Hello Jenny, regarding your Copiapoas. There are no such weather conditions like rainy and hot days in Chile but there is an Phenomenon called Camanchaca Fog near the Coast in the early morning and late evenenig. You may try to mimic this by misting the Copiapoas in the morning and in the evening, and only watering them when climate changes to an average of below 78F per day. Thank you for your videos! Cudds to Cookie!!!
@@wolfenschwein1460 I'll definitely give Cookie a big ol cuddle for you! It's so hard to do the misting here. Thank you for the note on the camanchaca. I can't manage two mistings a day but I did try misting instead of watering when I watered the other cactus. The humidity is so low that the moisture almost dries up almost immediately, but I'm sure it's better than nothing. I think it's going to take a while to figure out care here, or maybe in the end I'll find out that Copiapoa are just not meant to be grown here. We'll see...

It was soo cold here in Florida the past couple of days too! Not that 60 degrees is really considered cold, but with it being consistently 90 degrees and higher, 60 degrees felt soooo cold. 🥶I actually had to bring out my cardigan! The boobie cactus with the spine n clay pot is perfect ☺
Same here! It suddenly dropped 20 degrees and I finally wore long sleeves and pants for the first time in 5 months. Then it warmed back up today for a bit but it won't last. Did you all stay cold or also warm up again? P.S. I'm so glad you like the pot and boobie combo. I'm hoping it brings in a few bucks for the club ☺️
Looks so awesome! I'm wondering if you would be able to make a video showing a soil mixture? Or the process of making soil for potted cacti? Thank you!
@@colty__ I'm so glad you like this combo! I have a video I made back when this TH-cam channel was still very new on my adult soil mix: th-cam.com/video/Ebh2cEFDGNc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=et9yx6LUJYQ47Kbk it's very simple: 3 parts pumice + 1 part cactus soil. This is a super gritty mix I use for my more rot prone plants. For plants that tend to like more organics, I end up using scrap soil (like in this video) in which it's very inexact and has no formula lol.
