This is definitely my jam! I love thrifting for pokemon 😊 but I’ve found so many fakes from sun&moon era. Have to be really careful with those. That jirachi looked legit, despite the “sticker.” Pokemon does make sticker cards-do a rip test on a reverse and you’ll see what I mean. The ink line is one of the best last resort tests. With those modern cards, texture is a really good indicator of if it’s legit.
Thanks for the advice! I agree that it's fun to look through random lots in search of hidden treasures. Good to know about the sticker cards. I think most of the XY and SM in the box were fake, but a couple were legit, along with basically all of the SWSH. I figure the value was more than double what I paid, which is nice!

What are you gonna do with that birthday pikachu?
It's just the one from Celebrations, if I recall. A decent find but not a ton of value. I just took a bunch of cards to my local shop for store credit.
