I think the comments about the bad singers i somehow unfair... She is singing this song her way, trying to mimic Natasha would just have been dishonest !
She has a powerful voice that does not easily fit in the original softness of the song...

Hendrix is just a matter of opinion; some think he was great because of the experimental sound, some think he was just plain tonedeaf. I think Hendrix wasn't a great musician, but he was a crucial element in the history of music, forcing a breakthrough for experimental artists. Deep Purple and Pink Floyd on the other hand were great musicians as well as revolutionaries.

Yes Ke$ha is a half-ass singer, Britney is a mediocre singer, Madonna is a mediocre singer, but Beyonce, Christina Aguillera, Rihanna and Gwen Stefani are great singers, amongst many others. Fergie is a great singer, and there are many trolls like you saying she is terrible mainly because she doesn´t sound like Axl Rose singing Sweet Child o´Mine

You can hate kesha, rihanna, this singer here, you can hate everybody, you can hate pavarotti. but you can´t say pavarotti is a bad singer. As an audio engineer you of all people should know most singers nowadays, especially the girl singers, shouldn't be allowed to even get close to a mic.
Thanks to guys like you they do, messing up a complete industry with autotune and more of that shit because marketing managers of record companies want all their female artists to look like Barbie, no matter how they sound. Ke$ha is a perfect example of this.

the problem with this track is that the originals had white singers with much higher and smoother voices, so when you expect to hear something like the original, than it sounds weird and out of place to an extent. But that happens with many people covering songs that are not written for their vocal range.

The vocals are poor, true, but Live versions from any band can go 'tits up', (coldplay/U2 etc) I've heard even the best fail, Nick and the boys carry her through, and this version is a grower, bad vocals and all! On the plus side she is a hottie and is wearing great boots!! I've heard Beddingfield kill a few tunes live aswell!
