- The grandaddy of all airborne fortress, in its full glory. And escorted by that badass in the Draken. Funfact: in the Japanese ACZ trailer, both Espadas fly Drakens. I'd say it's a shame they changed it, but it's not as if they're lacking flavor as is.
Also, I like that ground section, better than First Flight's IMO. The Gepard and Humvee textures are too low for the 4x rendering resolution to help them much, though.

"A World With No Boundaries" is the literal name of the terrorist group in control of the XB-0 Hresvelgr. Hence "prevent the terrorist group" is what he conveys.
Man those Espada guys sure have some unwarrented confidence.

It always bothers me, the base was unprepared for the attack (debriefing said "surprise attack"), even though XB-0 itself is really huge... huge, lumbering, and obvious, and should've been detected miles away, by the time XB-0 arrived at the base, all Ustio's aircrafts should already been in the skies waiting. Or intercepting.
Wouldn't it give of a radar signal like a massive battleship, this is the earliest game so massive flying fortress's like it hadn't been seen before so it was probably written off as a glitch or annomaly
They *did* saw the enormous hangar where XB-0 was built in the previous missions, so they should expect something huge flying.

I always thought it was a forward airbase that was near belkan lines.
if you think about it,USTIO is a neigbor of sapin, they wouldn't expect a flying fortress and all the data they gather from radar would be assumed as anomaly.
I saw pixy's plane during that cutscene after the crew said the rest is up to you

TugaAvenger The Morgan was probably still being built during all of this and it was completed before the Avalon mission
This mission is set in December 25th, Avalon is just a week later in New Year's Eve. Considering the Morgan was an integral part of AWWNB's plans, being the backup launch control for V2, leaving it for the final moment, without knowing when the Allied Forces would attack, sounds reckless at best. It WAS already built (by the South Belka Munitions Factory), so it'd be a matter of setup.

There was a certain beauty to the way this game told its story. None of the other AC games have matched it.

after AC7 Arsenal bird and AC6 Aigaion, i thought this was big.
This mission took me a coupme of times to beat one of those enemy planes I think is called the Raphael or something like that,man that plane was doing some crazy turns.

one of my favorite missions in ACZ. really fun to attack the air ship and dogfight the espada squadron.
If only it had more escort fighters, four feels a bit short, even though they're all great pilots.
@@TugaAvenger oh yeah. but honestly espada would be the squadron i have the most trouble with if i let them fly around while i attack the actual ship itself.

After my first run on PSCX2 (Soilder) I think these guys were my favorite enemy squadron to duel with.
Not Gault? They're my favorites. Formation of 8, no shenanigans like the other two M16 squadrons, just a straight up fight with the best Belka has.

I always used the F-15S/MTD for this one, the FAEB smashes the XB-O.
One drop takes out all of the initial targets, a second drop for the next group, then a third for the cockpit or just use missiles.

See the runway in Mission 13. And Aigaion is better, benefitting from 20 years of research, much of it from Belka itself.

ok, so that monster plane normally has 6 engines, but sure, it can still fly just fine on just 2, or 1, or none
I think a lot of larger planes like passenger planes and cargo planes are designed to be able to fly with only one engine in case of emergency so it's not completely unfeasible that the XB-0 can fly with only two
Tbh this Rafale Skin (based on the irl counterpart), made me felt like playing AC2 because of the similar patterns

The Final Duwang You can't. You have to destroy the Espada before the cockpit is allowed to be shot.
This is true. I imagined that was the case, but I had never done it, so I went and tested it. The Hresvelgr becomes untargetable after destroying both sets of AA guns and the engines: i.imgur.com/yyffGmc.png
Side note: because she lived a lot longer than usual, I got Espada 2 saying "I'll defend the Hresvelgr", which I think is the only instance in the game that name is actually used. Interesting pronunciation thanks to her accent, too.

Are anyone is crazy enough to tried use F-5E on this mission? I did😂, on medium difficulty, sadly i always failed when doing it on hard difficulty
It's certainly possible. ACZ (and 5) is fairly lenient with low-tier aircraft, compared to other games even the starters are fairly agile.
However, IMO, it'd be more interesting to do that with a Draken - if Espada 1 is badass enough to sue it taht late into the game, so should we. And may just see that soon...
I played through the entire campaign on ace difficulty with the F-5E twice: once on Soldier and once on Knight. It's pretty fun actually xD

I remember the time when i played this game for the... Well, i'm not sure. Hundreds of times already. But it was when this time i actually payed attention to the cutscene and saw Pixy zooming by.
Hresvelgr crew said "Our deaths is not the end of everything. The rest is up to you". And then 'Buddy' does the cool fly-by.
And when i realized that, i was like... "Huh, wait a minute... 'Up to you'... That's right, could only been Pixy. That makes a total sense.
Like the rest of you, i was also confused why he wasn't using the Morgan just yet. But my theory is, that the Morgan is stationed in Avalon, awaiting Pixy's arrival to pilot it. But when Pixy was to pilot it, Demon Lord was there and 'Zero' happened.
Well at least, that was my theory.

My favorite ace squadron would be Gault, but Espada 1 is a BAMF. Engaging you late in the game with a starter plane, and one of my absolute favorite aircraft - only second to the Gripen.

It seems that the emulator operates ACZ pretty well on your PC.
It works even better, now. The shake at the start, the mangled HUD, and the overall lack of smoothness most noticeable in the Espada intro are now all gone. I have an updated emulation guide that covers all that pinned on my channel, if you're interested.
