@@anotherperspective8263 Elaborate or collaborate, a perspective with another view? The fact that you can have either of these possibilities would not even begin, at the conception of thinking, to give birth any thought worth of due praises when compared to considering the fact, for but a moment, that you can and have been given the ability as a gift, that you can.
      Consider this
Creation is His story, to give life as a gift, what is it that a man made a little lower than the angels, in his contaminated condition in flesh, that the Son of God would leave Heaven, a place called perfect, come down into His own very creation, that got contaminated to be hated and killed to set a person free and offer them a place to live in Heaven and to come back home and live forever with perfection.
How about you? If you could find and search the world for a sentence or just a phrase or a Word to even begin to describe such love? please do let me know. As for me, I guess I did find a Word greater than any other to help try best describing such a miracle of such Wonder and that Word to me is both uncontainable and everlasting and I'm quite confident you will find no other greater and that Word is...

God did make us in his image, so I imagine he has many of the emotions that we have, even a sense of humor, but the scriptures about God getting jealous I think means something much deeper than today's definition of jealousy.
I NEVER GET JEALOUS, it doesn't make sense to me and that's one of the reasons I think God is above it and there has to be a deeper more profound meaning to the word that applied in the culture in that day.

What a wonderful passage that is. Thank you Lord for loving us gentiles.
Not only were the widow and Naaman gentiles, but Jesus is using them as perfect examples of faith.... of trusting God. The widow at Zarephath and Naaman had no theology except "whoa, the God of Israel truly is the Most High God." In Naaman's case it was, "whoa, I'm healed now.... surely this is God Almighty." Jesus was stunned at Nazareth's unbelief.

    • @harveywabbit9541

The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous, this last being the adjective form of Iesos, and ungrammatically used as a name Iesous in the Old Testament is translated Joshua; in the New, Jesus. Both are therefore, identical. Drop the termination ous, or os, which is not essential to the meaning of the word, and there remains Ies, in Latin Jes. This is varied: sometimes it is Iao, Ieuo, Eua, Euas, Euas, and Hues, all having for their root the Greek huo-to rain. The reason of the name will be understood when we reflect that the Sun (Jesus) was born during the rainy season on the 25th of December, The Hebrew root from which the name Joshua is derived may also mean to rain. Hence Joshua and Jesus are again proved identical. Indeed, how could we be saved without rain? All must be baptized, or pass through the rainy season, to be saved!

Geez Harvey - that’s a long walk for a short drink.
Even better: the birth of Jesus is symbolic of dark triumphing over night, since December 21, 22, 23 are the longest nights. The morning of December 25 represents a shift north for the sun, with the days becoming longer and longer.
Spring being the equinox brings forth new life in nature, which is why Easter is celebrated then.
Christianity co-opted and amalgamated many different religious traditions.

You think Christians are wrong about reality and you’re mistakenly conflating that with having no concept of what truth is. People who recognize God’s existence have a basis for objective truth because they see that it is sustained by an intelligent mind which precedes nature and humanity. So we have a reason to believe truth is independent of nature and whatever people think. Under naturalism truth would only be a product of the human mind which would also be a product of nature therefore it is not objective. If one mind thinks something is true and another mind thinks something is false then neither is right or wrong, it’s just a product of their biochemistry. It’d be totally up to human perception. I genuinely don’t understand how you can assign the your truth vs my truth ideology to people who believe in God. What, just because some Christian said it? That’s no reason. You have to be under a rock if you don’t know the proponents of the your truth vs my truth paradigm are mostly leftists and atheists. Subjectivism as a philosophy is the doctrine that knowledge is subjective and that there is no external/objective truth. This is a philosophy majorly owned by those who identify with atheism, naturalism, and skepticism, and the your truth vs my truth paradigm is borne of this philosophy.
The creator of mathematics as we know it would be people, if 2+2=5 were true then it would mean that mathematics work differently, that 2 or 5 have different values than we know them to have, or that + and/or = mean something else. We know physical laws exist but the formulas and expressions we use in physics are just representations of its workings just like we use language to represent objects actions and intent. We know ‘math’ exists in some way because it works without fail, but we just make sense of it using things like integers, imaginary numbers, repeating decimals, and we use a base 10 number system. If we used none of these things it would still work but it would look very different.

Nazareth is an alternate spelling of Mazzaroth (the zodiac). Har Megiddo is the Autumn Equinox where the sun "falls" below the equator and trouble (tribulation) begins.
“And there was a man (the Earth) in their synagogue (winter,) with an unclean spirit”-the winter wind (Luke 4: 33.) The unclean spirit cried out: “Let us alone, what have we to do with, thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth (of the Zodiac, near spring)? Art thou come to destroy us? I know who thou art; the Holy One of God” (Sun entering Aries). Jesus said: - “Come out of him” (the Earth); and the “unclean spirit, crying with a loud voice, (March wind), came out of him-Spring came. All were amazed at this new doctrine-at this new change in the weather. Even unclean spirits, or winter weather, departed at the bidding of the Savior. How amazing! how astounding!! Why the Sun's fame spread abroad over all Galilee-over the year. Goody Gracious!
