I am 50 years old and never listened to Metallica. And I consider myself a pretty educated music lover. You guys are sharing music and bringing people together, it's amazing to watch and read all the comments from people of all ages and backgrounds! Your grandpa did a great job raising you. You have a beautiful heart and I know your grandpa is so very proud of you!! Keep moving forward. ❤️❤️
Donna M Schiele so well said! I am 54 and never really listened to ‘heavy metal’. This song was so incredible and it just shows how music (even instrumental) is a universal language that binds people together. Working through the pain of loss is one of those universal human experiences. Tim, sharing your vulnerability with your fans is very touching, and really just shows your humanity. Much love to you and your family. 💕
47 year old, about 33 years of Metallica listening /worship (omg, my teens) and 28 years of Cliff Burton tattooed on me, such an inspiration. This song made me cry so much for a long time on every lesson when it was released.
Lost my Dad recently and he loved rock music. When my brother played his guitar my Dad was so proud. I have my memories and rock that reminds me of him.🎸🕊
The comments alone make this my favourite reaction channel, I'm from London a 52-year-old black guy who loves music and appreciates the whole spectrum of music that evolved from blues, Celtic folk and classical music....watching the chaos that the world is in watching this channel gives me hope that we can evolve like music and incorporate all cultures to create something beautiful.
Most of the world’s modern love fests have come from music. That’s what friends are for provided funding for AIDS research, Michael Jackson asked top star musicians to leave their egos at the door and Feed The World, John Cougar Mellencamp brought everyone together for farm aid, and the whole world all fell in love with Queen and Freddie Mercury at Live Aid. I think the world could use that now. Maybe a fully Internet version to keep everyone safe from Coronavirus all the musicians could be in secluded studios or their home studios and live feed it. If ever there was a time for another Heal The World, it’s now.
@@sandramacdonald178 I'm getting all my cassettes together.Found 1 of my great niece she's 10 and I'm 60 and loves Alice In Chains! Yes!! So I'm handing her 250 of my cassettes.
P.s. I’m 43 and this still brings me to tears EVERY time I hear it. So so sooooo beautiful..... My dad when he was alive used to say to me ( was a full blown military hard tough bastard) ‘Son, any fool can act tough when upset or hurt......a man, a REAL man will put his emotions out there, to be judged, and no man can judge another. Don’t hold on to darkness......
You can actually see when he went from listening to the music to visualizing his grandpa and reliving his memories. It was heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. You and your brother are remarkable young men that give hope to all of us 'old timers'. Stay true. Peace and love to you and everyone.
The transition the picked A minor chord section always chills me. You have to remember that their friend and bass player died in a tragic bus crash before this album.
YES, THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN BY THE GREAT CLIFF BURTON HIMSELF, THE RUMOR WAS THAT HE WOULD ALWAYS SAY THIS SO HE NAMED THE SONG TO LIVE IS TO DIE, TRAGICALLY WE LOST CLIFF SOON AFTER.
@@RagingInsomniac Cliff died after they recorded Master Of Puppets, though parts of this song, including the poem, were recorded/written by Cliff before his death, so the band made the rest of it in dedication to him.
This song is Grief, Anger and Mourning. It is emotion captured in sound. 3 young men mourning the death of their brother. I like to think its an instrumental because they could not put their grief and pain into words. They let the music talk for them. Im sorry to hear what your going through. Remember. You have a gift, connecting to music so deeply is something not everyone is capable of. I pity them. To listen to something as sinister and beautiful as this and feel nothing. They rarely play this song live. It is just to painful. I think that is testament to the song.
Wow, thanks for the history. My emotions felt the up and down of (as I understand it to be now) Grief, Anger and Morning. You really feel it. Simply AMAZING 😌
I grew up in the Metallica era but never took them in. At 40, with this young man’s help, I’ve finally opened my mind to hear what Metallic offered to the world. I became lost into the music just like him. It locked me in. All these years passed, and I never knew. This song is AMAZING!!
The man who wrote the bass lines for this song was crushed under their tour buss when it rolled over and they never could put words to it so they played it and released it on the album and it's rarely ever played live. RIP Cliff Burton. You were an incredible talent. Sleep well brother.
They say that little orbs that appear on video is a loved one who has passed and may be visiting you. At .52 to .53 seconds into your broadcast there is an orb that fly's by right next to your head. God bless. Peace.
This video shows why Metallica is one of the greatest bands of all time and why your channel has over half a million subscribers. This is a celebration of the universal power of music to reach inside us and touch the deepest places that make us human. Your channel a much needed gift of unity to a fractured world. I am sure your grandfather would be very proud of this honest, joyful, genuine light you’re shining. Keep it up.
This was so hard to watch. I felt your heartbreak as it overcame you. Hearing your story has made me admire you even more, you should be so proud of the men you have become. You must be inspiring so many people your age and are fantastic role models.
My father past two years ago. He asked my brother to play Metallica on his acoustic at his services. I am still finding it hard to think of him without trying to push it out of my head because it hurts so much. But listening and watching with you just now.... it was very cathartic. Been a quiet fan for a while. But needed to tell you thank you and let you know what you’re doing is making a difference. I love watching you and your brother experiencing songs cross culture and time lines. You both make me smile, laugh and now cry in these hard times. Peace and love to you both Sincerely, Dawn.
never be sorry for wearing your heart on your sleeve. First time watching any of your videos. Glad you have an open mind and are willing to listen to new to you music. Keep it up!
This is why you're channel is amazing. I've never heard this song in my life, and I loved it. Not only that, but I got to know you a bit as well. Losing someone you love is always difficult. Thank you for sharing a piece of you.
My god this song was beautiful! I'm an OLD rocker and never heard it. Thank you not only for sharing it, but sharing you. It takes a real man to be honest like that. It is heartbreaking to watch the ones you love slip away. 💕
My advice, having gone through this. Ask your grandfather about his early life and any questions that you can think. Record him on your cell. Those talks will become invaluable and make sure you store them on the cloud in case your cell goes down. This is a great gift you can give him and yourselves. Don't treat him any differently and definitely don't pity him. You kind of have to buck it up just like you did early on in this video. Just make everything the same for him as you possibly can. Then you can cry after you see him. You're such a good young man. Short term is very difficult for him right now and eventually long term will be as well. But right now, spend as much time as you can and record videos and audio as as much as you can. Blessings on you and your whole family! You to have brought me a lot of encouragement during this time of my life. Keep it up!
I sooo agree with this!! My grandfather had so much to tell and to hear what he had to share adds another piece of the puzzle to who you are and to your heart. Record him💕
I agree..my pops died and I was like..but but, I don’t know this, I have a question..my pops was very stoic and I didn’t ask enough questions about him because of that...I missed out. If I had one more day.
@@keelsmac01 wow. My mom died when I was 11. In my teens, I wished that I could ask her question about her stories and memories or she could give me advice. She was so good at it.
At the 13:16 minute mark, there is an orb that flows down from the top right corner and exits down the middle of the screen. Grandpa's spirit must have come for a visit.
Sweet boy. You and your brother have been a bright light through this Covid thing. Your reactions are so real and it’s beautiful that you put your emotions out there. So many different people from different walks of life are sharing this with you. Thank you.
You hit me in all the feels. Never apologize for your feelings. Grandpa sounds like he was a good man, and you were so lucky to have him there for you. Blessings to you and your brothers.
The middle harmonizing section gets me every time, pure mastery and EPIC. Lump in my throat every time as a die hard Metallica fan. My fav instrumental by a mile as is a tribute to bass player Cliff Burton who died in bus crash when band was on tour aged just 24. R.i.p. Legend. No need be sorry because this is why I love this song as is such an emotion song as reason I said. Followed Metallica since mid 80s here in Ireland. Condolences to you and your family.
God bless your grandfather. He sounded like an amazing man to step in and make sure you and your brothers did not get separated. Beautiful story, beautiful man, beautiful family. Fan for life. Keep the man’s legacy alive. One love! ☝️❤️
As of today, 192,866 of us were in that room with you. Your grandpa sounds like an incredible gentleman, and it looks to us like he raised two excellent young men. You did some good being real and genuine and allowing this video to make it's way in the world. I feel better about the coming generation knowing you're in it.
It's amazing, to see these 2 young men create this channel and provide such a wide range of musical talent and be non discriminatory. To see how many of us subscribe to this and enjoy. I'll bet they couldn't have imagined the love they would get from all over the world!!! What a blessing. One thing that strikes me most, especially in these troubled times we live in, is when I read the comments, the reactions from white, black, brown young and old!!!! Its AMAZING to me and reminds me that we are all connected and we ARE capable of exploring others interest and cultures and able to enjoy and connect to one another. Which let's me know the problem is not us as a human race the problem is the mouth pieces we put in POWER!!! We are not divided by instinct we are divided by manipulation. I ADORE YOU KIDS!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Through this music and your channel you ease the tensions of hearts.
Beautifully said! I just discovered these kids today and I’m loving their reactions because these kids have soul and are open to all genres of music....keep at it!
White woman in Oregon here, and you put words to exactly how I feel. This channel brings light and healing to my day, no matter what. Such a simple thing, and something we all have in common.
Sweet young man, I was crying for you and with you. Grandparents are so precious, especially ones who step up and do what yours did. Grief is powerful but important. Don't be sorry for your pain--let it out and you'll feel cleansed. It will come in waves. I just lost one of my younger brothers August 3. I'll spare the details, but he was barely a shell of his former self. It was horrible hearing the weakness in his voice the last I spoke with him. We talked about music all the time. Your posts are helping me grieve and bringing back sweet memories. Much love to you and your family. You and your brothers now have the opportunity to be his legacy of love and leadership. ❤
The band themselves were using this song to deal with the loss of their original bass player Cliff Burton who had tragically died in a bus accident while they were on tour the year before. A lot of riffs were based on Cliff's basslines.
So proud of you trusting us with your emotions and life!!!! He is like your father, it's hard. I am raising my 4yr old granddaughter. God bless you and I pray for strength and comfort for you and your family.
Hey man much love. Know that his last day here isn’t his last day my friend. Keep giving that love man that is how we live our best lives. Keep it real as you always do. Music like this allows you to let it out on your terms. Keep it 100 bro
Damn........You can see the EXACT instant when the song got to him, right when the volume swells (sounds like violins) kick in about midway through the song. Powerful stuff.
I haven't heard this song in probably 15 years. It was one of my favorites, I wore out the cassette tape it was on (copied from my then boyfriend's tape!). I was a big Metallica fan in the 90's.The moment that guitar struck up, I remembered every part of that song. Thank you for sharing your reaction. I am envious of you and your ability to hear these songs for the first time. After all these years, this song can still give me the chills and brings tears. I highly recommend you listen to the song Fade to Black off the Ride the Lightning album.
Wow! Such a young-un but such a special reaction.... I’ve watched a ton of reaction videos, but this topped them all. The raw emotion shown and verbalized shows a deep appreciation of not only the music, but how it touches us all. Most of us can appreciate and relate to the songs that we listen to, but this MAN just poured his soul out to us in front of a camera for all to see. Props to you for doing so. I feel for your anguish over your grandfather and for your other family. Keep your head up. Well done.
The emotions you’re feeling will soon lead to a feeling of peace. I’m probably twice your age, but I only recently started to understand what people mean when they say loved ones never die. After losing my grandmother who had a hand in raising me 3 years ago, I find that these days, I never feel anything but joy when I remember the things she enjoyed or something silly she might have said. Only the good memories last. Trust me on that! The best way to honor your grandfather is to try to be the man he saw in you and do what he did...step up one day when someone else is down and out. You can keep it personal or maybe even establish a charity in his honor that raises money to displaced youth. Whatever you choose, take his conscience with you...because he sounds like he was a brave, honorable man who did what he felt was right when things weren’t all right in your family. You can honor him perfectly by being that someone else. I can already see and hear that his guidance helped produce someone conscientious enough to realize the sacrifice he made in his golden years. Cherish the memories and when you face conflict, ask yourself what your grandfather would have done if he were in your shoes. If you stay true to his spirit and true to yourself, you can never truly be wrong and you’ll be blessed with peace for the rest of what I hope is a long, healthy and successful life. You have all the tools you need, young man. Take your time to grieve...and when you’re ready, become master of your own destiny and live a life that would make your grandfather proud. I’m sure he was already more proud of you than you’ll ever know. You’re going to be at peace with his passing very soon, but don’t ever forget him. Be well, young man!
I lost me wife four months ago. She suffered, physically and mentally, for many years. I cry and even scream sometimes. I have cried ,in public, many times. I used to be ashamed, but not anymore. Never ever be ashamed to cry. It is a sign of true goodness and humanness.
Hope you’re doing well. You’re a strong individual and though we do not know each other I feel like our life experiences connect us through this. Live life to the fullest the way your wife would have wanted you to. Thank you for sharing my friend :)
@@hahakb03 Your welcome. I am slowly and steadily resuming many of my former activities. Eventuality, I would like to resume volunteering. I was a mentor in my local school district for three years and I might try to re-apply. Thank you again for your kind,, supportive words and stay well.👍
WE LOVE YOU , YOU ARE “EXACTLY” WHAT WE NEED, U JUST HELPED SO SO SO SO MANY, LITTLE OF YOUR TIME MEANS SO MUCH , THANKS WITH ALL OUR HEART, ,HUGS TO YOU AND AGAIN , KEEP SHARING !
To live is to die... Justice for Cliff and Jason. On the 27th of September it will be 33 years since Cliff Burton left us Trashers... R.I.P. Bass God and Legacy 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🖤
You guys are the "token" friends of a lot of old white guys that are making you listen to the likes of Metallica . That's your cross to bear young man . Now I'm going to be an "Italian Stallion " for my Black girlfriend at 555 Front st in Hempstead.
My Granny raised me and my little sis. She was born in the ‘30’s but she would let me blast Metallica back in the ‘90s (Especially this song) and would never complain. She past in February of this year and this triggered the waterworks big time. This was definitely full circle. I feel you!!!
I think so many of us have forgotten how to be real and we love that you remind us. You are a treasure! Thank you for sharing your heart with us. Your grandpa was a beautiful soul who Gave all his heart to his grandkids. May his beautiful memory stay with you forever.
This is mindfulness...when you close your eyes and just listen to where the music takes you and how the same piece of music effects everyone differently and sometimes the same. It is very emotional and takes you to a place that surprises you
I really wanna give you a hug, buddy! I play this song, on my guitar, just to warm up.... but it brings a tear to my eye every time. Thank you for reacting to this song. I miss all my grandparents very much... this reaction made me think of all of them at once. It's like we all sat around just enjoying some time together for a few minutes. Again, thank you.
Thank you for your truth and rawness. Those of us who have lost someone dear are all moved by how you felt, by your emotion, and by the truth in that music. What a man your grandpa was - those people in our lives who made us who we are. Sending love from all the way over in Australia.
As a first time grandparent, I can honestly tell you, the love we have for our grandchildren is beyond words. Your grandfather loved you boys so very much♥️♥️♥️
Your Grandpa is one of the great ones. There's a big difference between knowing what's right and actually doing it. He stepped up hard and it made a genuine impact on your life which you'll take on with you. That being said, this could be my favorite album by them. I know everyone loves MOP KEA and RTL but this one, to me, is much better. They were polished enough at this point but not mainstream yet. Such good sound mixes and still that raw beat. Great reaction.
My heart aches for your sadness, man. Music is one of those things that can bridge the emptiness of such a thing. As a long time Metallica fan, I'm glad you were able to find solace in their artistry. It was a beautiful moment.
Condolences to you about your grandpa and any losses you've had in your life. Takes a lot for a man to step up like that and take over guardianship, he must have been a good man and a good person. You have a good heart too.
I am in tears. I lost my Mom a few years ago and never did I think that Metallica would represent these kind of emotions, but hearing this through your ears...and your pure LISTENING to music with your heart, really moved me. Your Grampa would be so proud of what a beautiful human you have grown up to be.I'm sure there is a lot of him in you and your brothers. He must be awesome. I hope you still get to spend time with him and hold his hand or tell him stories. Our families are precious. xoPeg
Your grandpa did an AMAZING job love! You and your brother are such beautiful spirits and so appreciated beyond what you could even know. You are the future and you give me so much hope for the future. Your openness to all kinds of music and your sharing of your heart is inspiring and full of the love and kindness in your heart! THANK YOU!
Yo! So, I was going to fast forward through this cause I wasn’t really interested in this particular song, but then... you got vulnerable and so I stayed. As a fellow man, thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your emotions. That’s what men do. That’s where healing is. Thanks brah! 🤙🏻🏄🏼♂️
I had the same thing happen to me. It's a long song Heard it a lot of times. Short attention span. But then when he got emotional. It was deep. Watched the whole video then. Music should definitely make you feel something.
not sure how anybody can not be interested in this amazing song ! i actually put my guitar down for like 5 yrs...lost interest. I picked it up one day and started playing this for the first time in probably 7 yrs, and i haven't put it down sine, that was 20 yrs ago. so this song helped me re-discover my only true passion...thank you cliff, james, lars & kirk
Truth is I never really have listen Metallica and at my age I think I should have. So this is also my first time listing to this song. My mom like your granddad has dementia. Sometimes all I can do it sit by her. While I'm doing that I am watching your videos.
I’ve always liked the interpretation that this song during the heavy parts was meant to represent the band in the beginning of their career and then the sudden interlude is them dealing with the death of cliff, and then the transition to the heavy parts again is them continuing to press on after his death and to honor the legacy he left
I always thought of this song in that way. Isn't that weird? It just sounds like they're going strong and they keep getting stronger and then it cuts short and gets sad and then it builds back up again to Triumph.
I’m in my 70s and have enjoyed many kinds of music from opera to gospel to country & western, R&B, hip hop, and a little rap - but I’ve never gotten into heavy metal. I think I’m just now old enough to appreciate it. Thank you, twins, for bringing me to this. Powerful stuff.
My grandfather raised me until I was 6, I did end up in foster care when he could not continue to raise me. I had a foster parent, that eventually adopted me, but she went out of her way to take me back to my home town to visit my grandpa when ever it was possible. He was my hero my mentor. Hope you can carry that experience with you the rest of your life, and treasure that time.
when most listen to country or some slow song when dealing with things....I listen to Metallica, Guns N Roses, Ozzy and Cinderella. They always put my mind at ease. METAL GURL FOREVER ♡♡♡
Old post, but I'm so glad I found your channel and started going back through your history to witness these reactions, and to find that you have your own story that you're telling through your experience with all this music. Thanks for sharing.
I Love how open minded you are. Music brings people together. You bring people together with your videos. Please don't stop doing what your doing baby. I LOVE WATCHING YOU ENJOY ALL MUSIC!!!! No matter if u cry, laugh or dance that's what music does to our souls. Love your videos
Music speaks to the soul and transcends culture, race, religion, gender, etc. It is truly wonderful to watch you FEEL the music. Praise to you for breaking stereotypes and showing the world that we are all ONE and can love and respect one another if we just open our minds.
Bud, you're on a full blown musical journey. Hearing things that you may have never thought twice about before now. It's great to see you getting swept up in the tunes that previous generations jammed to. You may not have known what Metallica was doing playing this particular song and the story behind it, but it sure seems to have hit home. Play it loud, let your thoughts go wild and let the feelings flow. It's alright and we thank you for having us along on your journey.
prayers up for your grandpa, my grandma is 88 and has dementia as well, no fun watching your loved ones go through that.. keep up with the good reactions
Us as a people, we only listen to Rap, Reggae, and R&B. We need to explore other music. Music shouldn't be categorized for what race we are. I am Black and been listening to Rock, Metal, Classical, Folk, etc. I have diversity in my life that expands my knowledge of what's out here in this life. By the way, I've seen METALLICA 8 times in concert! They are truly great!!!
@@ChadsGarage1 God Bless you 🙏 too my friend! It's not over yet Metallica are about to make another album and do another world tour hopefully next year. Let's pray for this "Coronavirus madness " to end, so we can go see METALLICA!!!
Probably has something to do with white people taking over the other genres. Almost all modern music has black roots. People forget this or just don't know history. It's sad.
I'm 49 so I know who Metallica is....BUT I NEVER KNEW they had skills like this. I love a good instrumental because you have to capture the emotion without words. This was fantastic!
Cliff Burton (R.I.P) was the only member of Metallica that actually taught music and harmonies and keys, he taught James, Lars and Kirk(they were self taught musicians) for the melody and harmonies in minor keys to their music. This song from guitars to bass was parts that Cliff played in studio in the downtime of recordings, from the first time I heard it it got me crying.
Crazy I only started scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else saw that as well! 🙏😇❤️✨ I hope he reads these comments & plays this video back bcuz there's no denying what we just witnessed
I want to say something that will comfort you the way you and your brother's channel comfort me. My grandparents have passed, my mom committed suicide when I was 9. Raised by my Dad (only sibling has severe autism and nonverbal). My Dad physically abused me and my brother punched often told me I was stupid and daily said I couldn't do anything right. Here's the hope: I left home at 15 but as an adult we got closer he was like a new person. Still wasn't nurturing but not angry. He suddenly got cancer and was on oxygen took off his mask to say something I never heard, "You're doing EVERYTHING right I am proud of you." He improved enough to get off oxygen and laugh at my jokes. As he sat with his hospital scrambled eggs getting cold and wouldn't eat I got him to laugh and eat with a song: a parody of Yesterday by John Lennon with Jimmy Fallon called "Scrambled Eggs" check it out:)
I'm glad you have survived as a functioning human after all that early trauma.. hard for people to understand, I cant really, but I wish well for you and your family, peace always
Lynda Rocco, you are such a beautiful, loving person! It shows in the kind way you reached out to comfort Tim while he is grieving the loss of his Grandpa - given all you've been through (& survived!) yourself. What a blessing for you to have those last moments with your Dad, and finally hear him able to express his love for you! Happy for you & wish you all good things in life!
Damnit man, you’ve got me all choked up now.Lost my dad 4 years ago, that was the only one that I had left,so I know what you’re talking about. You were lucky to have your Grandpa,he must’ve been one hell of a great man for what he did.
Don't ever apologize for feeling your feelings. I just found your channel tonight and I should have gone to bed hours ago, but I can't stop watching. It's been great watching y'all discover music that's been the soundtrack to my life. You guys have made me laugh and cry and laugh again....I cried with you watching you think about your grandpa. I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big old hug. Hope you're doing well and can't wait to make it through all your videos
You`re not alone, man. I lost my dad to dementia 4 years ago. I`m also coming up on 1 year that I lost my little brother. He died on 9/29 last year. Gotta be tuff.
puncht37 9/29 has special meaning to me. As I’m looking forward to that date, I’m sure you’re not so eager for that date to arrive. I’m sorry for the loss of your brother and I hope you can find yourself at peace with his passing in time. Be well.
Hey man, I feel your reaction. Its beautiful. Thats what music has the capacity to do. Bring out real feeling. This was a beautiful thing to watch, to see you reveal something so real to the world, just from an INTRO to a song. Don't apologize, what you felt was real and deserves to be felt. I'm so happy that music made you feel something so real. My dad was in Vietnam andthe Alice in Chains song "Rooster" made me feel some things I never thought of before really hit home so many years later. Don't be ashamed of your feelings, its something to give your strength man.
Just found your channel tonight. I started watching and was hooked right away. I got very, very emotional. Had tears and smiles of joy. How can such great music just fade away with its generation, when there was so much humanity that went onto so much original stuff? And it is still so moving and relevant and powerful? The BEST part is seeing your genuine reactions, guys, because you are so open hearted and real. My grandmother meant the world to me, too. I felt how much you love your wonderful grandfather. Thank you for not editing that out. Feelings like that are what life is all about at its best, and when love is that sure and real, even death can't take it away from your heart. You are a beautiful soul and I am grateful for YOU.
Coming back to this video again and again. 1st of all - didn't know the song, even after 45 years of my being. It's so good. Thank you for that. Second - your raction shows that music is a language and you picked up on the vibes the band members were in after losing a part of them. Third - your genuine response is precious. I appriciate your ability to really listen and enjoy the music on your journey. Thank you man
I've had to redirect my thoughts while listening to Fade to Black... Both a parent and friend passed away that loved Fade more than any other Metallica track.
Damn that was unexpected, 🥺 caught me off guard! Its so crazy my grandpa's is where i grew up most of my life ,i just lost it when you broke down a bit . I just shed some tears with ya . I already know your gramps was a great man for everything he did at his age . I miss my grandpa ,man this was where i jammed this song was at his house how did you know to talk about your grand dad at this certain time of the song thats who i was laying here thinking about at the same time you broke down ! ... dude i just literally shed tears thinking about him when your talking about yours that was crazy bro ...wow you just took me back ... thank you i needed that .. sorry it was emotional on your end .. man that was crazy how this all went together like that .. wtf
Sweetheart. I'm so sorry about your grandparents. You have a good heart, and there is so much love coming to you and your family from me, and from us all.
Thank you for your song choice and that emotional reaction. This song is beautiful and also very special to me. Greetings from Poland brother! PS. If I can suggest you a song please react to Disposable heroes from Metallica Master
Thanks for the reaction, man! You picked a particularly emotional song. I was moved when I heard your story about your grandad, and saddened to hear about his suffering with dementia. Cliff Burton, the author of the lyric in this song, died tragically in 1986. This song is a tribute to him. My interpretation of his lyric, "all this I cannot bear to witness any longer, cannot the Kingdom of Salvation take me home?" is a cry for a world without suffering. Because the suffering we all experience in this world (a common unity) is IMMENSE! I hope your grandfather does not suffer from dementia any longer, and he can be at peace. Take care, and keep the reactions coming! :)
carlos the nicest music festival this middle-aged, white woman has ever been to was a metal one. Huge scary looking folk all around, yet helpful, friendly and ensuring everyone enjoyed the vibe.

That’s the beauty of music 🥰
This is a particular peach!
Don't ever say you're sorry for being human and showing your emotions.

I wish TH-cam had a stronger reaction than just like, because I absolutely love this comment.

Excellent comment.

This might be the most real thing I’ve ever seen.
I think he died after the Master of Puppets song, somewhere around Battery maybe.
@@RagingInsomniac Cliff died after they recorded Master Of Puppets, though parts of this song, including the poem, were recorded/written by Cliff before his death, so the band made the rest of it in dedication to him.
Rip Cliff 🤘
This song is Grief, Anger and Mourning. It is emotion captured in sound. 3 young men mourning the death of their brother. I like to think its an instrumental because they could not put their grief and pain into words. They let the music talk for them.
Im sorry to hear what your going through. Remember. You have a gift, connecting to music so deeply is something not everyone is capable of. I pity them. To listen to something as sinister and beautiful as this and feel nothing.
They rarely play this song live. It is just to painful. I think that is testament to the song.

Keep it up!

This song puts me on so many different emotions when I'm high from Marijuana lmao 🤣🤣
The band themselves were using this song to deal with the loss of their original bass player Cliff Burton who had tragically died in a bus accident while they were on tour the year before. A lot of riffs were based on Cliff's basslines.

Wow.....beautiful words of encouragement 🙏

I’ve always liked the interpretation that this song during the heavy parts was meant to represent the band in the beginning of their career and then the sudden interlude is them dealing with the death of cliff, and then the transition to the heavy parts again is them continuing to press on after his death and to honor the legacy he left
I always thought of this song in that way. Isn't that weird? It just sounds like they're going strong and they keep getting stronger and then it cuts short and gets sad and then it builds back up again to Triumph.

You are an absolute inspiration
@@onlyonetracyxxx thanks did you listen to it? No one ever wrote to me before though I never commented ever until Twinsthenewtrend
@@cynthiascrima8557 Thank you for what you wrote it means a lot🙂
I cry every time I hear this song. This was the purest most honest reaction I've seen. This is what i love about music.
Be well.
I’m so sorry for your loss..may you find peace and they RIP together💜🙏💜
Man, that sucks. Having someone precious to gone. I hear u. Hope you have peace man.
puncht37 don’t worry, you’ll see them in Heaven one day
💔♥️🙏
YOU have a good heart and it's because of your grandfather. Don't ever lose site of that.
Thank you man
This song hits man, you should check out fade to black or nothing else matters both really sad
I've had to redirect my thoughts while listening to Fade to Black... Both a parent and friend passed away that loved Fade more than any other Metallica track.
Orion
NEM is not sad, it’s a song about being yourself and trusting that others have the ability to be themselves.
@Cpt. Hook Can My Friend of Misery be added to your list?
Unforgiven is pretty emotional
They're always there in spirit. I've suffered a lot of loss in my life and each time I somehow was able to draw from their strength.
Damn that was unexpected, 🥺 caught me off guard! Its so crazy my grandpa's is where i grew up most of my life ,i just lost it when you broke down a bit . I just shed some tears with ya . I already know your gramps was a great man for everything he did at his age . I miss my grandpa ,man this was where i jammed this song was at his house how did you know to talk about your grand dad at this certain time of the song thats who i was laying here thinking about at the same time you broke down ! ... dude i just literally shed tears thinking about him when your talking about yours that was crazy bro ...wow you just took me back ... thank you i needed that .. sorry it was emotional on your end .. man that was crazy how this all went together like that .. wtf
Your reaction tugs at my heart
Sweetheart. I'm so sorry about your grandparents. You have a good heart, and there is so much love coming to you and your family from me, and from us all.
Thank you for your song choice and that emotional reaction. This song is beautiful and also very special to me. Greetings from Poland brother! PS. If I can suggest you a song please react to Disposable heroes from Metallica Master
justice for all is with ten from pearl jam and dirt from aic under my top 3
Love disposable heroes.
Love your suggestion
Zgadza się / That’s right. Poles love Metallica.
This was so educational and inspiring...
hate how ppl think metalheads are all emo or scary
We got this side too 🤧
carlos the nicest music festival this middle-aged, white woman has ever been to was a metal one. Huge scary looking folk all around, yet helpful, friendly and ensuring everyone enjoyed the vibe.
Your grandpa must be an amazing human to have raised you and your brothers to be such caring people. Your family is blessed to have each other. 💗
That rhythm guitar part in the middle of the song always gives me chills.. Such beautiful and masterpiece of a tune.
