    Still have my pro preferred PROS20JA 32.5 from 2002. Never really finished breaking it in before I stopped playing. Took it out today to clean it up and work on it a little which led me to your video.

    Good on ya. I do re lacing and minor repairs. Doing binding and patching takes a lot of work. Many years ago I met a Japanese man that did custom leather work for cars, turned out he used to make custom baseball gloves for a small company back in Japan. He would also do repairs and would dye and taper the edges of patches so they were smooth. Running a special stitch. Really interesting fellow.

    Can you explain the benefit of going with a wider lace in the web? Glove came out niiiiiccceee. Great repair

      Thats the area of the glove that takes the most stress, so I use the thicker lace because it is stronger than the narrower.

    Nice work! When did great value start making adhesive out of coffee?! 😂 I’ve noticed that when I get to relace a glove, its mostly CM’s. Your videos help out alot!

    Great video. I have a HOH catchers glove that could use a restoration. What would that cost?

    So I've heard that Catchers Mitts are the hardest to re-lace, Do you agree and why? Love the videos!

      They may he for beginners, but once you understand the patterns they are all very similar. Just subtle differences with different brands and models.

      CM’s and 1B mitts do take a good bit more work, but are not any harder per se. Did one basket weave OF glove and that was really tedious.

      @MrBurtonPE ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bremms1 yeah the basket weave looks like it would take at least 8 laces to do. Forgot about that one 😅

    excellent video but playback is very fast. not even adjusting the video on youtube in slow speed can perform the restoration steps

    • @DurhamGloveRepair
      @DurhamGloveRepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The video would be way too long if not sped up and I’ve found cutting them up into multiple videos isn’t great unfortunately.

    • @gbaker1a775
      @gbaker1a775 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just slow the video speed down in the options to whatever you like…
