  • Here is how I created a one of a kind paint job on the fly in my back yard with no real plan.

Now that's a wicked old school paint job. The way my dad and his brothers in the club would paint their bikes years ago. Nice to see the art making a comeback.

Nice. Aren't you supposed to sand it before clear coat? Just wondering.
    Nice work.

When spraying the gold flake, you can see flake ricocheting off in the video. Is the pressure really high? Is that pressure needed to get the flake to pass through the gun? Was the tip size larger 1.8, 2.0 or something smaller? Great results, awesome job!!! Thanks for sharing.

Is it a good idea or bad idea to paint outside especially with all the debris?

The best thing to do is buy a professional spray booth. I would do that if I were you.

You can use any flake brand that you can find. The flake in this video is .015 and you will need a gun with a 2.5mm tip. Anything smaller and the gun will clog. Don't use regular clear with flake, you need intercoat clear. I used AUTOBAHN products for clear and candy. Great service from dealer selling on ebay.
