One of my pet peeves is people on social media using the catch phrase "ahead of their time" without fully understanding what it actually means. However, YOU are correct! Rev. Ike was truly ahead of his time.

I like how he answers every question forthrightly. No hesitation. No pondering where you can see he's trying to think of an "acceptable" answer. He is what he is and is in no way in cover up mode or in any way ashamed. It makes one feel that he really is on "the up and up".

This man was a powerful teacher. But people at his time put him down because he was taking the chains of his community. But his community loves the chains on them.
His message is POWERFUL and deeply sourced. He is well read and the reason he can answer his detractors with ease is precisely because he has worked through their criticisms assiduously. He was just one of many who preached or now preach this positive thinking/living message, but he was among the best.

As much as people say that he was a shyster, pimp, hustler, etc., he has a very calm demeanor. It's like he never gets angry, or shows it. He seems to be the epitome of cool.
Rev Ike use to also pick some of his church members up in his limos, fed hungry people, clothed people, gave generously to charities and many other good deeds so is was"nt all about just him.
I came up in the Baptist church ⛪ and they ask as A Member to give 10% of your ANNUAL EARNINGS to the ORGANIZATION. Now I'm Spiritual and on my personal journey thru what is called LIFE.So Just LIVIN MY BEST LIFE 🎉without being charged to Worship.👌👌
First and best motivational speaker ever. He actually has some points, if your strong enough to be on your own and not need to pay him. He can open your eyes to some game and tips to help be a success
I find it interesting that the people with money are against people without money having money. I also find it interesting that the motivational speakers of today use Rev. Ike’s teachings rephrased. I finally find it interesting that people of the Caucasian persuasion flocked to his seminars.

Interesting. I'm a Muslim but growing up I heard sentiment of this man being everything but good & his name evoked a laugh. Up until days ago & I'm soon to be 52 but until two days prior I never saw this man in a favorable light. He may be other than good but at this point I'd have to stretch to find bad about him.
This message is very much on point and coincides to degree with The Teachings of The Nation of Islam. Although The Honorable Elijah Muhammad absolutely didn't like his Ministers passing the collection plate more than once and it was a give what you can, even if a dime. That's all he had to give around time of the depression when he first accepted Islam. He's making sense in this interview.
