Glad you are back. I live in a slot car dessert and except for my own track have never seen another 1/32 scale track “in the wild”. I bought what was available from a local hobby store that had given up on slot cars. For $300 they “gave” me two complete Ninco sets, an SCX set and the red suitcase filled with Ninco track. I haven’t had any problems with it, magnet, no magnet all the cars run great . Was surprised that the track and cars operated so well after sitting in boxes for 20-25 years. Revo Slot cars are a personal favorite, also love running the Scalextric NASCARS with magnets. Those NASCARS with long , wide bodies are perfect for the Ninco track and the R1 turns provide the chance to bump your opponent off the track. I don’t need any more track but if you have no takers will pay for shipping. BTW the old Ninco Moslers from one of those old sets were (are) great performers with new tires, gears and motor. But, as you expressed, I prefer that the cars run right out of the box without any fiddling.

It great to have you both back! I am looking forward to the future release of the NSR Lola T280/290. No Carrera NASCAR;s coming to our house; I'm more interested for the both the NSR Salzburg Porsche 917K's and the two ThunderSlot coming in December. Thank for another enjoyable show!

No NASCARs: are you really American?

@@talkingutterslot Yes, but I lived some of my life on your side of the pond. I grew up in a VW, Porsche, BMW family, with a XK120. Daytona for me is the 24 Hours of Daytona and races that you turn left and right. Two of my favorite movies are Steve McQueen's Le Mans and James Gardner's Grand Prix. My wife is the NASCAR fan in the household.

Maybe the rusty Fly Porsche runs just as well as any Fly without the magnet?

Unlike one recently announced and ubiquitously promoted rerun, I would here lead the cheer 'welcome back guys' for 'Season 2'.
I guess if Blockbuster had still been in business then I would now be looking forward to buying the 'Boxed Set' on DVD come next autumn but, sadly, we all seem to have lost all physical contact with one anonther and instead find ourselves out on DEFCON 3 against the threat of some K9's saws for jaws suddenly finding themselves sunken into our backside. Tough economic times right now. Is Elon Musk this Grinch who stole Christmas? He's certainly trying to 'Nick' it but now he seems to be struggling in the business of stealing our ICEs and all those to whom they have granted comfort and support. Perhaps the perfect irony and the best antidote to all this is the observation that this 54 year old appears more interested in the business of promoting 34 count business document fraud felons with his mosh pit pogos (sand andimpressive given the man's age) and this whilst in combination with his $1m Penn State electoral bribes (sorry 'lottery giveaways') meaning there's seemingly no investment from him in terms of motorsport and hence not so much as some whisper of some 'all electric' Tesla slot car.
Time for some Spanish sun? As an FYI the word 'Carrera' is just the Spanish for 'race' - hence its ubiquity. Otherwise, I did glance parse the 'burnt out' Fly Porsche 911s but, and with this opportunity to now take a closer look, I am concerned as to whether this is some cri de coeur (sorry that's French) whilst as some metaphor for the current state of the brand? Why buy one? Well, out of sheer morbid curiosity in order to discover whether overnight thieves have stolen the motor and the guide blade or whether these 'Blow Torch Fly' folks have somehow seen to adding a touch of realism in this department too? All in all the Catalans through the good offices of folks like Salvador Dali and Antoni Gaudi always did find favour with 'Surrealism' and so I'm next now awaiting a slot version of 'Dali's Car' (where it rains inside) but surely no - that would just be Bat**** crazy! Meanwhile, this particular 'slot car' is seemingly a safe investment as 'Exhibit A' over at Trading Standards. When is a slot car not a slot car? When some local authority Trading Standards deparment prosecutes to inform that it ain't so.

I'm sure things won't be nearly as bad as some fear, unlike the burnt out 911. (Good point about the pointlessness of fitting a guide and motor. Almost tempted to buy one to find out. Almost.)
