Why the hell didn’t we get this ad? There’s so much this game could’ve been if they posted ads like this. It would have resonated well with young marines.

My guess is this game is just not politically correct enough and has waaay too many swearings, homophobia, racism...even name of the current president of Tajikistan is mentioned in the manual. As much as it adds to realism, these days, such niche stuff doesn't sell. You either sell to literally everyone from kids to adults or to nobody to make profit. And good profit pays good development teams.
