8:55--Those Planters containers look pretty neat but must not have been around for very long, as I don't remember seeing them. 9:27--Hmmm...Couldn't that TV news team decide which anchor was going to present which stories? 9:48--"The Commitments"--one of my favorite musical comedy films. I was reading on Wikipedia that several of the cast members formed a real tribute band which I think may still be performing.
i'm confused. suzanne somers was in a tv movie about her own life?! that DeBeers commercial is cool planters ad Ftw That sure is a rockin' sweater Joan Lunden has on in the gma promo
The Fisher King is a pretty fantastic movie, but that commercial makes it look awful. Looks like Suzanne Somers was trying for an Emmy there. I don't think it worked. Jones had won an Emmy about that time for Gabriel's Fire, a serious detective drama where he played a former cop who had been wrongly convicted. Ratings weren't great, so ABC decided to revamp it into a buddy comedy, Pros & Cons. Ratings were even worse. The Commish: back when Vic Mackey was good and had hair.
I hate it when commercials tell me not to adjust my TV set. How about YOU just stop fucking up the picture in the first place? And quit filling it with beer, too! Nice job with the morphing Ford truck though, admen. By 1991 CGI standards, that was intense!
2:53--"Perfect Strangers"--one of my favorites! This must have been near the end of the show's original run, because I don't think it lasted much longer after Larry and Jennifer were married. Sure wish one of the retro TV channels available over the air would pick it up.
I am ashamed to say that I both watched and liked Baby Talk. There's no accounting for taste when you're 8...also, was this taped in the Midland, TX area? I NEVER thought commercials from my hometown would be featured in the vault! Very, very cool.
Heh, so these new cars come out and they all look so futuristic! Then I look at the same cars x many years later and they look like a bad try. Makes me think, in a way, we all drive pieces of shit!
R.I.P. Robin Williams (1951-2014)!

Did anyone else notice that the commercial for "Paradise" used an instrumental version of Roxette's "Fading Like A Flower". It's a great song
Nice early 90s set.
Yes rare to see James Earl Jones on TV too!
5:15 love the dot matrix printer in the background

@PowerGlove79 Thank you! For the life of me I could not remember the name of that song! It was beginning to drive me crazy.

Had the men not been in front of a camera, they would’ve ran for the hills after the positive EPT test. That’s the impression I got.
The Dole Juice commercial music HAS to have been done by Mark Mothersbaugh. It just sounds too much like Rugrats music.
+sumoni Lol, I think you're right!
That Miller Lite commercial probably caused lots of ER trips from alcoholics who literally tipped their TVs and ended up falling on them.
That PSA was good, but PeeWee Herman's was more informative hehe

:)
That news update looks like a 12 year old is filming it.
Wow, Biosphere 2, what a flop that was.
