The crab noodle soup you had is called bún riêu it’s a tomato based soup with minced crab cakes and tofu, probably one of the best noodle soups there (in my opinion)

The steam rice cake with coconut in South side Viet Nam we call it “bánh đúc”. It’s a firmer version and different than the North side’s “bánh đúc” which is more loose and sticky. We use it with sweet fish sauce, fry futons, scallion oil and pickles make from radish and carrot .

I was living in cali, and most viet restaurant there you wont see any korean eat there, but u will see a lot of vietnamese eating in a korean restaurant, what does that tell you? The korean they dont support the vietnamese restaurant or the supermarket, they will shop and eat in their own korean market.

Frozen Custard and ice cream related. Recommend Mr. Wizards off big bend blvd, love their custard and have tried a couple. Make sure to try Clementines Nice and Naughty and not sure if you have heard about a unique place called Ices Plain and Fancy. Very new option is a food truck Sugarwitch. Homemade ice cream bars.

Seoul Garden has bbq, and Sides of Seoul is east on Page from where you ate, they do really good banchan and gimbap. There's also a Bb.Q chicken (Korean fried chicken chain featured in King: Eternal Monarch) location in O'Fallon, IL. Many Vietnamese and Thai will be on South Grand, try Pho Grand in particular. Pearl Cafe on Lindbergh for Thai. Haveli on Page avenue for Indian. Chinese restaurants abound on Olive. Mai Lee (Vietnamese) in Brentwood. Corner 17 (Chinese) on Delmar. Your gf is just not as dialed into the food as someone who's lived here a while. We know where to eat!

If you come back to Maryland, there are a few places you need to try. Hahn's in Westminster for a Rubicon sandwich, Hoffman's (also in Westminster) for ice cream, and Beseto Korean food hall in Catonsville. The same shopping center has Jamaican, Vietnamese and Chinese food, plus a crepe restaurant.

Món ăn ở đây rất hợp khẩu vị với vợ chồng tui, bánh xèo, bánh bèo, nậm lọc, bánh khọt… chân gà chua ngọt, tôm cua rang me, xôi chiên, thịt bò, heo, gà vịt, bún bò, sushi, chè đủ món… nhân viên phục vụ dễ thương và nhanh nhẹn.
Tui tìm hiểu thì chủ Kim Son Restaurant chia sẻ: “Mama La” is the secret ingredient behind each of our KIM SON Restaurants. Born in Vietnam, Kim Su Tran La, her husband and their seven children, arrived in Houston in 1980 after fleeing from Communist regime in their homeland. Armed with her extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cooking, which was passed down to her from her mother-in-law, Mama La managed to memorize over 250 recipes before opening the first KIM SON Restaurant. Her food quickly gained the following of thousands of fans along with the admiration and loyalty of many of Vietnam’s top restaurant cities. The original KIM SON was located in Vinh Long before it was eventually closed due to the communist takeover in Vietnam.

I like Andy’s frozen custard better than Ted Drewes. You can find good desserts that not overly sweet at La Bonne Bouchee Patisserie & Cafe. And if you haven’t tried Mai Lee, I highly recommend 👌🏼
    Love watching your videos 🖤

i feel bad when i go to the local pho place and clear them out of the garlic chili paste and most of the hot oil (hot oil on request). they automatically bring the hot oil now. i love my spicy.
