It's more difficult to sing without vibrato because you have to make sure it is super clean, no hint of crack whatsoever. While with vibrato, the slightest crack could be hidden in the vibrato. Only few singers are able to hit and sustain their high notes without vibrato. Then,she added vibrato almost at the end and increased the space! The emotion is not radiating though, it was superficial. I only felt and understand her in the beginning.
