The V30 is so underrated. It's crazy that it achieves such great battery life being that its only 7.3mm THIN and being feather light to boot!!! Oh yeah it has an awesome headphone jack. The V30 does not get the credit it deserves. Same as the V20 before it.

Tom Lademann how does it not have good resolution? It's a 2k AMOLED display! You can change the resolution settings all the way down to 720p maybe the one you used was set to 720p? I've never heard anyone complain about resolution on any 2k display on a cell phone ever! How could you when a display has an over kill of over 500ppi
I agree with this. The only reason why I went with the S9+ was due to the camera. My friend got his note 8 over the V30 because of the screen.The V30 is an amazing phone, great battery life, lots of power, great design. The front facing camera is terrible and the back camera stabilization + auto focus cannot compare to the S8, Note 8, and S9 series of phones. That's just my 2 cents though.

1:10 -samsung note 8,s9,s9+ and iphone X volume was muted which was never turn on till the end of the video. 1:07 -samsung galaxy s8 music was paused and its never been resumed(watch timer mobile-22:30 to 1:01:25) 1:41 -pixel 2 XL has 76% battery left,But he mentioned 74% only 2:30 -Samsung note 8 has 44% battery only left,But he mentioned 48% Play the video in 1440p and we can see the mistakes...
Atleast mention the name of devices while your doing this test cox all devices looks similar and when you upgrade Oreo 8.0 manually to note 8 and other devices, it won't give you that much backup than the OTA updates. Ita obvious that via ODIN you revoke your Warrenty as the performance of the device too. So better wait for the official release of the update.

I think the real winner here is Oneplus 5T, eventhough having 3300 mah battery, it still went till 8 hrs 21 minutes and that too for half a price from most of the phones. This clearly shows when the software is properly optimized with hardware with a decent mah, you will get best battery life.
Still another unbelievable win by the underrated flagship device of 2017! Even with a weaker SOC and outdated specs compared to the S9/S9+, it still is unrivaled in the battery drain test. Good Job LG! Although the updates and marketing are bad as hell. 😰
Did you even watch finish the video mate? the lg v30 won against all these top flagships of 2017/2018. It's impressive given that it has a worse display than galaxies.
BTICronox are you blind? @ 0:35 and 2:00 . you can clearly see the v30 is nowhere near as bright as any of the others. i personally don't even consider v30 the winner in this test for this reason.

Michael Bowles you have to take these battery tests with a grain of salt , im not putting this gentlemans efforts in showing us a very interesting test down , he has done a good job , but there are many , many settings and software on these phones that effect performance and battery life , and imo there is no way of knowing if they are all set up exactly the same . i would put money on it if you had 5 different testers set them up and do the test with the identical phones(not these particular ones ) the results would vary . in day to day life , even saying yes to an app permission could then have some software or hardware being monitored or just and extra draw on the cpu which can have a surprising impost on the devices power resources .

It also depends how they were charged. The other day my phone got down very low and I charged it to full. It hasn't lasted as long as it did on the previous charge which was done from about 10%. Because he has been testing the S9's he might have just topped them up, which means they wouldn't last as long. It's difficult to know. But, I don't know if the new Exynos will be much more efficient though, as they went with larger cores, hence the higher benchmarks scores.

Usman Tariq had my v30 for a month now. Best phone ive ever had, especially battery wise. My last was the 5100mah lenovo p2 but the v30 tops up charge so quick it trumps the p2 imo. Tip.. To get the most out of the v30s battery, try not to charge it overnight. Its fast charge is so quick you dont really need an overnight charge anyways, and i only lose like 1% during 7hrs of sleep
