    The washer on the screw side not washer & nut? Is that right?

      All of the washers will need to be on the bolt side in this installation.

    Don't like the idea of removing that small trim piece installing front mud flap. Seems like that trim would be there for a purpose. I was going to put a set on my 2018 Ford F150. Not so sure now.

      The small trim piece that is removed is to protect the body from rock chips. The new mud flaps are going to do more than just protect the small area as before.

    That lock thing at the top is stainless steel right?? Never ever put stainless against aluminum

      It's also dipped or covered in rubber. The steel doesn't make contact with the aluminum.

    The rear not installed properly last nut not connected to mud guard

      Good catch!! He removes the wrong plastic factory connector too far back towards the bumper. That doesn't nee to be removed. The bolt and nut should go through the bottom piece of the mud flap right next to the wheel well.

    why no protective film used?

      That wouldn't a bad idea but if the mud flaps are never going to come off then I supposed it wouldn't be absolutely necessary. A lot of trucks are coming with a factory clear plastic protector for rock chips.
