previous years are remains here unemployed, then how many hospitals will be needed to get them jobs here.
3) It is a fact that the job opportunities abroad are decreasing drastically every year. Migrant physiotherapist , in UK, US Canada are working in petrol pumps, supermarkets and hotels. Only natives of respective countries only getting jobs in Gulf countries
4)Many hospitals now converting their physiotherapy department to Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR)HOD will be physiatrist (MBBS DPMR )role of a physiotherapist in this department is just a helper
5)Since there is no regulatory authority(council) for physiotherapy in India somany unautherised practices (quakery)going on in this field This also reduces job opertunities
6)Now a days new threat also there... Bvok physiotherapy that is common in normal arts collage only 3 years, course. Hospitals appoint these people with less salary
7)In big hospitals physiotherapy is under physiatrist when it comes to small hospital it is under nursing suprend. It is duty of physiotherapist to pull physio machine trolley to bed side of each patient in wards for treatment their condition is bad than ward boys
8)Running own clinic need huge investment no patients approach physiotherapist directly. Reference from medical doctors is a must usualy they give pain killers to patient or ask commission for each reference. Majority of clinics closed already or in loss
9)"Physiotherapists are called as doctors "" these are only just canvasing words of agents during admision. In practical sence none of the hospitals, gov bodies allow this
10)Going for MPT (post graduation)not makes changes there is no propotionate grouth in income after doing that. Main aim of mpt holders are to become professor in bpt collages but collages appoint physiatrist (MD physiatry)as professors & principal in collages
11)If a person join BPT who are the benificiaries. Career guidance people who took admission will get commission. Collage authorities will get donation fees fine etc in huge amount After struggling 4 & half years. Private hospitals will appoint him as a trainee (slave)with out salary and charge him thousands for experience cirtificate after some years this physiotherapist will quit physiotherapy field for livelihood

Madam... BPT have to study medicines in details.. Have to study surgery in details... You're wrong if you say BPT doesn't study medicine and surgery... Most students fail in pharmacology... We have to study neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, etc... These are the basis of Physiotherapy.. without knowing about surgery how would you treat neuro and orthopedic issues which involve numerous surgery... Fee of BPT is in average 4 lakh per year.. Full course costs around 18 to 20 lakh...

There are other phisotheraphy institute like NILD KOLKATA.. SV NITAR CUTTACK, AND NIPMED IN CHHENAI . These college are run by govt of India .
And mam for this year the entrance exam already took place and all the admission are over . I have written all this over here just to give information to future neet aspirant .

3. Cardiopulmonary
4. Neurology not neuropedics
5. Oncology
6. Community rehab
7. Electrophysiology
8. Obs and gynae
9. Paeds
10. Geriatrics
11. Musculoskeletal ( newly launched )
Now she has even explained the meaning of paramedical course very wrong !
Paramedical proffesions are those where a person has to provide clinical services to a patient under the supervision of a doctor
Physiotherapists are independent and promary healthcare proffesion and recent NCAHP bill has clearly regarded it as one the medical proffesion.
At least being a Msc zoology faculty she needs to be herself aware first .
Ma'am you would've guide us regarding the exams for BPT students to get into govt college also for govt jobs. It will be very helpful. Like proper guide to when to start prepration and books for govt job or govt college exams.
You have to score 500+ in NEET for govt BPT in Maharashtra.
Mam why you are misguided students that Neet is not required?
Neet score is compulsory to admit for BOTH course. 2nd one is private coleges fees is 2.5 lacs per semester

You don't even need neet for bpt you can get direct admission with you're 12th board marks

Also, we study both pharmacology and surgery (both as subject and clinical posting in surgical units and theatres)

Obvio i didn't get mbbs" i needed to fix my self somewhere!
I am not the guy who was desperately into mbbs + i had enough enlightenment to shift whereever i wanted.
Before picking this course i was scared but i was sure! am good student and curious to learn .
Currently i am in 2nd year!
Syllabus is similar to mbbs except content related to dissection so it was complex but i managed to score good and more than that! I literally understood each and every topic!
I am her student so i can tell you!
Please don't feel disheartened if something didn't go your way! It's fine to take some time and think what i really want!
Don't give up on your love if it's just about 2-3 years.
Everywhere there is light! You need a fine equation to see it through.
