I love this show because of Valerie and Duff!! I am so disappointed they let her go!! Valerie is so positive in her comments to the kids! And she is such a wonderful person!! I will miss her, and Food Network should reconsider!

Food Network is going nutty. I loved ' Valerie's Home Cooking' but I don't care much for the baking contests; child or adult contestants. So many of my favorite shows only ran for 1 season or were discontinued after many seasons and I don't like that. Anybody remember when she hosted a show similar to Family Feud but the contestants cooked, instead of answering questions? Other shows that I miss, but not connected to Valerie : Out Cheffed, Big Bad Budget Battle and Thanksgiving Challenge, . So many good shows, so many talented people that food network is getting rid of, how sad. 😕🥺 Now that Darnell Ferguson has fallen into serious legal issues, perhaps the network will reconsider firing her. Guy can only host so many shows . Lol !!
I will miss her. She was a delight to have on that show. She was so good to the kids and seemed to love them all and you could tell they loved her too. I’m just sad to see her go.

Love Valerie, I’m from the U.K. and they do stuff like this over here. So many shows getting rid of presenters and replacing them for no reason. It bothers me that no one seems to care about Duff at all. Low ratings could effect him. He has a family to support.. He recently injured his hand. I hope he can bake again and get those shows going again. Meanwhile he can still host and judge all The Championship shows. They film so far in advance.

Ever since I was 12 yrs old and in jr high, everyone called me Valerie because I looked like her when she was on One Day at a Time. That show was very popular around that time and I always loved that people thought I looked so much like her. All through high school the kids at school called me "Val". I am now 56 yrs old and my daughter showed my son in law some pics of Valerie Bertinelli during that era along with some pics of me and he said oh "wow, your mom is so pretty!!!!" LOL He literally could not tell them apart!! I have always and still do love that people say I look like her to this day. What a great compliment!!! 🙏❤

She was in no way fired. Her contract was up for renewal, she tried to negotiate a higher salary. It backfired and the network then decided to not renew her contract.

I used to watch her/Duff all the time. The food network is all Guy and Bobby now. It used to be quality watching but now it’s just competition between these two. I just don’t want to hear everyone’s opinion about everything all the time. I just stopped following her on Instagram because of it. I’m sure she’s a great person. I just got tired of her comments.

This makes me sad. I've been a fan of Valerie Bertinelli since One Day at a Time was on. She just seems like such a nice person. I totally agree with her on the weight and feel the same way. I've had my weight struggles and sometimes your body just seems to have a set point. I'm looking to the future and am looking forward to seeing Valerie on television shows again! She is a great actress and I would love to see her more.

I hate to be the only rude person on here. I used to love Valerie but now I just think she needs to stop talking so much. She makes comments that are just rude and is always giving her opinion. I just don’t want to hear everyone’s opinion about everything all the time. I just stopped following her on Instagram because of it. I’m sure she’s a great person. I just got tired of her comments.

This makes me sad. I've been a fan of Valerie Bertinelli since One Day at a Time was on. She just seems like such a nice person. I totally agree with her on the weight and feel the same way. I've had my weight struggles and sometimes your body just seems to have a set point. I'm looking to the future and am looking forward to seeing Valerie on television shows again! She is a great actress and I would love to see her more.

I'm sorry to hear Valerie will not be judging the kids baking championship. She was the most likeable and caring judge. A lot of the other judges can be really harsh.

Valerie and Duff are the ultimate team and have worked together for many seasons. I hate when they want to replace someone your used to seeing every week, it changes the whole show and it very disappointing. I don't think ill continue watching without Valerie. Shame on you Food Network!
I think the Food Network is making a big mistake letting her go. She is adored by fans and is an incredible cook to boot. She is so relatable, so sweet, genuinely sweet and kind. You are an amazing home cook and you've helped me become a better home cook. And you could always get your own TH-cam channel using Patreon to support it. We, the fans--don't want you to go.
